Prepaid PayGo Voice Rate Increase FAQ

1. Why has the voice rate increased?
In order to reflect the rising cost of providing this service, we continue to invest in upgrading our network, we’re making a slight adjustment to our PayGo voice service rates.
o Having realized that our customers are desirous of paying less for voice calls, we have included local call minute bundle offers in our diverse and competitive portfolio of plans that provide more value compared to the standard voice rates per minute.
o Kindly note that despite the persistent devaluation of the Jamaican dollar, the PayGo voice service rate has not been adjusted since 2019.

Effective May 17, 2021, if you are not on a Prime Bundle or any of our other plans, you will pay the new rate of $9.99 per minute to call local, USA, Canada, and UK landline numbers. The new rate replaces the $7.99 local rate, and the $8.99 rate to call the USA, Canada and UK landlines. Rates subject to government taxes of $0.50 per minute.
