The following are the terms and conditions for use of the Modern Fibre plan and Add Ons.

 

1.    What is the Modern Fibre plan?

Modern Fibre is a new plan that gives a customer access to broadband internet as well as a complimentary Set Top Box with local and international free to air television channels at no extra charge.

2.    What are the different Broadband speeds available with Modern Fibre?

Modern Fibre is available with four different variations of speed:

3.    Are there any TV channels with the free Set Top Box?

Yes, there are 26 free channels available with the Set Top Box. These channels are:

The availability of these channels cannot be guaranteed by Digicel as they are subject to regulatory permissions.

 

4.    If this is a standalone broadband plan, why the FREE STB?

Although this plan is indeed a standalone plan, the first STB is given complimentary at the time of install and requires no additional install or monthly fees. There is no obligation to use the STB and there will be no charges if it is not in use or if it is used only with the basic channels installed.

5.    I want the Modern Fibre plan, but I do not want the Set Top Box. How much will I pay for Broadband only?

You will be provisioned for Modern Fibre at your requested speed and will pay the corresponding price as advertised. However, you will not receive the complimentary Set Top Box.

6.    I do not have a TV. Can I still get Modern Fibre?

Yes, you can. You will be provisioned for Modern Fibre at your requested speed and will pay the corresponding price as advertised. However, you will not receive the complimentary Set Top Box.

7.    Can I get more than one Set Top Box with a Modern Fibre plan?

Yes, you can get more than one Set Top Box installed with your Modern Fibre plan. However, only one Set Top Box is complimentary. You will pay a monthly fee of $29.00 for each additional Set Top Box.

8.    If I want another STB after I am installed, how much will that cost?

If you require another Set Top Box after your installation, it will cost you $300.00 to have our technicians come back to your home to install. You will pay a monthly fee of $29.00 for each additional Set Top Box.

9.    What are the available Add Ons for the Modern Fibre plans?

The below TV add ons are available with our Modern Fibre Plans:

10. If I add one of these Add Ons, how long am I required to keep it?

If you take any TV add on, you are required to keep it for at least 30 days before removing it.

11.  Is there any limit to the number of Add Ons that I can have added to my Modern Fibre plan?

No, you are not limited, you can add as many as you like.

12.  Are the Modern Add Ons available to non-Modern Fibre customers?

No, at this this time, the Modern Fibre Add-Ons are only available to Modern Fibre customers

13.  How do I take a TV add-on?

You can add a TV add-on by calling our call centre at 866- 7529 or 500 from your Digicel mobile and speaking to one of our agents . Please note that you must verify your account by answering the security question that was provided at sign up.

14. How do I remove a TV add-on?

You can remove a TV add-on by calling our call centre at 866- 7529 or 500 from your Digicel mobile and speaking to one of our agents.

15. I am currently on a bundled plan; can I move to Modern Fibre?

Yes, you can migrate from a bundled plan to a Modern Fibre plan. Please note that you must not have any outstanding balances at the time of the request.

16.  Can I move from Modern Fibre to a Bundle plan?

Yes, you can move from Modern Fibre to a bundle plan. Please note that you must not have any outstanding balances at the time of the request.

17. Additional Terms and Conditions

The Modern Fibre Plan is offered for the personal use of individuals and not commercial use or usage by groups of individuals. Any usage at all by an individual that in Digicel’s sole discretion is intended for financial gain or profit by you or by groups of individuals will result in the immediate termination of this Plan without any notice to you.

Customers shall be solely responsible for keeping their account information properly secured. Customers shall be solely responsible for all activations and account changes that occur where the account information is used for verification purposes. Digicel shall not be responsible for any losses arising out of the unauthorized use of a customer’s account information.

Subject to the above, the Digicel Home & Entertainment Terms and Conditions and Fair Usage Policy shall apply.
