Pick and Win Terms and Conditions

 

These My Digicel Christmas “Pick & Win and Weekly & Grand Draw Raffle” Promotion (the “Promotion”) terms and conditions (the “Terms”) apply to you and govern your participation in the Promotion for chances to win certain prizes on the My Digicel mobile application (the “App”). You should read these FAQs and Terms carefully before participating in the Promotion.

“We” or “us” means Digicel Barbados Limited, a company registered under the laws of Barbados with registered offices at 2nd Floor Williams Tower, Williams Industrial Complex, Warrens, St. Michael. References to “we”, “our” and “us” in these Terms also includes our subsidiaries and affiliates (“Affiliates”) from time to time.

“I” or “You” means the person accessing or using the App to participate in the Promotion (and “my” and “your” shall have the same meaning).

By participating in the Promotion on the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

These Terms incorporate the MyDigicel App Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy which you can access via the App.

If you do not agree to or accept any of these Terms, you should stop participating in the Promotion immediately.

 

 

1.     What is the My Digicel Christmas “Pick & Win and Weekly & Grand Draw Raffle” Promotion?                             

As part of our Christmas campaign, the Digicel Christmas “Pick & Win and Weekly & Grand Draw Raffle” Promotion (the “Promotion”) allows MyDigicel App (the “App”) users to win prizes through participating in the Pick & Win feature of our Promotion. Once participants participate in Pick & Win, they will also receive entries in our Weekly Raffle and our Grand Draw Raffle (collectively, the “Raffles”) for a chance to win even more prizes.

 

The Promotion allows you to:

    a. PICK & WIN – complete specified activities to win prizes by unlocking boxes in the MyDigicel App (the “App”).

    b. WIN A WEEKLY RAFFLE PRIZE – participate in Pick & Win to get an entry into our Weekly Raffle.

    c.  WIN A GRAND DRAW RAFFLE PRIZE – participate in Pick & Win to get an entry into our Grand Draw Raffle.

 

 

2.     What is the Promotional Period for the Promotion?

 

The Promotion starts on December 3, 2022, and ends on January 7, 2023 (the “Promotional Period”).

 

 

PART A – PICK & WIN

(Questions 3-10 apply to Pick & Win only)

 

3.     What is Pick & Win?

 

Pick & Win is a feature of our Promotion that allows participants the opportunity to win prizes. Upon completing a Qualified Activity, participants have the option of picking one of three boxes in the App for a chance to win a prize. Prizes will vary, and there is no guarantee that a participant will win a prize, subject to these Terms.

 

 

4.     What activities qualify me to participate in Pick & Win?

 

Complete one of the activities below (“Qualified Activities”) to participate in the Promotion:

5.     Who is eligible to participate in Pick & Win?

The following persons are eligible to participate in Pick & Win:

 

    a.     Digicel GSM (Mobile) prepaid customers; and

    b.     Digicel GSM (Mobile postpaid customers.

 

 

6.     How does Pick & Win work?

 

Follow the steps below to participate:

    Step 1: Complete a Qualified Activity.

    Step 2: Upon completing a Qualified Activity, you will get instant access to “Pick & Win” in the App. You will also receive one (1) raffle ticket for the Weekly Raffle and one (1) raffle ticket for the Grand Draw Raffle.

    Step 3: Participate in Pick & Win in the App by picking the box of your choice. Once you select a box, you will receive one (1) raffle ticket for the Weekly Raffle and one (1) raffle ticket for the Grand Draw Raffle. You must “Pick & Win” on the same day that you complete a Qualified Activity (up until midnight) in order to participate.

    Step 4: Redeem or gift your prize.

    Step 5: Track your points and raffle entries in the App or UMM.

 

 

7.     What are the chances of winning?

 

Participants will be limited to three (3) wins per day. When you participate in Pick & Win, you are not guaranteed to win a prize. However, participants of Pick & Win can enjoy a “Guaranteed Win Day” (subject to these Terms). Guaranteed ‘Win Days’ will be on Wednesdays. Each participant who participates in Pick & Win on a Wednesday will receive a prize.

 

 

8.     What prizes can I win if I participate in Pick & Win?

Pick & Win winners can win any of the following prizes:

        i.  Telco prizes –

                Prepaid; 1GB, 3GB & 7GB App Data, 500MB & 1GB Data and 50 INT’L mins.

                Postpaid; 1GB, 2GB & 5GB Digital App and 100 INT’L mins

      ii.   Collateral/Coupons for: Ham Vouchers, Hardware Vouchers, Supermarket Vouchers and Gas Vouches.

 

Also, all Pick & Win participants will win one (1) entry into the Weekly Raffle and one (1) entry into the Grand Draw Raffle when they:

    i.  Complete a Qualified Activity; and

    ii. When they participate in Pick & Win.

 

 

9.     How are prizes redeemed?

 

    i.   You can redeem your Telco prize immediately in the App.

    ii.  You can redeem your tangible prize and/or coupons by following the instructions of the Digicel representative who will contact you.

 

 

10.     How are prizes gifted?

 

You can gift your Pick & Win prize to another Digicel customer by selecting the “Gift” option when your gift appears on screen in the App.

 

 

PART B - RAFFLES

(Questions 11-18 apply to the Raffles only)

 

 

11.     What is the Weekly Raffle?

The Weekly Raffle is a raffle that will be schedule as outline below during each week of the Promotional Period ending Dec 30^th. Participants can win entries into the Weekly Raffle by completing a Qualified Activity.

         i.  Collateral/Coupons – Tuesdays & Thursdays

         ii.  Cash Vault – Saturdays

 

 

12.     What is the Grand Draw Raffle?

 

The Grand Draw Raffle is a raffle that will be held on Jan 10^th 2023 Participants can win entries into the Grand Draw Raffle by completing a Qualified Activity.

 

 

13.     What activities give participants an entry into the Raffles?

                    i.     Prepaid:

                                        1.     Buy a CAIN Plan

                                        2.     Entries Won in Pick N Win (Gamification)

                                        3.     Make a call for 2 minutes or more (CVM- BTL Only)

                                        4.     Top Up CAIN Plans

                      ii.      Postpaid

                                        1.     Pay a Bill

                                        2.     Entries Won in Pick N Win (Gamification)

                                        3.     BTL (Retail) Postpaid Activation. 

                       iii.     Digicel+

                                        1.     Pay bill

                                        2.     Installation/Activations of Digicel+

 

 

14.     Who is eligible to win a prize in the Raffles? 

        a.     Participants who complete a Qualified Activity; and

        b.     Participants who participate in Pick & Win.

 

 

15.     How do the Raffles work?

Follow these steps to participate:

        A.     Prepaid Customers

        Step 1: Complete a Qualified Activity to receive one (1) entry into the Weekly Raffle and one (1) entry into the Grand Draw Raffle. Your entry will be in the form of a raffle ticket, and you will receive it immediately upon completion of the Qualified Activity.

        Step 2: Participate in Pick & Win on the day you complete a Qualified Activity to receive one (1) entry into the Weekly Raffle and one (1) entry into the Grand Draw Raffle. Your entry will be in the form of a raffle ticket, and you will receive it immediately after you “Pick & Win”.  

        Step 3: Monitor your raffle entries in the App and UMM.

        

 

        B.     Postpaid Customers

        Step 1: Upon completing a Qualified Activity, you will get [1] entry into the Weekly Raffle and [1] entry into the Grand Draw Raffle. Your entry will be in the form of a raffle ticket, and you will receive it immediately upon completion of the Qualified Activity.

        Step 2: “Pick & Win” on the day you complete a Qualified Activity to receive one (1) entry into the Weekly Raffle and one (1) entry into the Grand Draw Raffle. Your entry will be in the form of a raffle ticket, and you will receive it immediately after you “Pick & Win”. 

        Step 3: Monitor your raffle entries in the App and UMM.

 

 

16.     What prizes can winners of the Raffles win?

        A.     Weekly Raffle

       Weekly Raffle winners can win:

                i.    Collateral/Coupons for: Ham Vouchers and Supermarket Vouchers.

                ii.   Cash Vault

 

        B.     Grand Draw Raffle

        Grand Draw Raffle winners can win:  

                i.    Up to $10,000 BDS in Cash

 

 

17.     How many times can I win?

Participants can win the Weekly Raffle multiple times throughout the Promotional Period. Participants can only win the Grand Draw Raffle once during the entire Promotional Period.

 

 

18.     What do I need to know about redeeming my Raffle prize?

If you have won the Weekly or Grand Prize Raffle, follow the instructions of the Digicel representative who will contact you to redeem your prize.

 

 

PART C – MUTUAL TERMS

(Questions 19-22 to both Pick & Win and the Raffles)

 

 

19.     Who cannot participate in the Promotion?

The following customers are excluded from participating in the Promotion:

        a.     Postpaid Corporate & Business account customers;

        b.     Home & Entertainment only customers; and

        c.     Postpaid customers with overdue amounts.

 

 

20.     Can I participate in the Promotion while roaming?

This Promotion is not accessible while roaming.

 

 

21.     What will winners need to present in order to redeem their prize?

Winners must present a valid Government issued photo ID (passport, voter’s identification card or driver’s licence) and the phone used to participate in the Promotion. The winner will be required to complete and sign a redemption form confirming their receipt of the prize and a Consent and Release Form authorizing the use of their picture (where they chose to do so) on Social Media.

 

 

Additional Terms and Conditions

 

    A.    This Promotion is offered for your personal use and not for commercial use and you agree not to sell any rewards redeemed through this Promotion.

    B.    We reserve the right to disqualify you or terminate this offer if, in our sole opinion, the Promotion is being abused, such abuse to include but not be limited to selling or attempts to sell the prizes, whether on a commercial basis or otherwise, general abuse deemed as an attempt to undermine the integrity of our services.

    C.    You are solely responsible for all associated fees and costs incurred by you for redemption of prizes and for connectivity and data usage in relation to your use of the App.

    D.    The selected winners must have complied with these Terms and Conditions to enter and be on an active, qualifying contract with no accounts held with Digicel being in arrears to be eligible to win the prizes.

    E.    Warranty and support information will be included in product packaging.

    F.    We reserve the right to modify, extend or discontinue (permanently or temporarily), this Promotion being offered to you at our discretion.

   G.     If a prize is unavailable, we may, in our discretion, substitute the prize with an alternative prize of equal value and/or specification.

    H.    Except where the choice is given to trade, prizes are not exchangeable and are not redeemable for cash.

    I.    We reserve the right to, at any time, with or without notice, vary or cancel the terms and conditions of this Promotion. In the event of us giving notice to you of any such changes to or cancellation of the Promotion, it shall suffice for us to give you notice via messages to your handset/device or to post such notification on the Digicel website or the App. Any such notification shall be effective immediately or as of the date referred to in such notifications. 

    J.     Any personal data relating to participants will be used solely for the purposes of this Promotion by Digicel and/or by any agent or sub-processor duly appointed by Digicel to assist with mechanics, management, advertising, marketing, execution or any other operation of the Promotion, for and on behalf of Digicel and will not be disclosed to any other third party for any other purpose.   

    K.     By entering this Promotion, you consent to the use of your personal data by Digicel and/or any agent or sub-processor appointed by Digicel to carry out the Promotion. You further consent to Digicel's disclosure, use and publication of your name, nickname, image, voice, caricature, endorsement, signature, initials, reputation, autograph, address, country of birth and domicile, biographical data and/or likeness in connection with the exploitation, exhibition, distribution, advertising, publicity and promotion of the Promotion and the Digicel brand in all media, whether now known or hereafter devised, throughout the universe, perpetually and without restriction.     L.    Winners may share their winnings on their social media platforms and may be required to take part in related publicity, including (without limitation) publication of the name and image of a winner along with their winning entry via Digicel’s website, social media and other press and media channels. No payment will be given for this.

    M.    Except in the event of its negligence, neither Digicel, nor any other person or party associated with the Promotion, their associated companies, agents, contractors and sponsors or any of its personnel involved in the Promotion, shall be liable whatsoever for any loss or damage incurred or suffered, death or personal injury suffered or sustained, or costs incurred, arising from either participation in the Promotion or from claiming any reward.

    N.    In addition to these Terms and Conditions, you remain bound by our MyDigicel App Terms and Conditions of Use.
