The “Christmas Is A 10” Promotion (the “Promotion”) Terms and Conditions (the “Terms”) apply to you and govern your participation in the Promotion for a chance to win cash and prizes. You should read these Terms carefully before participating in the Promotion.
“We” or “us” means Digicel (Jamaica) Limited, a company registered under the laws of Jamaica with registered offices at 14 Ocean Boulevard, Kingston, Jamaica. References to “we”, “our” and “us” in these Terms include our subsidiaries and affiliates (“Affiliates”) from time to time.
“I” or “You” means the person participating in this Promotion.
If you do not agree to or accept any of these Terms, you should stop participating in the Promotion immediately.
- What is the “Christmas Is A 10” Promotion?
This Promotion provides an opportunity for our Prepaid, Postpaid and Digicel+ (formerly Home and Entertainment) customers as well as our prepaid youth customers who are twenty-one (21) years old and younger (youth customers) to win various prizes once they perform a Qualifying Activity during the Promotional Period. There will be:
- ten (10) weekly winners (for each week of the Promotion) for mobile (Prepaid and Postpaid);
- ten (10) weekly winners for Digicel+;
- ten (10) grand prize winners for mobile (Prepaid and Postpaid);
- ten (10) grand prize winners for Digicel+;
- ten (10) weekly winners (for each week of the Promotion) for the youth customers; and
- ten (10) grand prize winners for the youth customers.
- What is the Promotional Period?
This Promotion is valid from November 10, 2023, at 12:00 AM EST through to December 26, 2023, at 11:59 PM EST.
- Who is eligible to enter the Promotion?
In order to be eligible for this Promotion, you must perform one of the following Qualifying Activities during the Promotional Period (“Eligible Customer”):
For Prepaid Customers:
- Activate or be on a 7 Day Plan or higher
- Switch to Digicel (Complete a Port-In)
- Purchase an entry at a cost of One Hundred Jamaican Dollars (JMD$100.00) by dialing *142#
- Receive Twenty United States Dollars (USD$20.00) recharge (credit) from abroad
For Postpaid Customers:
- Activate or be on an active Postpaid Plan (i.e. no outstanding balance on your account during the Qualifying Period)
- Purchase an entry at a cost of One Hundred Jamaican Dollars (JMD$100.00) by dialing *142#
For Digicel+ Customers
- Switch to Digicel+
- Sign Up for SmartHome bundle
- Sign up for a Home Fibre Bundle
- Sign up for a Home Fibre Internet Plan
- Sign up for a LTE Home Plan
- Pay your Bill in full and on time
For Youth Customers
- Activate a 7 Day Youth Plan valued at Eight Hundred Dollars ($800.00) via the MyDigicel App.
The following customers are excluded from participating in the Promotion:
- Prepaid and Postpaid Corporate & Business account customers;
- Customers who have elected not to participate in any Digicel promotions;
- Employees/families of employees (Spouse and Children) of Digicel, employees of affiliated companies associated with this Promotion;
- Ambassadors of Digicel;
- Employees who have left Digicel within the three (3) month period preceding the commencement date of the Promotion and during the Promotional Period;
- Postpaid customers with an overdue amount;
- Directors of Digicel during the Promotional Period;
- Customers who have ported their number to another telecommunications network during the Promotional Period;
- Grand prize winners of the following previous Digicel promotions: 40 Million in 40 Days, 61 iPhones for 61 Years, 4 Cars in 4 Weeks, 100 Tablets 100 Skoolaz and Light Up Yuh Home & Win; and
- Customers above the age of twenty-one (21) years old in relation to the prizes for youth customers.

- Will the customer be notified when to enter the Promotion?
Public awareness for this Promotion will be in the form of programmatic advertising, promotional flyer, scanning of the QR code on the promotional flyer, social media posting at the following handles: @digiceljamaica on Instagram and X (formerly Twitter) and Digicel Jamaica on Facebook, and direct SMS messages to the customers during the Promotional Period. The promotional details will also be uploaded to our website at www.digiceljamaica.com.

On the Ground Prizes:
Our customers will also have the opportunity to win additional prizes and giveaways on the ground through road shows, in stores and other on the ground activities.
- How will the winners be selected?
Winners will be randomly selected from an electronic pool of Eligible Customers via Digicel’s Raffle Manager Platform. On the draw dates, a total of fifty (50) numbers will be pulled for the mobile customers, fifty (50) Digicel+ account numbers will be pulled for the Digicel + customers and fifty (50) numbers will be pulled for the youth customers. The numbers will be arranged in a top-bottom sequential order and the Digicel representative will attempt to make contact until a winner has been identified.
- How will winners be notified?
Three (3) calls will be made to the numbers selected by Digicel’s Raffle Manager Platform in a top-bottom sequential order between 12: 00 PM EST and 2:00 PM EST on the draw dates. In respect of Digicel+ winners, calls will be made to the number associated with their account. If there is no response to a number, the next number in-line will be contacted until a winner is successfully identified. All calls to customers will be made from 876-619-5000; this number is the only number that is authorized for the making of calls to winners for this Promotion. During the telephone contact of the selected winners, full details of the winning prize will be communicated along with the process for redeeming their prize.
- What will winners need in order to claim their prize?
In order to claim their prize, the winner will need to provide the below information to the email address provided by the Digicel representative who contacted them from 876-619-5000 within forty-eight (48) hours of initial contact by Digicel:
- Full Name
- Contact Number
- A clear head shot photo
- If over 18 years, valid Government-issued photo identification (Driver’s Licence, Passport, Voter’s ID)
- If under 18 years, Student ID and Birth Certificate
- Commercial banking details for direct deposit, if applicable, along with documentary proof of bank account (for example, bank statement or screenshot of the account details from an electronic platform clearly showing name on the account, branch location and complete account number). If the customer does not have a bank account, they may present a written letter of authorization, witnessed by a Justice of the Peace, for payment to be made to their authorized party. Please note that payments will not be made to a credit union account.
- Winning phone number and Digicel+ account number, as applicable (the number must be registered to the intended winner). If the number is unregistered the customer may proceed to register same within the timeframe specified above.
Grand draw prize winners are also required to attend a handover interview on Smile Jamaica – Television Jamaica in Kingston on Friday, December 29, 2023, to claim their prizes.
Special Needs Winners
If a selected winner has special needs and is unable to collect their prize and/or submit the relevant documents, that winner will be allowed to have a representative act on their behalf. Such representative must provide written consent from the winner selected, witnessed by a Justice of the Peace and valid Government-issued photo identification for both the winner and their representative to claim the prize.
Minor Winners
Winners under the age of eighteen (18) years will have to share the above information for themselves and for their parent or guardian in addition to the minor’s Birth Certificate or proof of guardianship. Parent/guardian is required to accompany minor and provide valid identification.
Forfeiture of Prizes
If a winner is unable to provide the above information and documents within the timeframe stipulated above, the prize will be forfeited. Additionally, grand draw prize winners are specifically required to attend a handover interview on Smile Jamaica – Television Jamaica in Kingston on Friday, December 29, 2023; failing which the prize will be forfeited. If a prize is forfeited, Digicel reserves the right to select another winner in accordance with the mechanism specified herein, subject to consultation and approval from the Betting, Gaming and Lotteries Commission.
Additional Considerations for Prize Redemption
- Non-cash prizes will be available for collection at Digicel’s Headquarters at 14 Ocean Boulevard, Kingston within fourteen (14) days of the winner providing the information above. The winner may attend in person or send an authorized person to collect on their behalf. Such representative must provide written consent from the winner selected, witnessed by a Justice of the Peace, and valid Government-issued photo identification for both the winner and their representative.
- Payment of the cash prize will be made via bank transfer within forty-five (45) days of the winner providing the information above.
- Winners are required to sign a Redemption Form confirming receipt of their prize. If the winner is under the age of eighteen (18), the Redemption Form must be signed by the parent/guardian.
- Prizes may not be transferred or exchanged unless otherwise approved by the Betting, Gaming, and Lotteries Commission.
- Prizes are not exchangeable.
- Save in the event of its gross negligence, neither Digicel, nor any other person or party associated with the Promotion, their associated companies, agents, contractors, and sponsors, or any of its personnel involved in the Promotion, shall be liable whatsoever for any loss or damage incurred or suffered, death or personal injury suffered or sustained, or costs incurred, arising from either participation in the Promotion or from claiming any reward.
Additional Terms and Conditions
- This Promotion is offered for your personal use and not for commercial use.
- We reserve the right to disqualify you or terminate (upon consultation and approval of the Betting, Gaming and Lotteries Commission) this offer if, in our opinion, the Promotion is being abused, such abuse to include but not be limited to selling or attempts to sell the prizes, whether on a commercial basis or otherwise, general abuse deemed as an attempt to undermine the integrity of our services.
- The selected winners must have complied with these Terms and Conditions to enter and be on an active, qualifying contract with no accounts held with Digicel being in arrears to be eligible to win the prizes. Furthermore, by redeeming your prize you accept the manufacturers warranty and terms and conditions.
- If a prize is unavailable, we may, at our discretion, substitute the prize with an alternative prize of equal value and/or specification with the approval of the Betting, Gaming, and Lotteries Commission.
- We reserve the right to, at any time, with or without notice, vary or cancel the terms and conditions of this Promotion upon consultation and approval of the Betting, Gaming, and Lotteries Commission. In the event of us giving notice to you of any such changes to or cancellation of the Promotion, it shall suffice for us to give you notice via messages to your handset/device or to post such notification on the Digicel website or the MyDigicel App. Any such notification shall be effective immediately or as of the date referred to in such notifications.
- By entering this Promotion, you consent to the use of your personal data by Digicel and/or any agent appointed by it to assist with running the Promotion for the purposes of administration of the Promotion (including publishing your full name and country and/or disclosing it to third parties in accordance with applicable law) and any other purposes to which you have consented. By participating in the Promotion, you consent to the use of your name, likeness, image, or photograph for any and all programming and/or publicity or advertising purposes, commercial or otherwise, in all media and formats used by Digicel’s or its agencies, without further compensation, throughout the world in perpetuity. If you refuse to do so, you forfeit your right to claim the prize if you are selected as the winner.
- In addition to these Terms and Conditions, you remain bound by our MyDigicel App (“the App”) Terms and Mobile Terms and Conditions of Use.
