1.     What is the Christmas credit?
The Xmas credit has been setup as a currency bundle. The currency bundle charges calls and SMS and data browsing on the PAYGO or out of bundle rates. The currency bundle uses price plan rate cards to charge for local and international calls and SMS and data browsing. This is how the Xmas credit bundle will work.

2.     What can I use the Christmas credit for?
The “Christmas credit” bundle can be used to make all local on-net and off-net Calls and SMS, as well as calls and SMS to mobiles and landlines in Top 10 countries.

3.     What are the restrictions on the Christmas credit bundle?
The Christmas credit bundle cannot be used to:

  • Buy any bundles, package or plan
  • Make Bill payments
  • Outbound Roaming
  • International calls and SMS to destinations outside the top 10.
  • Texting to premium SMS competitions and other subscriptions.
  • Nontransferable to other Digicel Mobiles


4.     What are the Top 10 Countries?
The Top 10 countries that you can call and SMS using the Xmas credit bundle is Australia, New Zealand, USA, Canada, New Caledonia, China, and mobiles in Digicel Pacific countries, Fiji, Samoa, PNG, Nauru and Tonga.

5.     What is the validity of the Christmas credit bundle?
The Christmas credit bundle is valid for 30 days from the day you top-up your handset.

9.    Do I get any data with my Top up voucher?
Yes, the Christmas credit voucher also comes with data. Vouchers that cost 7900VT will receive 300MB.

10.    What is the validity of the data?
The data is also valid for 30 days like the credit bundle.

11.    What are the OOB or PAYGO rates for my priceplan?

12.    How the process works when customer buys a Christmas Top Up voucher?
A customer will find a unique pin code on the voucher. The Customer can either send in the voucher pin using USSD on *121*VOUCHER PIN# or through the Phone Top up Section on my Digicel APP using their new SIM or the customer’s existing prepaid Digicel SIM.

13.    What happens if my handset is faulty or is damaged?
If the handset is faulty then a customer must return this to the flagship from which they had purchased it within 7 days of purchase with their proof of purchase (i.e. receipt)

14.    What are the handset warranty?

The Alcatel U5 Handset that is bundled with this offer, there is a 12 month warranty period (Free repair and return). 

16.    How many times can a customer send in PIN from Scratch Voucher?
A customer can only text in a code and redeem the bundles for that code once. If they try again with the same code they will receive the below message:
"This voucher has already been redeemed. Please check the PIN number on the voucher and try again"

17.    How does a customer check that the Xmas Top up bundles are attached?
Customer simply dials *130# to check his or her free bundles.

18.    What is the last date to redeem the Xmas Top up bundles?
All Christmas Top up bundles need to be claimed by 31st January, 2018.

 

  • Standard prepaid terms and conditions apply. In addition other relevant conditions are listed as below.
  • “Christmas Top-up” offer is available only at DIGICEL Retail Stores and not online nor via P2P. Customers may walk into our retail stores and purchase the “Christmas Top up Cards” (i.e. Physical voucher priced at 7900 VT)
  • Customers receive an Alcatel U5 3G handset (colour choice as per available stock) in a box with free earphones on purchase of Christmas Top up priced at 7900 VT.
  • On successful recharge (with the PIN on physical voucher) Christmas Top Up on a DIGICEL prepaid Vanuatu SIM ( pre-owned or new), customers will receive 7900 VT as currency bundle that can be used to make calls or SMS to local (Digicel or TVL)  or selected ten countries as mentioned below – at standard rates. 7900 VT currency bundle is valid for 30 days and only for usage while in home network.
  • Currency bundle of 7,900VT applies for local calls (Digicel to Digicel & Digicel to TVL), local texts (Digicel-to-Digicel & Digicel-to-TVL) and International call and SMS to selected 10 countries as mentioned: Australia, New Caledonia, U.S.A./Canada, New Zealand, China, Digicel Fiji, Digicel Samoa, Digicel Nauru, Digicel PNG, Digicel Tonga.
  • In addition, 300 MB data allowance is offered with validity of 30 days while in home network.

  • Customer will receive notifications when 90% and 100% of total data allowance is exhausted/used up.
  • Prepaid customers can top-up the Recharge PIN as coded under scratch area on Christmas Top up card (Physical voucher) via USSD on *121*PIN# and also via My Digicel app.
  • Customers have choice to purchase Christmas Top-up card or any other recharge not under promotional offers.
  • Christmas Top up’s Currency and Data benefits are valid from the subscription time (HH.MM) for next 30 days.
  • Customer will receive a post validity /expiry notification via SMS.
  • Any currency bundle and Data benefit / allowance if unused, does not roll over or carried forward.

Christmas Top up offer is a limited period offer and is valid till Jan 2nd, 2018 or till handset stocks last and may be withdrawn earlier or extended in similar form as per Digicel Vanuatu’s discretion.
