What are Jamaica's Stay Connected Plans?

 

Stay Connected Plans are our value-packed data and talk plans available for purchase by your family and friends in the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom via Diaspora Online and/or Retail stores whereby if you are a Digicel prepaid customer in Jamaica, you are able to benefit from the purchase for usage in Jamaica. They comprise three bundles/plans with differing durations: the 7-day, 14-day, and 28-day duration plans. The stay connected plans give you unlimited local Digicel talk, any-use data, data for Digicel apps, night-time bonus data, unlimited WhatsApp, and one free Magic number. Stay Connected Plans come in convenient sizes - Small, Medium, and Large - with up to 20GB of data. The Bundles include Data allotments for Digicel apps, such as D’Music, BiP, PlayGo (basic access), Loop, Billo, Data, SportsMax and GoLoud. 

The “Stay Connected Bundles” are packed with up to 50GB of Any-Use Data and unlimited local Digicel calls.

Customers will also receive an opportunity to select a magic number (International- USA, Canada) to call for the validity of the plan.

The new Stay Connected Bundles will be available to international customers ONLY via international Digicel outlets and online at www.digicelInternational.com.

Customers will be able to purchase the Stay Connected Bundle via Online and Retail stores to receive the below:

· Customers get more value with up to 50GB of Any- Use Data.

· UNLIMITED local Digicel to Digicel calls

The Stay Connected Bundles are sold internationally via retail outlets and online - www.DigicelInternational.com. 

All Digicel prepaid customers can enjoy the value and convenience of the Stay Connected Bundles.

Customers may dial *147# or check the bundle in the MyDigicel App at a.mydigicel.net

Prime Apps balances can be checked in MDA.

No, the plan will not auto renew. The Plan will set to expire based on the duration of the plan. 

Yes, once the customers renewed their bundle before it expires, they will be able to rollover data up to up to 500GB.

Yes. Notifications will be sent to the customer via SMS.

Unlimited Digicel calls will cover the below:

· Local on-net mobile numbers

· Fixed line WiMAX Numbers

· Digicel home landline

Yes. Unlimited Voice, Data Nights and Unlimited WhatsApp will remain for its original validity.  

The following will happen:

· Data Nights and Unlimited WhatsApp will maintain its original validity if the customer move away from the Stay Connected and the new plan has a shorter validity.

· If the customer move away from the Stay Connected and the new plan’s validity is longer than that of the Stay Connected, the benefits such as Unltd call will end at the time the Stay Connected bundle is set to expire.   

· Magic Number and Unlimited Voice will assume the validity of the Stay Connected Bundle. 

The Magic Number invitation will remain on the account for the duration of the plan.

Follow the below:

· Dial *147#, select on the asterisk (*) –Next.

· Then select Option 8 - Bonuses.

· Select on option 4 –Magic Number.

· Then they will be prompted to nominate a magic number.

· Customers will receive an SMS notification that they have successfully nominated a magic number. 

Customers will be able to nominate the below destination:  

· USA Mobile and landline

· Canada Mobile and Landline 

No. customers will only be able to purchase the plan from an international retail store or online whilst being overseas and not in Jamaica.

Yes. Once the customer repurchases the same Add On, it will rollover. Note that the Add-On bundle will only be valid for the duration of the main plan.

No, once a customer has a magic number, they will be given unlimited calls for the duration of the plan. 

The Add-on will take the validity of the Stay Connected Bundle.
