All the Digicel Prepaid customers can use their phones while overseas. Dual-band phones will work in most countries except the USA and Canada. You will need to use tri-band and quad-band phones in these countries. We recommend that you contact Customer Care before you leave Vanuatu, to verify that your phone will work in whatever country you are traveling to, and to receive more detailed information about Digicel’s roaming policy. 

Follow these easy steps:

1.      Make sure your Roaming service is activated on your Digicel SIM. Visit a Digicel store or contact Digicel Customer Care on 123.

2.      Top Up before travelling

3.      Before departure, find the Network Selection setting in your Digicel mobile phone menu and select Automatic.

4.      Upon arrival, turn on your phone and allow it to select Digicel’s roaming partner in the country you are visiting.

In some instances, your phone will not automatically select the Digicel roaming partner in the country you are visiting. In these cases, you will have to manually select the roaming partner. To manually select the roaming partner, scroll through the menu options in your phone until you find the Network Selection option, select Manual, and then select the available Digicel roaming partner.

The process for changing a network selection varies for each phone, so we recommend that you refer to your phone’s manual before you depart.

  • The minutes included in the bundles can be used to call Digicel Vanuatu numbers only during the bundle validity.
  • The SMS included in the bundles can be used to text Digicel Vanuatu numbers only during the bundle validity.
  • The data included in the bundles can be used to access any website or App.
  • The China roaming bundle can only be purchased once in 7 days by the customer. Minutes and SMS can be only used for calling back / texting back Digicel Vanuatu numbers.
  • Roll over doesn't apply to the bundles.
  • Any out of bundle usage will be charged at the current rates.

Terms and conditions

  • Standard prepaid terms and conditions apply. Also Standard roaming rates apply for any usage outside roaming pack/benefits/validity. In addition other relevant conditions are listed as below.
  • This roaming pack is applicable to all Digicel Vanuatu prepaid customers who are on our roaming partners (and not all) networks in Australia or New Zealand.
  • Pack’s minute allowance can be used only for calling Digicel Vanuatu numbers.
  • Pack will be available to prepaid customers via *150# and My Digicel app.
  • Customers have choice to purchase above mentioned roaming pack or any other roaming pack.
  • Customer will receive notifications via SMS when 100% of total pack minutes allowance is exhausted/used up.
  • Roaming pack benefits are valid from the subscription time.(HH.MM)
  • Customer will receive a post subscription notification via SMS and also a post validity /expiry notification via SMS.
  • Roaming Minutes, if unused, does not roll over or carried forward.
  • Roaming pack’s minutes allowance’ (remaining) balance can be checked by dialling *130#.
  • Customers can re-subscribe to roaming pack more than once on same day or during existing pack validity/duration.
