Digicel is offering its prepaid customers the opportunity to participate in the “Shake to Win Promotion” subject to these terms and conditions. The Promotion allows you to WIN prizes by shaking your phone via the Shake It gaming mechanism in the My Digicel App. Each participating customer will have an opportunity to win prizes daily.

The promotion is valid from Friday, November 22nd, 2019 12:00AM 



In order to be eligible for the Promotion, you must be a Digicel customer with and activate the Digicel prepaid shake it plan via the My Digicel APP.

The following customers are excluded from participating in the Promotion:

a.   Postpaid Customers;

b.   Employees/families of employees, employees of affiliates companies associated with this promotion.

Please see below list of plans that are eligible for the Promotion (the “Eligible Plans”):

·         Shake it plan  Free

i.  To participate in the Promotion you will need to have activated shake it plan via MY Digicel APP.


 ii. Customers will then receive a Shake It notification inviting them to participate in the Promotion.


iii. By clicking on the Shake It notification and accepting the terms and conditions of same, the customer has confirmed their participation in the Promotion.


iv. Once an Eligible Customer agrees to participate in the promotion, they can then Shake To Win!


v. Please note the Shake It action must be completed in the My Digicel App.


vi. The Promotion is a “Guaranteed Win” each day (subject to the applicable Promotion terms and conditions as outlined below).


Guaranteed Win: Every day, Customers who enrolled in the promotion will receive an SMS push and/or an In-App notification to play Shake It for an opportunity to win. This message is triggered when the Shake it plan auto renews.


vii. This Promotion will be available to Eligible Customers while roaming, but any prizes won will only be available to use and redeem in the PNG market.

  • Yes.  Every Day during the Promotional Period, customers will receive notification about the Guaranteed Win Shake being available.


  • Whenever a Customer first activates the shake it Plan, they will also receive an SMS notification that they are eligible for an opportunity to Shake and Win on any and every day.

The maximum number of wins per Customer is one (1) per day.

Instant Win Prizes redemption process and use:

a.     Voice, data and content rewards will be allocated immediately to Eligible Customers who have won these rewards.


b.     These will be available to use from allocation (within any specified usage period) and will expire as per the bundle’s validity period.


c.      Unused instant win prizes allocated will expire and there will be no carry over or refund, except for data bundles (as per existing rules regarding data bundle rollover).


d.     Instant Win prizes cannot be transferred to other customers, except for data bundles (as per existing rules regarding data bundle transfer).


e.     Any usage that falls outside the specified usage period or after the bundle is depleted, will be billed at the customer’s applicable price plan rates.



For Instant Win Prizes:

Customers will be notified via SMS and In App notification for Instant Win Prizes. See below sample confirmation text message.

Sample: “Your FREE <prize> is now active. You have received <XX>MB valid for XX days. Check your prize validity on MDA any time here:”

These My Digicel “Shake to Win Christmas Promotion” (the “Promotion”) Frequently asked Questions (“FAQ”) and Terms and Conditions (the “Terms”) apply to you and govern your participation in the Promotion for an opportunity to win certain prizes on the My Digicel mobile application (the “App”). You should read these FAQs and Terms carefully before participating in the Promotion.

“We” or “us” means Digicel (PNG) Limited, a company registered under the laws of Papua New Guinea with its registered address; P O Box 1618, Port Moresby, National Capital District and its registered office at Kennedy Road, Gordons, National Capital District  References to “we”, “our” and “us” in these Terms also includes our subsidiaries and affiliates (“Affiliates”) from time to time.

“I” or “You” means the person accessing or using the App to participate in the Promotion (and “my” and “your” shall have the same meaning).

“App” or “My Digicel App” means Digicel Media Application (DMA).

By participating in the Promotion on the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

These Terms incorporate the My Digicel Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy which you can access via the App.

If you do not agree to or accept any of these Terms, you should stop participating in the Promotion immediately.


Additional Terms and Conditions


A.    This Promotion is offered for your personal use and not for commercial use and you agree not to sell any rewards redeemed through this Promotion.

B.     We reserve the right to disqualify you or terminate this offer if, in our sole opinion, the Promotion is being abused, such abuse to include but not be limited to selling or attempts to sell the prizes, whether on a commercial basis or otherwise, general abuse deemed as an attempt to undermine the integrity of our services.

C.    You are solely responsible for all associated fees and costs incurred by you for redemption of Other Prizes and for connectivity and data usage in relation to your use of the App. Be reminded that once roaming, you will not be able to use any data from your local prepaid or select postpaid plans.

D.    The selected winners must have complied with these Terms and Conditions to enter and be on an active, qualifying contract with no accounts held with Digicel being in arrears to be eligible to win the prizes.

E.     We reserve the right to modify or discontinue (permanently or temporarily), this Promotion being offered to you at our discretion.

F.     If a prize is unavailable, we may, in our discretion, substitute the prize with an alternative prize to the equal value and/or specification.

G.   Prizes are not exchangeable and are not redeemable for cash.

H.    We reserve the right to, at any time, with or without notice, vary or cancel the terms and conditions of this Promotion. In the event of us giving notice to you of any such changes to or cancellation of the Promotion, it shall suffice for us to give you notice via messages to your handset/device or to post such notification on the Digicel website or the App. Any such notification shall be effective immediately or as of the date referred to in such notifications.

I.      Any personal data relating to participants will be used solely for the purposes of this promotion by Digicel and/or by any agent appointed by it to assist with running the promotion on behalf of the Digicel and will not be disclosed to a third party for any other purpose without the individual’s prior consent. By entering this Promotion, you consent to the use of your personal data by Digicel and/or any agent appointed by it to assist with running the promotion for the purposes of administration of the promotion (including publishing your full name and county and/or disclosing it to third parties on request if you are the winner) and any other purposes to which you have consented. J.     Winners may be required to take part in related publicity, including (without limitation) publication of the name and image of a promotion winner along with their winning entry via Digicel’s website, social media and other press and media channels. No additional payment will be given for this.

K.    In addition to these Terms and Conditions, you remain bound by our My Digicel App Terms and Conditions of Use.
