What is the Digicel #ThereWithYou BIP Promotion?
Digicel is offering all active postpaid and prepaid customers messaging on the BIP app at no cost for the Promotional Period.
Customers with an active Eligible Plan will also benefit from inclusive voice and one-to-one video calling on BIP at no extra charge and without depleting their plan data allowance. (The “Promotion”).
What is BIP?
BIP is the new communications app that brings relevant local content, including news and COVID-19 specific updates, messaging, voice, video calling and much more.
It is available for use on any mobile network (not just Digicel) or WiFi and works in the same way as other messenger apps but it offers a wider range of services and content relevant to the countries we live and work in.
Digicel has partnered with BIP to provide exclusive benefits for Digicel mobile customers, such as this promotion.
What is the promotional period for the Promotion?
The Promotion is valid from May 1, 2020 through May 31, 2020. (the “Promotional Period”).
What services are included in the Promotion?
Through the Promotional Period, messages sent by Digicel customers from BIP on their phone to another person on BIP are included in the inclusive promotion. Therefore, Digicel Customers will not consume any data allowance or prepaid credit or incur an overage data charge.
For Digicel customers with an active Eligible Plan, through the Promotional Period, voice and video calls made from BIP on their phone to one other person on BIP are included in the inclusive promotion. Therefore, such Digicel customers will not consume any data allowance or prepaid credit or incur an overage data charge.
A Fair Usage Policy applies to protect Digicel and the experience for other customers from excessive use.
What services are not included in the Promotion?
BIP provides many more features than just messaging, voice and video calling. However, except as stated above, other features and services are not included in the inclusive promotion. Services not included will consume any data allowance or prepaid credit or incur an overage data charge at your then current rate – including:
· Group (more than one-to-one) video calling
· Discover services and News Feed
· Analytics tool
Will I be notified before using a service not included in the Promotion?
Yes. You will be notified by a message prompt within the BIP app about any service that is not included in the Promotion before you use it and so will only incur additional charges or data use if you chose to proceed at that time.
How do I participate in the Promotion?
In order to participate in the Promotion, Digicel customers simply need to download and install BIP (see ‘How do I get BIP’ below). The services, as described above, will be zero-rated by Digicel automatically through the Promotional Period.
