DIGICEL PRESENTS ROAMING PLANS FOR EVERY BUDGET
THURSDAY, AUGUST 20 2015 – PORT-OF-SPAIN, TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO: The high cost associated with roaming has often been a complaint of travelers whether traveling for business or pleasure. Understanding the importance of persons staying in touch, Digicel is reintroducing its roaming plans to the public.
With Digicel’s ‘One Rate’ roaming plan, Digicel customers travelling to the USA, Canada, UK, Digi-Roam territories and the Netherlands, will pay lower usage rates for voice and data under the ‘One Rate’ roaming through specified networks for calls, text messages and data. Digicel’s ‘Roaming Passport’ offers free calls to home, free incoming calls, free data and free SMS messaging for over a seven day period while roaming in Digi-Roam territories.
Everyone wants to know that their connection and data is not only safe and reliable but also cost effective. This was the telecommunications network’s main focus and has since then been receiving both individual and corporate rave reviews.
Synergy TV’s General Manager O'Brian Haynes was one of the many to experience this, "When roaming in the Caribbean, Digicel makes it so that I feel like I'm at home, all my calls, texts, and even data...works like I'm home in Trinidad and it doesn't cost me a bag of money...I just purchase my Caribbean ‘Roaming Passport’ before I leave Trinidad and I can run my phone the same way I run it when I'm at home in Trinidad.”
Albert Telesford, Information Communication Technology Officer, National Energy also added, “For National Energy, Digicel’s ‘One rate’ Roaming package meant immediate savings. We were now able to enjoy affordable rates for data and most importantly free incoming calls. With Digicel there were no surprise roaming charges, after our employees returned to Trinidad.”
