Family Plan Promotion Terms and Conditions

Terms and Conditions:

During the Promotional Period defined below, Digicel is offering the Family Plan Promotion (the “Promotion”). 

 

These Frequently Asked Questions (“FAQs”) and Terms and Conditions (the “Terms”) apply to you and govern your participation in this Promotion.

 

“We” or “us” means Digicel (Trinidad & Tobago) Limited, a company registered under the laws of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago with registered offices at 11C Maraval Road, Port of Spain, Trinidad.  References to “we”, “our” and “us” in these Terms also includes our subsidiaries and affiliates (“Affiliates”) from time to time.

 

“I” or “you” means the person participating in the Promotion (and “my” and “your” shall have the same meaning).

 

By participating in the Promotion, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

 

These Terms incorporate the Privacy Policy which you can access via the Digicel’s website.

 

If you do not agree to or accept any of these Terms, or if you are under the age of eighteen (18), you should stop participating in the Promotion immediately.

 

 

1.       What is the Family Plan Promotion (“Promotion”)?

For the period 6th November 2025 to 31st December. 2025 (“Promotional Period”), the Family Plan Promotion will be made available to all Digicel mobile customers and all persons who do not currently possess a Digicel mobile service and wish to transition their mobile service to Digicel.

Under this Promotion, persons may subscribe to a Day One Plan, a shared family mobile plan that comprises a “Parent Account” and up to four (4) supplementary “Child Lines”. Tiered discounts will be applied to the Child Lines, with the value of the discount increasing in accordance with the number of Child Lines added to the Parent Account. The Promotion is applicable to both prepaid and postpaid mobile services.

“Parent Account” refers to the primary mobile account holder under the Day One Plan who is responsible for the management, billing, and overall administration of the shared plan, including the addition or removal of Child Lines.

“Child Line(s)” refers to the supplementary mobile line(s) linked to the Parent Account under the Day One Plan. Each Child Line is eligible for a discount based on the total number of Child Lines associated with the Parent Account.

The promotion includes options designed for only port in customer groups (the Day One Plan) as well as groups comprised of both port in and existing customers (the Day One Mix 3 and Day One Mix 5 plans).

 

2.       What are the features of the Day One Port In plan included in this Promotion?

The features of the Day One Port In plan are shown in the table below:

The price and associated discounts are dependent on the number of persons on the plan as detailed in the table below.  Note the prices apply to both the prepaid and postpaid Day One plans.

Customers should note the following:

- All members of this Day One Port In plan must be customers who are now porting in to Digicel’s mobile network.

- Anywhere Minutes apply to local calls (i.e. Digicel mobile, non-Digicel mobile and landline numbers), Digicel Caribbean mobile numbers (including Guyana and Jamaica), US, Canada and UK landlines (only).

 

3.       Can existing Digicel mobile subscribers join a Day One Plan?

Yes. If the prospective members of the Day One plan comprise both existing Digicel mobile subscribers and customers porting into Digicel, the members must choose from one of the following plans:

Customers should note the following:

-  Day One Mix 3 plan: allows a maximum of three (3) persons and at least one (1) member of the plan must be a new or port-in subscriber.

-  Day One Mix 5 plan: allows a maximum of five (5) persons and at least two (2) members of the plan must be a new or port-in subscriber.

-  The plan price is fixed regardless of the number of persons in the plan

-  The holder of the Parent Account (“Parent”) can add, remove or substitute members up to the maximum number allowed

 

4.       How many persons can be on a Day One plan?

A Day One Plan accommodates a minimum of two (2) subscribers, comprising one (1) Parent Account and one (1) Child Line, and a maximum of five (5) subscribers, comprising one (1) Parent Account and up to four (4) Child Lines.


5.       How will each subscriber access the plan?

Once the plan is activated, each member will have access to the common pool of data and voice minutes.


6.       Will specific amounts of data and minutes be assigned to individual members?

No. The holder of the Parent Account (“Parent”) and holders of the Child Lines (hereinafter sometimes referred to as “Children” and individually as “Child”) are free to use any amount of data or number of minutes up to the limit of the plan allocation.

 

7.       Will the mobile number that I port in with still be mine?

·       If you are the Parent, then yes, the number will still be assigned to you.

·       If you are a Child, the number that you ported in with will be assigned to the Parent.

 

8.       How can I know how much data and minutes were used?

Only the Parent can see how much data and minutes were used during the service period by dialling *120*47# for minutes and *120*49# for data.

 

9.       What happens if the data or minutes runs out?

During the Promotional Period, both Parents and Children will not have access to data or Anywhere Minutes add-ons hence they will be required to wait on the new cycle for their balances to be refreshed.

 

10.   Can the Parent or Child purchase Add-ons?

No. Add-Ons are not currently available for this Day One plan, however they will be introduced soon and will only be available to the Parent.


11.   Will all the plan members receive a bill for the Postpaid Day One plan?

No. Only the Parent will receive a bill. This bill will include detailed information on all calls and data usage made by the Parent and Children within the plan.

 

12.   Who is responsible for paying the bill for the Postpaid Day One plan?

The Parent will be responsible for paying all the charges on the Postpaid Day One plan.

 

13.   How are the Parent and Children of the Day One plan chosen?

Persons signing up for the Day One plan will designate one (1) number to be the Parent Account and the Parent will be required to sign and agree to Digicel’s customer agreement and these Terms. The remaining numbers will be assigned as Child Line(s) under the Day One plan and each Child will be required to sign and agree to these Terms.

 

14.   Can additional Children be added to the plan after the initial activation?

Yes, additional Child Line(s)  may be added to the plan up to a maximum of four (4) Child lines. Parents are required to initiate these change requests by sending an email to tt_familyplan@digicelgroup.com and each Child will be required to sign and agree to these Terms.

 

15.   Can there be more than one Parent in the Day One plan?

No. There can only be one (1) Parent for each Day One plan.

 

16.   Can the Parent or a Child leave the Day One plan?

·       A Child can leave the Day One plan at any time upon written request by the Parent to Digicel.

·       If the Parent wishes to leave the plan, another member of the plan must be designated as the Parent; the previous Parent must send a letter of authorisation to transfer the Parent Account to the new designated Parent and the new designated Parent must sign and agree to Digicel’s customer agreement, provide a signed letter agreeing to pay any outstanding bill amounts including roaming charges and sign and agree to these Terms. 

·       Two (2) persons, at minimum, must remain on the plan for the Day One plan to be valid and one of these persons must be the Parent. If only one person remains, the Day One plan will be terminated and that person can choose another postpaid or prepaid plan in order to have service.

·       Please note that such changes will impact the discounts as it will shift based on how many members remain on the plan.  Parents are required to initiate these change requests by sending an email to tt_familyplan@digicelgroup.com.

 

17.   How can I add additional Children or swap Children on the plan?

·       Only the Parent may request to add, remove, or substitute Child Line(s) on the Day One Plan. To make such a request, the Parent must provide a valid form of national photo identification and may submit their request via email to tt_familyplan@digicelgroup.com

·       Each added Child must sign and agree to these Terms.

 

 

18.   Can either the Parent or a Child roam?

·       Yes. Please note that roaming plans are not included in in the Day One plan and must be purchased separately by the Parent.

·       Postpaid Parent and Child Line(s) are subject to their individual credit limits as requested or authorised by the Parent.

 

19.   Can I purchase a Prepaid D ’Plans while on the prepaid Day One plan?

Yes. Prepaid D’Plans will be available for both the Parent Account and the Child Lines, however, Day One plan bundles will be depleted before the D’Plan bundles.

 

20.   Can I sign up for a My Choice Postpaid Plan or any other Postpaid plan while on the Postpaid Day One plan?

No. To sign up for another postpaid plan, your membership in the Day One plan must first be terminated by the Parent.

21.   For Postpaid, will I, as a Parent or a Child, have to sign a new contract?

Yes, you will have to sign a new postpaid mobile contract for a minimum service period of one (1) month as well as these Terms.

 

22.   Can I downgrade to another postpaid plan?

Individual members can downgrade to another postpaid plan six (6) months after the initial activation date once the Parent consents.  However, at least two (2) members must remain on the Day One plan with one member being the Parent.  If all the plan members, with the consent of the Parent, wish to downgrade to another plan, the Day One plan will be terminated, and each member may choose an alternate prepaid or postpaid plan in order to have service.  The Parent in the Day One plan will be responsible for clearing any outstanding balances (including early termination fees) before the plan can be terminated.

 

23.   What happens if I, as a Parent, do not pay my postpaid Day One plan bill on time and in full?

If you do not pay your Digicel mobile bill on time and in full, service on the Parent Account and the Child Lines will be one-way barred (that is, you can receive calls, but you cannot make calls). If payment is still not remitted within twenty-six (26) days of service being one-way barred, the Parent Account and the Child Lines will be fully disconnected. This would mean all members will not have any service.

 

24.   Additional Terms and Conditions

• The offers in this Promotion are for the personal use of individuals and not commercial use. Any usage at all by an individual that in Digicel’s sole discretion is intended for financial gain or profit by you will result in the immediate termination of the Promotion.

• Digicel shall have the right to disqualify any individual from availing of any offer in this Promotion, if in its sole opinion, the offer(s) is being abused by that individual.

• Digicel reserves the right to terminate this Promotion or any offer or all forthwith if, in its sole opinion, the offers are being abused. 

• Digicel reserves the right to modify or discontinue (permanently or temporarily) this Promotion being offered to its customer at its discretion.

• Digicel reserves the right to at any time, with or without notice, to vary or cancel the terms and conditions of this Promotion. In the event of Digicel giving notice to customers of any such changes to or cancellation of the Promotion, it shall suffice for Digicel to give customers notice via messages to customer’s handset/device or to post such notification on Digicel’s website. Any such notification shall be effective immediately or as of the date referred to in such notification.

• Customers shall be solely responsible for keeping their mobile handset properly secured and for all activations and other activities that occur on or through their mobile handsets. Any request made via the use of a short code from a mobile handset or via the My Digicel App shall be deemed a legitimate request from the customer to whom the said mobile handset is registered. Digicel shall not be responsible for any losses arising out of the unauthorized use of a customer’s handset.

• Except in the event of its negligence, neither Digicel, nor any other person or party associated with the Promotion, their associated companies, agents, contractors and sponsors or any of its personnel involved in the Promotion, shall be liable whatsoever for any loss or damage incurred or suffered, death or personal injury suffered or sustained, or costs incurred, arising from participation in the Promotion.

• Subject to the above, Digicel’s Mobile Telephone Services Terms and Conditions and Digicel’s Postpaid My Plan Terms and Conditions shall apply.

• These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago.
