Pay as You Go Data Removal FAQs

 

 

1a. I got a message stating, “No more charges, no more worries “what is this about?

Our customers will no longer incur data charges from their main balance.

Customers will only be able to use data with an active data plan with an available data balance.

1b. I got a message stating,” this service will no longer be available” which service exactly?

The service where our customers were able to use data without an active data plan while being charged from their main credit account.

1c. I heard/saw comments on social media about “Pay-go” what is this about?

Pay as you go, the use of data without a data plan at a very expensive rate.  Our customers will no longer incur data charges from their main balance.

Customers will only be able to use data with an active data plan with an available data balance.

 

 

 

2. If I want to use pay-go data, will I be able to do so?

No. Customers will only be able to use data with an active data plan with an available data balance.

 

 

 

3. Do I get an option to opt in to use pay-go data if I want to?

No. Customers will only be able to use data with an active data plan with an available data balance.

 

 

 

4. How long does this last, is this a promotion (Expiration)?

No, this is not a promotion and does not have an end date. Customers will no longer be able to use data without an active data plan with an available data balance.

 

 

 

5. Since I have no pay-go option what do I get/what are my options?

Our customers now have the option to select from one of our prime bundles to satisfy their data needs. Using the short code *140# or MyDigicel App.

 

 

 

6. Since I do not have enough credit to purchase a prime bundle what do I do?

Customers who were regular pay go users will be given access to a special 30-day data plan for $3, via the short code *140# and the MyDigicel App.  Customers who were not regular paygo users can topup and activate one of our Digicel Prime bundle plans.

 

 

 

7. Where can I get more information about this?

For more information, customers can call our Customer Care Center by dialing 100 from their Digicel mobile phone.

We are improving our customer experience by stopping unwanted data charges and offering better value through our prime bundles.
