1.      What is the prepaid Visitor SIM offer all about?

The prepaid Visitor SIM is an all-encompassing product (Voice, SMS and Data) that gives more value and offers short to short term visitors at an affordable price. The Visitor SIM is a convenient solution for visitors to stay connected with their friends and family during their stay in Barbados.

 

 

2.      What do I receive with my prepaid Visitor SIM?

Each Visitor SIM will come with the Visitor SIM Bundle:

ILD (International Long Distance): refers to Digicel Regional Territories and specific International countries.

Digicel Regional Territories: Anguilla, Antigua & Barbuda, Aruba, Bonaire, British Virgin Islands, Cayman, Curacao, Dominica, Dominican Republic, Grenada, Guadeloupe, Montserrat, St. Kitts & Nevis, St. Lucia, St. Vincent & the Grenadines, Suriname, T&T, TCI

Specific International Countries: USA, Canada and UK Fixed Line.

 

 

3.      Will the Visitor SIM be available as a Physical SIM or as an eSIM?

Yes, the Visitor SIM card will be available for purchase using both methods; physical SIM or eSIM.

To confirm your device is eSIM capable, dial the Short Code *#06# to verify your device has an eSIM ID or EID or another good way to check is to search your phone Settings (usually under Mobile Network/Connections) for the “Add eSIM/Add Mobile Plan” option.

 

 

4.      What is the difference of having a Visitor eSIM vs a Physical Visitor SIM Card?

 

·       eSIMs are hard-wired to your device while physical SIM cards are removable

·       eSIMs hold multiple profiles (phone numbers) per customer, while a physical SIM card holds one profile per customer.

 

 

5.      How do I activate the Visitor SIM?

To activate the SIM card dial *122# and the Visitor Pass Bundle will be activated automatically

7.      How can I add credit to my account?

Credit can be purchased from any authorized dealer or online at http://www.digicelgroup.com/bb/en/mobile.html

 

 

8.      How long is the Visitor SIM Bundle valid for?

The Visitor SIM Bundle is valid for 7, 10 and 30 days respectively. The plan will not auto renew or will auto renew once the minimum credit (associated plan cost) is added to the account.

9.      How can I reactivate my plan after it expires?

Once credit is added ($60, $80, $200), Dial *246#, select ‘Visitor Bundle’ and then select plan to activate.

 

 

10.  Where can I purchase a Visitor SIM?

A physical SIM card can be purchased;

 

·       Retail Outlet- with Digicel Agents selling the SIM card

 

           An eSIM can be purchased;

Your QR Code can be scanned up to 5 times on the same or another device. That is, you can delete your eSIM profile and reactivate it up to 5 times on the same or different eSIM capable device.

 

 

11.   When activating eSIM can I use Data or the Internet?

 

·       You must be connected to the internet- Wi Fi.

·       Your physical SIM must be removed from the device before scanning the QR code, as this allows for a smoother activation.

 

 

12.  Can I transfer my eSIM to another device?

Delete your eSIM profile from the current device first, then scan your QR Code on to the new device.

 

 

13.  Who is eligible to purchase a Visitor SIM?

Any short term visitor to the country that produces a valid form of Identification (ID) to authorized agent (s) will be eligible to purchase a special Visitor SIM.

 

 

14.  How many Visitor SIMs can a visitor purchase?

All Visitors presenting a valid ID will be allowed two (2) SIMs per year.

·       IPhone models that support eSIM can have multiple eSIMs even with a physical SIM.

·       Android devices can only accept one eSIM profile, separate from a physical SIM.

 

 

15.  Can I use the Visitor SIM with any promotion?

No, the Visitor SIM will not be eligible for any promotions available in the market.

 

 

16.   How long is the Visitor SIM valid for?

The Visitor SIM will be valid for a period of 90 days from activation but once you add credit to your SIM the validity period will be extended to 365 days.
