The staff of Digicel, Newcom, its advertising & PR agencies, Dealers, Distributors and sub-distributors and their immediate families (brother, sister, father, mother, daughter, son) are not eligible to enter.

 

What is the Digicel’s “The Great Escape” Text Competition?

  • The Digicel’s “The Great Escape” Text Competition gives all Digicel customers a chance to win great prizes by registering and participating in the competition.

 

Who is eligible to enter this promotion?

  • All Digicel customers, including postpaid, prepaid, dual and hybrid customers are qualified to participate in the promotion.

 

What is the promotional period?

  • The promotion begins at 12am on Friday February 1, 2019 to 11:59pm on Thursday, February 28, 2019.

 

How do I enter the promotion?

  • You may enter by texting the word FLY to 6789, you will be entered in the Digicel’s “Great Escape” Text Competition. There is a $1 charge to enter for the competition. You will then receive a text message advising of the random token you were awarded, its associated points and overall points/rank in the competition.

How does the Promotion Work?

  • All Digicel Customers are able to play for a chance to win a Grand Prize in the Digicel’s The Great Escape.
  • Customers will be able to send ‘FLY’ from their mobile phone to 6789 at a cost of $1. Once “FLY” is sent, and charges apply, customers will receive a text with a token and their rank.
  • Participants can send “FLY” as many times as they wish with one single objective; to collect the most tokens and collect the most points to earn highest rank in order to win the major prizes.

What tokens are sent at each request and what amounts of points is assigned to each?

  • Destination tokens and their corresponding points are shown in the table below. Destination tokens will be randomly sent to each participant’s phone

Am I able increase my points and rank in the competition?

  • Yes.
  • By texting “FLY” to 6789, you will be able to get more tokens to increase your points and rank in the competition. Each text to 6789 will be at the cost of $1.
  • Upon texting “FLY” to 6789, you will receive a message similar to the following:

You escaped to {token} and gained {value} points. Your total is {balance} points and ranked {rank}. Visit the most destinations & be #1 to WIN. Text FLY to 6789!

 

Am I able to increase my points in the Competition?

  • Yes.
  • Digicel has ‘Double/Triple Entry’ days where Digicel gives double/triple the number of points assigned for tokens received, giving customers increased chance of winning.

 

What is a ‘Double/Triple Entry’ day?

  • Digicel selects a random day in which each tokens assigned points are doubled/tripled for that day.
  • This gives customers an increased chance of winning.

 

How will I be notified of a ‘Double/Triple Entry’ day?

  • Customers will receive a text similar to the one below the below;

"Today ONLY Digicel will give Double the points for every token! Simply text FLY to 6789 to increase your chances to win great FLY prizes. Costs $1"

 

How are the prizes selected?

  • The customer who has the highest rank will be the winner.
  • The Grand Prize is awarded on Monday March 4, 2019 to the customer with the top rank for the duration of the promotion (February 1, 2019 to February 28, 2019)

 

Is there a cut off time for Grand Prize entries to be received?

  • Yes. All entries must be received by 11:59:59 pm on Thursday February 28, 2019.

 

How often am I allowed to enter?

  • You are allowed to enter as often as you wish.

 

How will I know if I have won?

  • If your entry was selected you will be contacted via phone by a representative from Digicel.

 

What if I was called, but I missed the call?

  • In order to win the prize you are required speak with the Digicel representative.
  • If the call is unanswered then the attempt has failed. A failed attempt includes calls that are unanswered, calls that go to the voicemail or if the phone is turned off.
  • Five (5) attempts, within an hour, will be made to contact each customer that is chosen.
  • If all five (5) attempts fail, then another potential winner is selected.

 

If I was contacted and won where do I collect the prize?

  • You will be required to collect your prize at the Digicel office located in St. Vincent.

 

If I was contacted and have won, how long do I have to collect my prize?

  • You are required to collect your prize within 30 days of being contacted.

 

What do I need in order to claim the prize?

You are required to take with you the following items:

  • A government issued photo ID (passport, driver’s license or national voter’s ID)
  • The phone with the SIM card for the winning number that was used to enter.

 

Am I allowed to enter if I am under 18 years of age?

  • Yes. Persons under 18 years are allowed to enter.

 

What do I do if I have won and I am under 18 years old?

  • Juveniles (under 18) winning must be accompanied by parents/guardians in order to claim prizes. All winners must present the winning phone number called as well as a valid national government ID, in order to claim their prizes. Parents/guardians should present a valid national government ID as well as the child.
