Digicel continues to give back to St Lucian communities in a special way. Compelled by the desire to share tangible rewards with as many persons as possible, Team Digicel continued to make life better for over 70 less fortunate families around the island with its annual hamper distribution initiative.

With over fifty thousand dollars' worth of food supplies and toiletries purchased, the families received assistance to ease their financial burdens. Digicel management and staff visited the less fortunate families in Ciceron, Vieux Fort, Canaries, Choiseul and Anse La Ray.  Food supplies were also extended to the Soufriere Soup Kitchen which feeds many shut-in individuals in and surrounding the community.

Digicel ambassador, West Indies Cricketer and Captain of the West Indies 20/20 Team, Darren Sammy, a devoted community man himself, embraced the Digicel Hamper Distribution Project and took time off his busy schedule to join the Digicel Team to deliver hampers to the families.

Digicel prides itself on enhancing the lives of families who are mostly affected by social issues or natural disasters in the communities through the distribution of grocery hampers to aid the families.
