You’re important to us, and we always want to ensure that we are doing right by you.

That’s why we are informing you that personal information for some of our customers was inadvertently shared externally.

The Cybersecurity and Privacy teams were immediately engaged and are actively investigating the matter to fully understand and assess it impact. While the incident was limited in scope, we are treating it with the utmost seriousness and are conducting a full investigation to understand the impact and prevent a recurrence.

Preliminary findings indicate that the incident resulted from inadvertent human error, where a file containing personal information including customer names, physical addresses, email addresses, phone numbers, and Digicel account numbers was shared externally. No financial information, passwords, authentication credentials, government-issued identification, or call detail records were involved. We have robust policies and processes in place to protect customer information, and there is no indication that this incident was the result of intentional, malicious or fraudulent activity.

Our first priority on recognising the error, was communicating directly to our affected customers.  You continue to be our priority while we simultaneously ensure the necessary notifications are made to the regulatory authorities.  Affected customers can expect further direct outreach today as we focus on guiding and supporting you as we manage this issue. 

Protecting customer information is our top priority, and we are committed to continuously strengthening our processes and data protection measures. There is no action required from our customers at this time, though we recommend remaining vigilant for any suspicious emails, calls, or messages requesting personal or account information.
