The following are the Terms and Conditions governing the use of this plan:

 

1.   What is the Prepaid Student Semester Pass plan?

  • The tertiary Prepaid Student Semester Pass plan (“Plan”) is a Digicel mobile prepaid plan that can be purchased by customers who are local tertiary school students.  The Plan is for a period of four (4) months at a cost of $700.00 (VAT inclusive).

2.   What are the features of the tertiary Student Semester Pass plan?

Data

15 GB LTE  every 30 days

Rollover data 

Unused LTE data from each 30 day period after activation of the Plan will roll over to the next 30 day period until the Plan expires


3.   How can I purchase the Tertiary Student Semester Pass plan and are there any requirement for purchasing this plan?

  • Once you are a tertiary school student, you can purchase the Tertiary Student Semester Pass plan at any Digicel Retail Store or from authorised Digicel sales representatives at certain promotional events held by Digicel.  
  • In order to purchase this Plan, you will be required to sign up as a Digicel mobile prepaid customer and you must provide your current tertiary school pass or your acceptance letter from the tertiary school.  
  • You will be given the SIM card free of charge upon purchase of this Plan.

4.   Will this Plan auto-renew?

  • Yes. This Plan auto-renews every four months. You will be required to top up to the value of the Plan before the expiry of the existing Plan.  Once you have the required credit, the Plan will auto-renew.
  • If your Plan did not auto-renew within the required renewal timeframe, you can repurchase this Plan by dialing *323#

5.   What happens if my data bundle for any 30 day period from the date of activation of this Plan depletes?

  • If your 15 GB of Long Term Evolution (“LTE”) data depletes before the end of any 30 day period from the date of activation of this Plan, your data will be throttled from LTE speeds to 2G speeds for the remainder of that 30 day period.

6.   What happens if the minutes or data from any 30 day period from the date of activation of this Plan depletes?

  • You will be charged at Digicel’s standard prepaid Pay As You Go rates or you can purchase any of the below Add-Ons by dialing *323# or visiting the My Digicel App:

Please note the following:

  • You can purchase a data Add On after your data bundle depletes.
  • Your Add-On will expire on the day your current 30 day bundle expires.

7.   Will I be able to check my data bundle balance for a particular 30 day period?

  • Yes; you can check your data bundle balance for your current 30 day period by dialing *120*4#

8.   Will the data roll over for each 30 day period from the date of activation of this plan?

  • Yes.  Any unused data from your 15 GB of LTE data for each 30 day period after activation of the Plan will roll over to the next 30 day period until the Plan expires.

9.   If I have unused minutes in my Off Net Voice Bundle, will these unused minutes roll over to the next 30 day period?

  •   No.  Unused minutes from your Off Net Voice Bundle will not roll over to the next 30 day period.

10.      Can the 100 minutes in the Off Net Voice Bundle be used for calls to non-Digicel local landlines?

  • Yes. The 100 minutes in your Off Net Voice Bundle can be used for calls to non-Digicel local landlines. These minutes can also be used for calls to non-Digicel local mobile numbers and local toll free numbers.

11.      Will I be able to check my balance of minutes in my Off Net Voice Bundle?

  • Yes.  You can check your balance of minutes in your Off Net Voice Bundle by dialing *120*1#

12.      What happens if I deplete my minutes in my Off Net Voice Bundle?

  • If you deplete your minutes in your Off Net Voice Bundle, you will be charged at Digicel’s standard  prepaid Pay As You Go rates or you can dial *323# to purchase a 100 Anywhere Minutes Add-On at a cost of $50 (VAT exclusive).

13.      What are Anywhere Minutes?

  • Anywhere Minutes are minutes that can be used for calls to local non-Digicel mobiles, local non-Digicel landlines, USA (mobiles and landlines), Canada (mobiles and landlines), UK landlines only, Venezuela (Telefonica Mobile only) and Digicel Caribbean (excluding Jamaica, Haiti and Guyana) mobiles.

14.      Do the Anywhere Minutes apply to Venezuela Mobiles or landlines or both?

  • The Anywhere Minutes will only apply to Telefonica Mobile in Venezuela.
  • If calling a different provider in Venezuela, you will be charged at Digicel’s standard prepaid Pay As You Go rates.

15.      What countries are considered Digicel Caribbean?

The following are Digicel Caribbean territories:

  • Anguilla
  • Antigua and Barbuda
  • Aruba
  • Barbados
  • Bermuda
  • Bonaire
  • British Virgin Islands
  • Cayman Islands
  • Curacao
  • Dominica
  • French Guiana
  • Grenada
  • Guadeloupe
  • Martinique
  • St. Kitts
  • St. Lucia
  • St. Vincent and Grenadines
  • Turks and Caicos   

16.      Additional Terms and Conditions

  • This Plan is offered for the personal use by approved individuals only and not commercial use or usage by groups of individuals. Any usage at all by an individual that in Digicel’s sole discretion is not an approved individual or is intended for financial gain or profit by you or by groups of individuals will result in the immediate termination of the Plan.
  • Digicel reserves the right to terminate this Plan forthwith if in its sole opinion the Plan is being abused.
  • Digicel reserves the right to modify or discontinue (permanently or temporarily) this Plan being offered to its Customer at its discretion.
  • Digicel reserves the right to at any time, with or without notice, to vary or cancel the terms and conditions of this Plan. In the event of Digicel giving notice to customers of any such changes to or cancellation of the terms and conditions of this Plan, it shall suffice for Digicel to give customers notice via messages to customer’s handset/device or to post such notification on Digicel’s website. Any such notification shall be effective immediately or as of the date referred to in such notification.
  • Customers should be solely responsible for keeping their mobile handset properly secured and for all activations and other activities that occur on or through their mobile handsets. Any request made via the use of the USSD code or the My Digicel App from a mobile handset shall be deemed a legitimate request from the customer to whom the said mobile handset is registered. Digicel shall not be responsible for any losses arising out of the unauthorized use of a customer’s handset.
  • Subject to the above, the standard Prepaid Terms and Conditions shall apply.
