1. What is a MiFi?

A MiFi is a wireless device, particularly a wireless router, which operates as a Wi-Fi hotspot.  A MiFi connects, via the use of a SIM card, to a mobile phone network (using 3G, 4G or LTE) and uses this connection to provide a wireless or Wi-Fi hotspot. A MiFi can provide a Wi-Fi hotspot to various devices capable of establishing internet connections including laptops, tablets, smartphones and video game devices, all of which must be within a specific range of the MiFi.

3.  What can I do if I deplete the LTE/4G data allotment in any of these 30 Day plans?

You can purchase an LTE data Add On by can visiting any Digicel dealer store or contacting our Customer Care.



4. What are the specifications of the MiFi devices?

5.  Is there a security deposit when purchasing the MiFi device?

 No. There is no security deposit. The MiFi devices (“Devices”) are sold separately from the MiFi plans. Please see VAT inclusive prices of our available Devices below:



6.  Can I place the Mi-Fi SIM card in another device?

No. The SIM card in the Mi-Fi device will not work in another device.


7.  How can I activate the Unlimited CPE Dongle/Mifi postpaid plan?

You can visit any Digicel dealer store or contact our Customer Care to sign up for an unlimited CPE Dongle / MI – FI Data plan.


8.  How can I activate the 30-Day 4G 30GB Dongle/Mifi Modem Plan or 30 Day 4G 10GB Prepaid Dongle Data Plan (“Plans”)?

You can visit any Digicel dealer store or contact our Customer Care to activate any of these Plans.


9.  Can I, as a prepaid customer, activate an unlimited plan for my MiFi device?

At this time, there are no unlimited prepaid MiFi plans available. However, a prepaid Dongle/MiFi plan can be converted to postpaid plan.


10. Do I get roll over data with the prepaid Dongle/MiFi plans?

No. There will be no roll over data with the Dongle/Mi Fi plans.


11. Can I return the device if I’m having issues with coverage?


Yes, if you have coverage issues, you can return the device within 7 days of purchase and be refunded within 7 days of the device being returned provided that the device is not damaged or in a state of disrepair and provided that you provide a copy of your proof of purchase. Upon presenting the device to a Digicel store, the device will be checked by a Digicel representative to ensure there is no physical or liquid damage to the device. Once a Digicel representative determines that the device is not damaged, then a refund will be processed and given to you within seven (7) days from the date of return and inspection of the device. 


12. If I am an existing postpaid customer with a dongle or MiFi, can I upgrade to the Unlimited MiFi Plan?

Yes; if you are an existing postpaid Dongle/MiFi customer, you can upgrade to the Unlimited CPE Dongle/MiFi Plan. However, you will only benefit from LTE speeds if you reside in an area with LTE coverage and your device is LTE compatible.


13.  Additional Terms and Conditions 

·         The plans offered here are for the personal use of individuals and not commercial use. Any usage at all by an individual that in Digicel’s sole discretion is intended for financial gain or profit by you will result in the immediate termination of the plan.

·         Digicel reserves the right to terminate any of these plans if in its sole opinion the plans are being abused.

·         Digicel reserves the right to modify or discontinue (permanently or temporarily) these plans being offered to its customer at its discretion.

·         Digicel reserves the right to at any time, with or without the notice, to vary or cancel these terms and conditions or the plans. In the event of Digicel giving notice to customers of any such changes to or cancellation of the terms and conditions or the plans, it shall suffice for Digicel to give customers notice by posting such notification on Digicel’s website. Any such notification shall be effective immediately or as of the date referred to in such notification.

·         Customers shall be solely responsible for keeping the MiFi device properly secured and for all activations and other activities that occur on or through their MiFi device. Digicel shall not be responsible for any losses arising out of the unauthorized use of a customer’s MiFi device.

·         Subject to the above, Digicel’s standard Prepaid Terms and Conditions or Prepaid Terms and Conditions (whichever is applicable) shall apply.
