SYLPHIL HOME TOBAGO RECEIVES
“BACK TO SCHOOL” LOVE
THURSDAY SEPTEMBER 10 2015: PORT OF SPAIN, TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO - The children of the Sylphil Home of Love in Tobago were ecstatic to return to school with their new supplies provided by Digicel Trinidad and Tobago Limited. The telecommunications company donated both school and lunch bags to the appreciative students. The sum of $7,000 was also donated to purchase school uniforms as well as shoes for the pupils.
Also partnering with Digicel was The Rotaract Club of Tobago which, this year, sponsored the purchase of the Stationery for the 15 children at the Home with their donation of $2,000.00.
Digicel Marketing Executive, Nichia Cumberbatch and Project Officer of Digicel Foundation,Cindyann Currency – visited the Home located in Lambeau Tobago, to interact with the children and present the cheque. Rotaract’sCommunity Service Director, TerronNoray and Vice President Akinlabi Holder also visited the Sylphil Home of Love to present their contribution.
Matron of the Home, Mrs. Susan Phillips-Jack expressed her gratitude for the assistance and the continued support from the Digicel Family and thanked the Rotaract Club for partnering this year. The Sylphil Home of Love was founded in 1955 by Dorset Phillips and his wife Sylvia. Mr. Phillips was also on hand to witness the handovers.
