The product is designed to offer a competitive alternative for data roaming service in specific destinations including Caribbean territories. The product is designed to provide bundled data and minutes, access to free incoming calls, and reduced out-of-bundle calling and text rates. Plan has now been updated to include Cuba, Honduras and Dominican Republic.

2.     Who will benefit from the EZ Roaming plans?

            All active Digicel prepaid mobile subscribers

 

3.     How does this compare to other Roaming plans in market?

This is the only roaming plan or Bundle available in markets. Though customers can roam pay as    you go paying the standard out of bundle rates

 

4.     How do customers activate the roaming plans?

 

Customer will be able to activate the prepaid roaming plans by using the following methods:

My Digicel App, or on the web at p.mydigicel.net

 

5.     How do customers check their data /mins bundle balance and Roaming Plan expiration?

 

           Customer will be able to check their balance by using the following method:

  • My Digicel App at p.mydigicel.net

 

6.     How does the EZ Roam Plan work?

 

The EZ Roam plans provides prepaid customers with voice minutes and Data.

This also includes free incoming calls and SMS at the rate of $0.15 per sms sent (maximum 160 characters).

The Voice minutes will cover all roaming destinations while roaming in one of the eligible roaming destinations listed in Table 2, this also includes call back home.

Overage will be blocked for prepaid customers, hence prepaid customers exhausting their allotted data bundles will not be able to access mobile data, until the plan has expired.

9.     What are the rates to make calls while on an active Roaming Plan?

 

Customers will receive the below reduced calling rates while roaming in the EZ roam destinations that are currently included in the plan.

·       The bundles plan rates will be the same regardless of the network the customers is attached

·       Prepaid customers roaming in an eligible destination without an active roaming plan will be considered to be standard roaming and will be charged the existing standard roaming rates.

·       Prepaid customers roaming in a country not list as an eligible roaming plan destination will be standard roaming whether or not a roaming plan is active.

·       Customers in eligible destination who do not a have an active Roaming Plan will browse PAYGO at the standard data roaming rate for that destination and/or network.

 

10.  Will customers’ roaming plan auto renew?

No Roaming plans will not auto-renew

 

11.  Will the roaming data and voice bundle roll over?

Once the plan expires all the unused data and minutes will be lost. 

 

12.  Will customers get a notification when they have exhausted their roaming data or voice bundles?

Yes, In the event the data allotments are exhausted before the scheduled notification period, a prompt will be sent with an invitation to purchase a new plan.

Customers will receive data notifications advising when data allotment will soon be exhausted. Eg. Notification will be sent at [150MB], [ 50MB] and [ 0 MB] remaining.

 

13.  Will customers be able to move from one Roaming plan to another?

Customers can activate any variation of the EZ roam bundle together, the duration will be that of the latest plan activated.

 

14.  If customers have bonus credit on their account, can this credit be used while roaming?

     No, bonus credit is local features and can only be used you are on Digicel Cayman’s network

 

15.   Will customer be able use local data/Mins plan while roaming?

No, local plan allotment can only be used on Digicel Cayman’s Network

 

16.  How do customers get to Voicemail while roaming?

Dial 1345326 0000 to get to their voicemail.

Contacting voicemail while roaming will be charged similar to making a call to a local Digicel number, Based on the destination you are in.

 

17.  Will Customers be able to contact Customer Care while roaming?

Yes. Customers can dial 13456232273 in order to contact Customer Care while roaming.

Contacting voicemail while roaming will be charged similar to making a call to a local Digicel number, Based on the destination you are in.

Customers can use the web chat feature within the MyDigicel App to contact customer care.

The “EZ Roam plans allows postpaid customers the flexibility to roam in select countries around the world with bundled data and reduced voice/calling Rates, access to free incoming calls, and reduced  text rates.

10.  What happens if I am credit limit Barred, will I still be able to use my minutes and data from my plan?

If credit limit bar, customers will be able to activate the bundle and use data, they will not be able to make calls or send sms as these will be out of bundle charges.

 

 

11.  Will customers be able to activate the plan if they are not in Market?

Yes customers can activate the plan once they have internet access and the My Digicel App

 

 

12.  Will customers be charged to use the MDA while roaming?

Customers may be charged if they use My Digicel App while roaming without an active roaming    bundle. The free usage of My Digicel App is only within the Cayman Islands.

 

 

13.  How do customers get to Voicemail while roaming?

Dial [13453260000] to get to their voicemail.

 

14.  Will there be an added cost for checking voicemail or will voicemail come out of my bundle?

Contacting voicemail while roaming with an active will be based on the Home rates in Table 5.

 

 

15.  Will Customers be able to contact Customer Care while roaming?

Yes. Customers can dial 13456232273 in order to contact Customer Care while roaming.

Contacting Customer Care while roaming with an active plan, will be based on home rates in Table 5.

Customers can use the web chat feature within the MyDigicel App to contact customer care.

 

 

16.  What are the rates to make calls when customers do not have an active EZ Roam plan?

      Customers will be charged at the standard roaming rates. Standard roaming rates apply:

When roaming in any of the eligible destinations without an active plan.

Roaming outside of the eligible destinations with or without an active plan.

CARICOM Passport (Prepaid)

 

1. What is this New Caribbean Passport plan?

·       Caribbean Passport Roam plan provides subscribers with benefits of Data allocation for general Internet consumption while in an eligible roaming in CARICOM/Digicel destination and provides reduced Overage Rates for voice calls.

 

 

2. What is being offered with this plan?

•                     Roaming Data Allotment.

•                     Free Incoming call.

•                     Reduced PayGo/Overage rate for roaming voice calls.

Note: Rates will be based on zone the country is listed that the call is being made to.

9. Do I need to activate the plan before leaving my local/home country?

•                     No Pre-activation required before arrival in roaming destination, subscriber should be able to activate the plan from any location once connected to a mobile network. (internet access will be required for MDA usage while roaming)

 

 

10. Is there a limit to the number of plans I can activate?

•                     There is no limit to the number of times this plan can be activated.

•                     Subscriber can buy multiple of same or other Prepaid Caribbean Passport Roam plans at any given time.

 

 

11. Does the CARICOM Passport Roam plans auto- renew?

•                     The Prepaid CARICOM Passport Roam plans WILL NOT be allowed automatic renewal.

 

 

12. If I want my plan to auto renew can I opt-in to auto renewal?

•                     Yes a prompt is received to opt-in to auto-renewal.

•                     Prepaid customers should receive the renewal notification 2 days and 1 day before plan expiry.

•                     Except for the 3 day plan a notification should be received 24 hours before plans expire.  

 

 

13. Will I receive a prompt if I have used up my plan allocations?

•                     Yes, In the event the data allotments are exhausted before the scheduled notification period, a prompt will be sent with an invitation to purchase a new plan.

•                     Customers will receive data notifications advising when data allotment will soon be exhausted. Eg. Notification will be sent at [150MB], [ 50MB] and [ 0 MB] remaining.

 

 

14. If I do not use all my data will my data rollover?

·       Once a plan has expired, without the activation of another then all remaining allotment will be lost.

 

 

15. Will I be notified for plan rollover or plan expiry?

•                     Yes, expiry notifications will be sent.

•                     Customers can repurchase the same Prepaid CARICOM Passport Roam before it expires.

 

 

16. How can I check my balance from the CARICOM Passport Roam plan?

•                     Customers will be able to check their balance via My Digicel App or UMM using short code.

 

 

17. Will I be charged for data if I continue using a data session after my data allotments have been used up?

•                     When data allotments are exhausted customers will not be able to browse unless another plan is activated.

 

 

18. Can Digi-loan credit be used to purchase the Prepaid CARICOM Passport Roam Plan?

•                     Customers will be able to use Digi-loan credit towards purchase of the Prepaid Caribbean Passport Roam Plan.

 

 

19. Can I benefit from the CARICOM Passport plan in my home country?

•     Benefits of the CARICOM Passport is not accessible in the home country.

9. Do I need to activate the plan before leaving my local/Home country?

•                     No Pre-activation required before arrival in roaming destination, subscriber should be able to activate the plan from any location.

 

 

10. Is there a limit to the number of plans I can activate?

·                There is no limit to the number of times this plan can be activated.

·                Subscriber can buy multiple of same or other Postpaid CARICOM Passport Roam plans at any given time.

 

 

11. Does the CARICOM Passport Roam plans auto- renew?

•                     The Postpaid CARICOM Passport Roam plans WILL NOT be allowed to automatically auto-renewal.

 

 

12. If I want my plan to auto renew can I opt-in to auto renewal?

•                     Yes a prompt is received to opt-in to auto-renewal. 

 

 

13. Will I receive a prompt if I have used up my plan allocations?

•                     Yes, In the event the data allotments are exhausted before the scheduled notification period, a prompt will be sent with an invitation to purchase a new plan.

•                     Customers will receive data notifications advising when data allotment will soon be exhausted. Eg. Notification will be sent at [150MB], [ 50MB] and [ 0 MB] remaining.

 

 

14. If I do not use all my data will my data rollover?

                           No unused data will not roll over

 

 

15. Will I be notified for plan rollover or plan expiry?

•                     Yes, plan roll over and expiry notifications will be sent.

•                     Customers can repurchase the same Postpaid CARICOM Passport Roam before it expires.

 

 

16. How can I check my balance from the CARICOM Roam Passport plan?

•                     Customers will be able to check their balance via My Digicel App.

 

 

17. Will I be charged for data if I continue using a data session after my data allotments have been used up?

•                     When data allotments are exhausted customer will not be able to browse and would need to activate another plan.

 

 

18. Can I benefit from the CARICOM Passport plan in my home country?

·       Benefits of the CARICOM Passport is not accessible in the home country.

 

 

19. My CARICOM Passport Postpaid Roam plan can work in which countries?

•                     The Caribbean Passport Roam plan will be available in the below markets:
