Unlimited Talk Promotion Terms and Conditions

 

The following are the Terms and Conditions governing this Promotion:-

 

1.     What is the Unlimited Talk Promotion about?

 

·         This promotion allows you to receive a cheaper rate for prepaid voice calls.  From Friday, 22nd  March, 2019 to Sunday, 21st April, 2019 (“Promotion Period”) you will get one flat rate per call. The flat rate for calls will be according to the destination.

 

2.     Who is this promotion applicable to?

 

·         This promotion is applicable to prepaid Pay As You Go customers only. If you are on a Quick Pick Bundle and your bundle expires, you will be automatically included in this Unlimited Talk Promotion.

 

3.     Do I have to opt in to this Unlimited Talk Promotion?

 

·         No; opt in is not required for this Unlimited Talk Promotion.

 

4.     What are the rates that apply to this Promotion?

 

·         For the duration of the Promotion Period, you will benefit from the rates below:-

 

$1.00 (VAT Ex.) per call, for calls to Digicel mobiles and landlines.

$2.00 (VAT Ex.) per call, for calls to other local networks (mobiles and landlines).

$3.00 (VAT Ex.) per call for calls to USA, CANADA & India mobile and landline, UK landline only and Digicel non-local numbers* (mobile and landline).

$3.00 (VAT Ex.) per call for calls to Rest of the World** (mobile & landline - including any network in Jamaica, Haiti & Guyana).  

$10.00 (VAT Ex.) per call to Cuba, Antarctica etc. *** (mobile & landline).

50 cents (VAT Ex.) per SMS to Local and International numbers.

 

N.B. If you have less than $1 credit available, you will be charged the Pay As You Go rate of $1.15 per minute to make a call which will be pro-rated for the duration of your call.

      *Digicel non-local numbers mean calls to Digicel numbers in Anguilla, Antigua and Barbuda,       Aruba, Barbados, Bermuda, Bonaire, British Virgin Islands, Cayman, Curacao, Dominica, El Salvador, French Guiana, Grenada, Guadeloupe, Martinique, Panama, St. Kitts, St. Lucia,             St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Suriname, Turks and Caicos.

 

** Rest of the World includes calls to countries other than Digicel local mobile and landline, calls to other Local networks (mobile and landline) and calls to US, Canada & India (mobile & landline), UK landline only and calls to Digicel non-local numbers * (mobile & landline)).

 

      ***This category means mobile and landline calls to Antarctica, Ascension, Cook Islands,     Cuba, Falkland Islands, Guinea Bissau, Honduras, Saint Helena Sao Tome & Principe, Solomon Islands and Vanuatu.

 

 

5.     What are the “Rest of the World” countries in this Unlimited Talk Promotion?

 

  • The “Rest of the World” countries are classified as any country that is not included as a calling destination for “Anywhere Minutes”. Destinations for Anywhere Minutes include the following:-
  • All Local (mobile & landline) numbers
  • US mobile & landline numbers
  • Canada mobile & landline numbers
  • UK landline numbers only
  • Digicel non-local numbers* (see notes to table above for list of countries included here)

 

6.     If I have a Quick Pick Bundle and my Anywhere Minutes Bundle is depleted, will I benefit from this Unlimited Talk Promotion?

 

·         Yes; once your Anywhere Minutes Bundle is depleted, you will benefit from this Unlimited Talk Promotion during the Promotion Period.

 

7.     What will happen if I call a Digicel number that is roaming during the Promotion Period?

 

·         The Unlimited Talk Promotion would still apply if that call is made from Trinidad and Tobago during the Promotion Period.

 

8.     What will happen if I call a local number (mobile and/or landline) in Trinidad and Tobago while I am roaming during the Promotion Period?

 

·         The Unlimited Talk Promotion will not apply if you call a local number (mobile and/or landline) in Trinidad and Tobago while you are roaming.

 

9.      Under this Promotion will I be charged if I call a local mobile number and I get voicemail?

 

·         Yes; once your call is successfully connected, you will be charged for the cost of the call.

 

10. How am I charged when I make a three-way or conference call?

 

·         You will be charged in accordance with the promotion details for every number that is added to your conference call.

 

11. Are any voice and/or video Apps, such as WhatsApp and Skype applicable to this Unlimited Talk Promotion?

 

·         No; there are no voice and/or video Apps applicable to this Unlimited Talk Promotion.

 

12. If I am making a WhatsApp call, will I be charged for Pay As You Go data as well as the cost of the call?

 

·         If you have a Quick Pick Bundle active, you will be charged from your data bundle. Once this bundle has been depleted and you make a WhatsApp call, you will only be charged for data usage at the Pay As You Go Rate of $1.90 VAT Ex. per MB.

 

13. Is there a fair usage policy associated with this Unlimited Talk Promotion?

 

·         Yes; the fair usage policy is 4 hours per call for this Unlimited Talk Promotion.

 

14. Is Pay As You Go (PAYGO) data blocked with the Unlimited Talk Promotion?

 

·         No; PAYGO data is not blocked with this Unlimited Talk Promotion.

 

15.If I make a WhatsApp call on WiFi, will I be charged?

 

·         No; if you make a WhatsApp call on WiFi, you will not be charged.

 

16.If I have Bonus Credit, where will my credit be charged from first, these bundled credits or my main account credit from the Unlimited Talk Promotion?

 

·         If you have Bonus Credit, you will be charged from these bundled credits first. After they are depleted, you will be charged based on this Unlimited Talk Promotion.

 

17.Will I be charged for my SMS from this Unlimited Talk Promotion if I have the unlimited SMS on a Quick Pick Bundle?

 

·         No; you will not. If you are on a Quick Pick Bundle, you will receive unlimited SMS with your bundle. This promotion applies to Pay As You Go users only.

 

18.If I have a Quick Pick Bundle active with Anywhere Minutes, how will I be charged when I make a local call with this Unlimited Talk Promotion?

 

·         If you have a Quick Pick Bundle active with Anywhere Minutes, you will be charged from that bundle. If your bundle expires, then you will be charged in accordance with this Unlimited Talk Promotion.

 

19.Will my current credit be affected when I opt out of the Promotion?

 

·         No; your current credit will be unaffected when you opt of the Unlimited Talk Promotion. There is no charge for opting out of this Promotion.

 

20.If I have insufficient funds to make a Digicel to Digicel call will I be able to make the call?

·         Yes, you will. If you have less than $1 credit available, you will be charged the Pay As you Go rate of $1.15 VAT Ex. per minute to make a call which will be pro-rated for the duration of your call.

 

21.Can I opt out of this Unlimited Talk Promotion?

 

·         Yes; you can opt out of the Unlimited Talk Promotion by dialing *Unlimited Talk#. Once you opt out, you will be placed on the existing Pay As You Go rates.

 

22.How can I opt out of this Unlimited Talk Promotion?

 

  • You can opt out via one of the following methods:-
  • Dial *Unlimited Talk#;
  • Dial *323#; or
  • Use MyDigicel App

 

23.Can I opt back in to the Unlimited Talk Promotion?

 

·         Yes; you will be able to opt back in during the Promotion Period.

 

24.Is there an info code for this promotion?

 

·         Yes, there is. You can text 428 to 247 to get more information on this promotion.

 

25.Additional Terms and Conditions

  • The Unlimited Talk Promotion is offered for the personal use of individuals and not commercial use or usage by groups of individuals. Any usage at all by an individual that in Digicel’s sole discretion is intended for financial gain or profit by you or by groups of individuals will result in the immediate termination of this promotion.

 

  • Digicel reserves the right to terminate your use of the Unlimited Talk Promotion forthwith without notice if in its sole opinion the promotion is being abused by you.

 

  • Digicel reserves the right to modify or discontinue (permanently or temporarily) the Unlimited Talk Promotion being offered to its customer at its discretion.

 

  • Digicel reserves the right to at any time, with or without the notice, to vary or cancel the terms and conditions of its Unlimited Talk Promotion. In the event of Digicel giving notice to customers of any such changes to or cancellation of the Unlimited Talk  Promotion, it shall suffice for Digicel to give customers notice via messages to customer’s handset/device or to post such notification on Digicel’s website. Any such notification shall be effective immediately or as of the date referred to in such notification.

 

  • Customers shall be solely responsible for keeping their mobile handset properly secured and for all activations and other activities that occur on or through their mobile handsets. Any request made via the use of a USSD code from a mobile handset shall be deemed a legitimate request from the customer to whom the said mobile handset is registered. Digicel shall not be responsible for any losses arising out of the unauthorized use of a customer’s handset.

 

  • Subject to the above, the standard Prepaid Terms and Conditions and Digicel’s Fair Usage Policy shall apply.
