Another successful year with Tonga’s Got Talent competition in the Kingdom of Tonga on Tuesday 25th June at the Digicel Sqaure.
Digicel has been a partner with the Tonga’s Got Talent for the past 9 years and have created a platform for youth in Tonga to showcase their talents including, fire dancing, hip hop, singing, lip sync and many more.
Digicel confirmed its continued support for this event with $1,000 cash for the winner of the competition and with branded merchandise as giveaways on the night.
There were 28 contestants and the event was broadcast live powered by Digicel for families, relatives and friends overseas to be able to view each performance with a result of 16,600 viewers from across Tonga and abroad.
Tonga’s Got Talent is also the opening event for the Miss Heilala Pageant week every year and has been attracting more than hundreds of people in Tonga to the Digicel Square.
The competition was in kids and adult categories and the top three(3) in each category with cash prizes: Kids – 3rd place – Triple Matt with $300, 2nd place – Amelia Enoka with $500, 1st place – Mele Tovi with $1000 and in the adult category, 3rd place: Melaia Niuafu-$300, 2nd place: Tolifili Hafoka-$500 and in 1st place: Malia Leaaetoa-$1000.
