For Kenolee Hamilton (@kenobless), a 34-year old farmer from Nine Turns District in Clarendon, becoming a Digicel social media fan was one of the most rewarding decisions she has ever made online.
Hamilton scored an all-expense paid trip for two to Brazil to see Team Jamaica perform at the Olympics after completing daily challenges in Digicel’s Sprint to Brazil Social Media Trials, which were hosted on Digicel’s social media pages.
“It’s always been my dream to go to one of the Olympics,” an excited Hamilton shared. “Athletics has always been one of my favourite sports and every time the Olympics come around, I watch every race and cheer for my country. The way how I love it, sometimes I watch the races and cry when I see how the athletes are out there representing Jamaica, whether they win, lose or draw. So, I can’t wait to be in that stadium this August cheering on the Jamaican team live and in living colour!”
Hamilton, who will be taking her sister Terry-Ann with her to Brazil, added, “At one point in the game, I really didn’t even think I could win playing against almost five thousand people, so I was going to stop. But then my daughter kept encouraging me to do the challenges and everyone chipped in to help and we had so much fun. It feels really great to win this from Digicel—it was really worth it.”
A long-time Digicel customer, Hamilton will be spending a total of ten days in Brazil. Her prize package includes tickets to all the races, brand new DL1000 smartphones and service, tours and exclusive access to signed memorabilia from Team Jamaica. Hamilton is the first of three winners of an all-expense paid trip for two in Digicel’s Sprint to Brazil promotion.
The promotion, which ended on June 9, 2016, also gave customers a chance to win when they topped up with $200 or more, activated a data plan, paid their bills or received top-up of US$10 or more from abroad or online.
