Terms and Conditions

During the Promotional Period defined below, Digicel is offering the My Value Max (D+ Customer Special) Port-In Promotion (the “Promotion”). 

 

These Frequently Asked Questions (“FAQs”) and Terms and Conditions (the “Terms”) apply to you and govern your participation in this Promotion.

 

“We” or “us” means Digicel (Trinidad & Tobago) Limited, a company registered under the laws of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago with registered offices at 11C Maraval Road, Port of Spain, Trinidad.  References to “we”, “our” and “us” in these Terms also includes our subsidiaries and affiliates (“Affiliates”) from time to time.

 

“I” or “you” means the person participating in the Promotion (and “my” and “your” shall have the same meaning).

 

By participating in the Promotion, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

 

These Terms incorporate the Privacy Policy which you can access via the Digicel’s website.

 

If you do not agree to or accept any of these Terms, or if you are under the age of eighteen (18), you should stop participating in the Promotion immediately.

 

 

1. What is the My Value Max (D+ Customer Special) Port-in Promotion (“Promotion”)?

For the period 19th March 2025 to 18th April, 2025 (“Promotional Period”), the My Value Max (D+ Customer Special) Port-In Promotion will be offered to our Digicel+ subscribers who do not have Digicel mobile service and would like to switch over to Digicel mobile.  This Promotion offers a 40% discount on the Postpaid My Value Max Plan.

 

 

2. What are the features of the My Value Max (D+ Customer Special) plan included in this Promotion?

The features of the My Value Max (D+ Customer Special) plan are shown in the table below:

Customers should note the following:

     

  • The discounted price takes effect from the first full (non-prorated) bill.

 

  • Anywhere Minutes apply to local calls (i.e. Digicel mobile, non-Digicel mobile and landline numbers), Digicel Caribbean mobile numbers (including Guyana and Jamaica), US, Canada and UK landlines(only).

 

  • Customers who have fully utilized their bundle can purchase Add-Ons to the bundle to access additional services. If the customer is unable to purchase anymore Add-Ons, an automatic message will be sent to call Customer Care by dialling 100 from your Digicel mobile handset.

3. Where can I, as a customer, use the roaming data included in the My Value Max (D+ Customer Special) plan?

The roaming data in those plans can only be used in Caribbean territories where Digicel has a network. Please refer to the Postpaid My Plan Terms and Conditions for a full list of Digicel Caribbean territories.

 

4. How can I participate in this Promotion?

 You can only participate in this Promotion via a Digicel sales agent.

 

5. Can I, as a customer eligible to participate in the Promotion, refer persons that do not meet all the campaign criteria?

No. Only customers who meet the outlined criteria will be able to avail this Promotion. Referrals will be contacted with another applicable promotion.  

 

6. Can customers with more than one potential port person in the household sign up for a Family plan?

There is no family plan currently available for this offer.

 

7. How many numbers can a D+ customer who meets the campaign criteria port in under this Promotion?

D+ customers who meet the criteria outlined can port in two (2) mobile numbers to Digicel on this plan.

 

8. Will I have to sign a new contract?

Yes, you will have to sign a new postpaid mobile contract for a minimum service period of eighteen (18) months.  You will also need to remain on the My Value Max (D+ Customer Special) plan and pay your bills in full and on time to avail of the discount.

 

9. Will the My Choice plan be discounted as part of this Promotion?

No. This Promotion only applies to Digicel+ customers porting onto the My Value Max (D+ Customer Special) plan.

 

10. Can I downgrade to another postpaid plan and still avail of the discount?

You must remain on the My Value Max (D+ Customer Special) plan for a minimum of twelve (12) months, after which, you can move to another postpaid plan.  However, the discount and My Value Max plan offerings will no longer be available after you have moved to another plan.

 

11. Can I convert to prepaid or terminate the service within the minimum service period?

If you wish to convert to prepaid or terminate the service during the eighteen (18) month minimum service period, you will be responsible for paying the full subscription fee of the My Value Max plan multiplied by the number of months remaining in your 18-month contract.

 

12. What happens if I do not pay my mobile bill on time and in full?

If you do not pay your Digicel mobile bill on time and in full, your mobile service will be one-way barred (that is, you can receive calls, but you cannot make calls). If payment is still not remitted within twenty-seven (27) days of your service being one-way barred, you will be fully disconnected.  

 

13. What happens if I do not pay my Digicel+ bill on time and in full?

If you do not pay your Digicel+ bill on time and in full, you will be contacted by a Digicel agent with a payment reminder.  Failure to pay your Digicel+ bill within seven (7) days of being contacted will result in your discount on the My Value Max plan being removed; if this happens, you will have the option to downgrade to a different postpaid plan. If you choose not to downgrade to a different postpaid plan and instead you choose to terminate your postpaid mobile service, you will be responsible for paying the full subscription fee of the My Value Max plan multiplied by the number of months remaining in your 18-month contract.

 

14. What happens to my My Value Max (D+ Customer Special) plan if I terminate my Digicel+ account?

If you terminate your Digicel+ account, you forfeit the ability to retain the discount on the My Value Max plan. You will have the option to downgrade to a different postpaid plan. If you choose not to downgrade to a different postpaid plan and instead you choose to terminate your postpaid mobile service, you will be responsible for paying the full subscription fee of the My Value Max plan multiplied by the number of months remaining in your 18-month contract.

 

15. After signing up for Digicel+ and the My Value Max (D+ Customer Special) Port-In Promotion, when will my number be switched to Digicel?

 

New Customers:
Once the Digicel+ installation is successful, Digicel will contact you to begin the port in process to Digicel mobile service, which includes the signing of the Mobile Service Agreement and the Port-In Authorization Form.

If the installation is unsuccessful, you will be contacted with a new postpaid port in offer as you must have an active Digicel+ account to avail of the My Value Max (D+ Customer Special) Port-In Promotion.

 

Existing Digicel+ Customers:

If you are an existing Digicel+ customer, you will begin the postpaid porting process after completion and signing of the Mobile Service Agreement and the Port-In Authorization Form.

 

16. What happens if my Digicel+ installation is unsuccessful?

All customers with unsuccessful installs will be contacted by Digicel with a revised offer. Customers will be offered the My Choice Plan for $300 TTD (VAT Inclusive) along with a 10% discount on the monthly subscription fee for six (6) months.

 

17. Additional Terms and Conditions

  • The offers in this Promotion are for the personal use of individuals and not commercial use or usage by groups of individuals. Any usage at all by an individual that in Digicel’s sole discretion is intended for financial gain or profit by you or by groups of individuals will result in the immediate termination of the Promotion.

  • Digicel shall have the right to disqualify any individual from availing of any offer in this Promotion, if in its sole opinion, the offer(s) is being abused by that individual.

  • Digicel reserves the right to terminate this Promotion or any offer or all forthwith if, in its sole opinion, the offers are being abused. 

  • Digicel reserves the right to modify or discontinue (permanently or temporarily) this Promotion being offered to its customer at its discretion.

  • Digicel reserves the right to at any time, with or without notice, to vary or cancel the terms and conditions of this Promotion. In the event of Digicel giving notice to customers of any such changes to or cancellation of the Promotion, it shall suffice for Digicel to give customers notice via messages to customer’s handset/device or to post such notification on Digicel’s website. Any such notification shall be effective immediately or as of the date referred to in such notification.

  • Customers shall be solely responsible for keeping their mobile handset properly secured and for all activations and other activities that occur on or through their mobile handsets. Any request made via the use of a short code from a mobile handset or via the My Digicel App shall be deemed a legitimate request from the customer to whom the said mobile handset is registered. Digicel shall not be responsible for any losses arising out of the unauthorized use of a customer’s handset.

  • Except in the event of its negligence, neither Digicel, nor any other person or party associated with the Promotion, their associated companies, agents, contractors and sponsors or any of its personnel involved in the Promotion, shall be liable whatsoever for any loss or damage incurred or suffered, death or personal injury suffered or sustained, or costs incurred, arising from participation in the Promotion.

  • Subject to the above, Digicel’s Mobile Telephone Services Terms and Conditions and Digicel’s Postpaid My Plan Terms and Conditions shall apply.

  • These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago.
