Digicel GT Pass - Terms & Conditions:

The following are the Terms and Conditions governing the use of Digicel GT Pass:-

 

1. What is the Digicel GT Pass?

The Digicel GT Pass is a Digicel mobile prepaid pass that offers big savings, free offers and exclusive experiences to Digicel prepaid customers.

 

2. What are the features of the Digicel GT Passes?

1 year* - Every 30 days account will be refreshed with a fresh set of minutes, SMS and data.

You will also be able to access Savings, Free Offers and Exclusive Experiences as detailed below.

 

3. How can I purchase a Digicel GT Pass and what are the requirements?

Once you are an active prepaid mobile customer with a prepaid account, you are able to purchase any of the GT Passes by dialling *323#, or *120# , or 777 and listening to the recording

 

4. Will the GT Pass auto-renew?

Yes. The GT Pass auto-renews. You will be required to top up to the value of the GT Pass before the  existing GT Pass expires. Once you have the required credit, your existing GT Pass will auto-renew.

If your GT Pass did not auto-renew within the required renewal timeframe, you can repurchase the GT Pass   by dialing *323# or *120#, or 777 and listening to the recording

 

5. What happens if my data bundle for any 30 day period of my GT Pass from the date of activation depletes?

If your 100 MB of Long Term Evolution (“LTE”) data depletes before the end of any 30 day period, your data access will be stopped for the remainder of that 30 day period.

You can, however, purchase a Prime bundle in order to access more data.

 

6. What happens if the minutes from any 30 day period of my GT Pass from the date of activation depletes?

You will be charged at Digicel’s standard prepaid Pay As You Go rates or you will have the option to  purchase another GT Pass or bundle.

Please note the following:

Add-ons are not compatible with the GT Pass as such they would not be available for purchase.

You can, however, purchase a Prime bundle for minutes, SMS and data.

 

7. Will I be able to check my data bundle balance for a particular 30 day period of my GT Pass?

Yes; you can check your data bundle balance for your current 30 day period by dialing *323# and going to the GT pass menu

 

8. Will the data roll over for each 30 day period of my GT Pass from the date of activation?

No.  Unused data will not roll over to the next 30 day period.

 

9. If I have unused minutes in my Voice Bundles, will these unused minutes roll over to the next 30 day period?

No.  Unused minutes will not roll over to the next 30 day period.

 

10. Will I be able to check my balance of minutes in my GT Pass?

You can check your balance of your minute balances by dialing *323# and going to the GT Pass menu

 

11. Can I have a 30 day GT Pass together with a 1 year GT Pass?

No.

You can, however, have a Prime Bundle together with a GT Pass.

 

12. What are Digi to Digi Minutes?

Digi to Digi Minutes are minutes that can be used for calls to Digicel numbers, that is mobile and landlines.

 

13. What are Anywhere Minutes?

Anywhere Minutes are minutes that can be used for calls to local non-Digicel mobiles, local non-Digicel landlines, USA (mobiles and landlines), Canada (mobiles and landlines), UK landlines only, Venezuela (Telefonica Mobile only) and Digicel Caribbean (excluding Antigua & Barbuda, Jamaica, Haiti and Guyana) mobiles.

 

14. Do the Anywhere Minutes apply to Venezuela Mobiles or landlines or both?

The Anywhere Minutes will only apply to Telefonica Mobile in Venezuela.

If calling a different provider in Venezuela, you will be charged at Digicel’s standard prepaid Pay As You Go rates.

 

15. What countries are considered Digicel Caribbean?

The following are Digicel Caribbean territories:

Anguilla

Aruba

Barbados

Bermuda

Bonaire

British Virgin Islands

Cayman Islands

Curacao

Dominica

French Guiana

Grenada

Guadeloupe

Martinique

St. Kitts

St. Lucia

St. Vincent and Grenadines

Turks and Caicos   

 

16. What is the cash back element of the GT Pass?

If you have an active GT Pass, you will receive 3% cash back credit once you make chargeable call, that is calls outside your bundled minutes also known as a “Pay As You Go” call, or purchase a Prime bundle.

For example, if the balance on your account before the chargeable call was $1 and the balance on your account after the call is $0, then your cash back credit received will be 3% of $1, that is 3 cents. 

 

Please note the following:

-  Credit must be deducted from your MAIN account balance in order to receive the cash back credit. In other words, cash back credit will not apply to Bonus Credit or Quick Credit.

-  Cash back credit accumulated will expire when/if your GT Pass expires and it has not been redeemed.

-  Any cash back credit accumulated can be redeemed by dialling *323# and selecting redeem cash back in the GT Pass menu. The option on the menu will be to either purchase a Prime Bundle or enjoy free Digi-Digi calls.

-  Cash back credit can only be accumulated up to a maximum of 6 months.

-  Once you have redeemed your cash back credit, you have 72 hours to use it for the option you selected, i.e, to purchase a Prime Bundle at a discount or enjoy free Digi – Digi calls.

 

FREE OFFERS

1. What are the free offers given with this GT Pass?

Free offers included in the GT Pass are:

-  Bonus data when you top up,

-  Bonus minutes and data

-  Free data to access the Waze navigation app

-  Free data to access the Loop news app

 

2. How do I qualify to receive Bonus Data when I top up?

Once you have activated a Digicel GT Pass and your next top up is $30 or more you will receive a bonus of 1GB Anyuse data at LTE speed.

 

3. Do I need to do any action to redeem the bonus data?

No, once your first top up after you have activated a GT Pass is $30 or more, you will automatically receive the bonus of 1GB Anyuse data.

 

4. How long is the bonus data valid for?

Your bonus data will be valid for 72 hours from the time it is received.

 

5. If I topped up, but had an outstanding quick credit, would I still receive the bonus data?

Yes, the Quick Credit will be repaid and you will still receive the bonus data.

 

6. What is Waze and how does it work?

Waze is a community driven GPS and navigational app that guides you through the shortest route possible while driving. It works on a smartphone and can help you find directions and avoid traffic jams. It provides real-time directions that are adjusted on-the-fly to account for various types of potential obstacles. 

 

7. What is Loop?

Loop is the Caribbean’s most downloaded news app that provides customers with breaking news, sport, entertainment and lifestyle stories that are relevant and current.

 

EXCLUSIVE EXPERIENCES

 

1. What are the exclusive experiences I can receive with my GT Pass?

Exclusive experiences included in the GT Pass are:

-   First access to new promotions and offers from Digicel;

-   Access to guaranteed prizes in My Digicel app shake to win;

-    Invitations to exclusive events

 

2. How would I be made aware of the promotions and offers (“Promotion”) ?

You will receive communication via SMS and My Digicel app.

 

3. How do I win guaranteed prizes when I shake in the My Digicel app?

There are four steps to choosing your prize:

Step 1: Be an Active Digicel Customer. You can win more and bigger prizes when you have activate GT pass:

a) via the My Digicel App;

b) by dialing the short code *323#

c) by dialing the short code *120#

d) by dialing 777

Step 2: Confirm your participation in the Promotion by clicking on the “Shake It” notification and accepting these Terms.

Step 3: Access the My Digicel App, go to the Shake It section and shake your phone.  You will receive a notification indicating that you have won a prize.

Step 4: When you win a prize, you may have a choice of prize from a list of options and separately the ability to gift your prize to another Digicel mobile customer of your choice.  Prizes that cannot be chosen or gifted are automatically applied to your account.  Otherwise, you will have twenty-four (24) hours to select one or more of the following options, depending on the prize won:

a)       Choose – the selected prize or, if available, you can choose one of the other prizes from the list of options.

b)       Gift – if available, you can gift the prize to another Digicel mobile customer by selecting this option and providing the contact details of that person.

If you do not select one of the above options within the twenty-four (24) hour window, we will automatically apply the default prize to your account.

 

4.  What type of exclusive events will I be invited to?

There will be invites to a variety of live and virtual digicel events at Digicel’s discretion.

 

Additional Terms and Conditions

-  This pass is offered for the personal use by approved individuals only and not commercial use or usage by groups of individuals. Any usage at all by an individual that in Digicel’s sole discretion is not an approved individual or is intended for financial gain or profit by you or by groups of individuals will result in the immediate termination of the .

-  Digicel reserves the right to terminate this pass forthwith if in its sole opinion the pass is being abused.

-  Digicel reserves the right to modify or discontinue (permanently or temporarily) this pass being offered to its Customer at its discretion.

-  Digicel reserves the right to at any time, with or without notice, to vary or cancel the terms and conditions of this pass. In the event of Digicel giving notice to customers of any such changes to or cancellation of the terms and conditions of this , it shall suffice for Digicel to give customers notice via messages to customer’s handset/device or to post such notification on Digicel’s website. Any such notification shall be effective immediately or as of the date referred to in such notification.

-  The Prizes offered via the My Digicel App Promotions are for your personal use and not for commercial use and you agree not to sell any rewards redeemed through this Promotion.

-  We reserve the right to disqualify you or terminate this offer if, in our sole opinion, the Promotion via the My Digicel App is being abused, such abuse to include but not be limited to selling or attempts to sell the prizes, whether on a commercial basis or otherwise, general abuse deemed as an attempt to undermine the integrity of our services.

-  You are solely responsible for all associated fees and costs incurred by you for redemption of other prizes and for connectivity and data usage in relation to your use of the App. Be reminded that once roaming, you will not be able to use any data from your local prepaid or select postpaid plans and that if your reward is not an “any use data” award, data usage in any other application except those listed above, will be taken from your main data allowance, your Digicel credit, or billed to your postpaid account.

-  The selected winners must have complied with these Terms and Conditions to enter and be on an active, qualifying contract with no accounts held with Digicel being in arrears to be eligible to win the prizes.

-  We reserve the right to modify, extend or discontinue (permanently or temporarily), this Promotion being offered via the My Digicel App to you at our discretion.

-  If a prize is unavailable, we may, in our discretion, substitute the prize with an alternative prize of equal value and/or specification.

-  Except where the choice is given to trade, prizes are not exchangeable and are not redeemable for cash.

-  We reserve the right to, at any time, with or without notice, vary or cancel the terms and conditions of the Promotion being offered via the My Digicel App. In the event of us giving notice to you of any such changes to or cancellation of the Promotion, it shall suffice for us to give you notice via messages to your handset/device or to post such notification on the Digicel website or the App. Any such notification shall be effective immediately or as of the date referred to in such notifications.

-  Any personal data relating to participants will be used solely for the purposes of this promotion by Digicel and/or by any agent appointed by it to assist with running the promotion on behalf of the Digicel and will not be disclosed to a third party for any other purpose without the individual’s prior consent. By entering this Promotion, you consent to the use of your personal data by Digicel and/or any agent appointed by it to assist with running the promotion for the purposes of administration of the promotion (including publishing your full name and county and/or disclosing it to third parties on request if you are the winner) and any other purposes to which you have consented. -  Winners may share their winnings on their social media platforms and may be required to take part in related publicity, including (without limitation) publication of the name and image of a winner along with their winning entry via Digicel’s website, social media and other press and media channels. No additional payment will be given for this.

-  Except in the event of its negligence, neither Digicel, nor any other person or party associated with the Promotion, their associated companies, agents, contractors and sponsors or any of its personnel involved in the Promotion, shall be liable whatsoever for any loss or damage incurred or suffered, death or personal injury suffered or sustained, or costs incurred, arising from either participation in the Promotion or from claiming any reward.     

-  Customers should be solely responsible for keeping their mobile handset properly secured and for all activations and other activities that occur on or through their mobile handsets. Any request made via the use of the USSD code or the My Digicel App from a mobile handset shall be deemed a legitimate request from the customer to whom the said mobile handset is registered. Digicel shall not be responsible for any losses arising out of the unauthorized use of a customer’s handset.

-   Cash back credit cannot be redeemed for actual cash or any other products and/or services other than what is listed in the response to question 16 above.

-   Subject to the above, the standard Prepaid Terms and Conditions shall apply as well as My Digicel App Terms and Conditions of Use.
