The following are the terms and conditions governing the Free Whatsapp messaging promotion:
1. What is the promotion about?
All new prepaid SIM activations during the period 3rd April, 2019 to 11:59 p.m. on 31st May, 2019 (“Promotional Period”) will be eligible for Free WhatsApp Messaging for 30 days from the date of redemption once the SIM is topped up with TT$20 or more.
2. How can I redeem the 30 Day Free WhatsApp Messaging plan?
· If you are a customer who purchases a prepaid SIM card during the Promotional Period and you top up with $20 or more (VAT exclusive), you can activate the Unlimited 30 Day WhatsApp messaging plan at no cost by dialing *323# or by using the My Digicel App.
· You must redeem this plan within 7 days of activation of the Prepaid SIM card in order to avail of the offer.
3. Will the 30 Day Free WhatsApp messaging plan auto renew when it expires?
4. Will the 30 Day Free WhatsApp messaging include voice or video calls?
· No. The free WhatsApp messaging plan includes sending and receiving of text, pictures, video clips, files, audio clips, music files but does not extend to VOIP calls or Video Chats.
5. Can I renew the 1 Day Unlimited WhatsApp messaging plan at $12 (VAT exclusive) after it expires?
· Yes, you can renew the 1 Day Unlimited Whatsapp messaging plan at a price of $12 VAT exclusive
· To renew this plan, you can dial *323# or use the My Digicel App
· This plan can only be renewed during the Promotional Period.
6. Will customers be given any notification when any of the plans offered under this Promotion are about to expire?
· Yes. You will receive a text message 24 hours prior to the plan expiring.
7. Can existing customers purchase a NEW SIM card to benefit from the offer in this Promotion?
· Any prepaid SIM card that is activated during the Promotional Period will benefit from the plans offered under this Promotion.
· You must redeem the 30 Day Free WhatsApp messaging plan within 7 days of activation of the Prepaid SIM card in order to avail of that offer.
8. Additional Terms and Conditions
- The plans offered under this promotion are for the personal use of individuals and not commercial use or usage by groups of individuals. Any usage at all by an individual that in Digicel’s sole discretion is intended for financial gain or profit by you or by groups of individuals will result in the immediate termination of the particular plan.
- Digicel reserves the right to terminate any of the plans offered under this promotion if in its sole opinion the plans are being abused.
- Digicel reserves the right to modify or discontinue (permanently or temporarily) these plans being offered to its customer at its discretion.
- Digicel reserves the right to at any time, with or without the notice, to vary or cancel the terms and conditions of this promotion or the plans. In the event of Digicel giving notice to customers of any such changes to or cancellation of this promotion and/or the plans, it shall suffice for Digicel to give customers notice via messages to customer’s handset/device or to post such notification on Digicel’s website. Any such notification shall be effective immediately or as of the date referred to in such notification.
- Customers should be solely responsible for keeping their mobile handset properly secured and for all activations and other activities that occur on or through their mobile handsets. Any request made via the use of the USSD code from a mobile handset shall be deemed a legitimate request from the customer to whom the said mobile handset is registered. Digicel shall not be responsible for any losses arising out of the unauthorized use of a customer’s handset.
- Subject to the above, Digicel’s standard Prepaid terms and conditions shall apply.
