Digicel’s “Money Pree” Top-Up Promotion – Terms & Conditions

These Frequently Asked Questions (“FAQs”) and Terms and Conditions (the “Terms”) apply to you and govern your participation in the Promotion for chances to win certain prizes. You should read these FAQs and Terms carefully before participating in the Promotion.


References to “we”, “us” and “our” means Digicel (Jamaica) Limited, a company registered under the laws of Jamaica with registered offices at 14 Ocean Boulevard, Kingston.  References to “we”, “us” and “our” also includes our subsidiaries and affiliates (“Affiliates”) from time to time.


These Terms incorporate the Terms and Conditions for the varying apps that form part of the Digicel Prime Bundle prizes.


If you do not agree to or accept any of these Terms, you should not participate in the Promotion.


Promotion Mechanics:

1.     What is the “Money Pree” Promotion”?

Digicel is offering its prepaid customers the opportunity to participate in the “Money Pree Promotion” subject to these terms and conditions. The Promotion allows prepaid customers to win daily, weekly and grand prizes by topping up with $300 or more.



2.     What is the promotional period for the Promotion?

This promotion is valid from Friday, February 5, 2021 12:01am through to Thursday, April 1, 2021 at 11:59:59pm.


3.     Who is eligible to enter the Promotion, “Eligible Customers”?

In order to be eligible to participate in this Promotion, you must be a Digicel prepaid customer who has topped up with $300 or more.


The following customers are excluded from participating in the Promotion:

a.     Business account customers;

b.     Employees/families of employees (Spouse and Children) of Digicel and it’s subsidiaries

c.      Digicel+ (formerly Digicel Home and Entertainment) only customers


4.     How does a customer participate in the Promotion?

To participate in the Promotion you will need to perform a qualifying top-up activity.


a)       GSM customers

Top up – Single top ups of $300 or more using any Digicel Top-Up method that includes Flexcards, Flex-e, BankFlex, WebFlex, Phone 2 Phone, Direct Top Up, My Digicel App, Digicel International Top Up and Digicel Online Top Up. Credit U and Digi Loan do not qualify as top-up methods. Cumulative top ups do not count towards entry into the Promotion. For example, a customer topping up with $100 x 3 within 24 hours will not qualify;   


b)       4G Broadband customers

Top up – Single top ups of $300 or more using methods outlined in 4(a) above.


Of note:

·         All customers will receive one (1) entry for each qualifying top-up.

·         This Promotion will be accessible to eligible customers while roaming, but any prizes won will only be available for redemption in Jamaica.




5.     How many times can a customer win?

There is no restriction to the number of times you can win.


6.     Rewards and Prizes


Daily Prizes

Each day of the promotion, beginning February 6th through to April 2nd, 2021, and One-Thousand (1,000) qualifying entries (i.e. entries submitted the previous day) will be randomly selected by the Raffle Manager System. Daily prime bundles will be awarded to the first one hundred and twenty-six (126) customers called by Digicel’s auto-dialer system and awarded in the order outlined in the below table.

Weekly Prizes

As per the weekly prize draw dates set out in the table below, One Hundred (100) qualifying entries will be randomly selected by Raffle Manager and the first ten (10) customers who answer the call from the Digicel representative shall be awarded $10,000 each.

Grand Prize

On Tuesday, April 6, 2021, Five Hundred (500) qualifying entries will be randomly selected by Raffle Manager and the first twenty (20) customers who responds correctly to the question asked by the Digicel Representative i.e. “What is the name of Digicel’s Top-Up Promotion?” and correctly quotes “Money Pree” on the first attempt without being prompted will be a winner of fifty thousand dollars ($50,000) each.

Note: Draws shall take place at Digicel HQ, 14 Ocean Boulevard, Kingston during the promotional period. The 8th weekly draw and the final grand draw is scheduled for April 6th, due to the Easter holidays being observed. Final daily draw will take place April 2nd.



            Prize Redemption process and usage:


                Daily Prizes


a.     Daily prizes will be automatically added to the customer’s account within 24hrs of winning prize.

b.     Bundles will be available for use from allocation (within any specified usage period for e.g. a 1day prime bundle, will last for 1day) and will expire as per the bundle’s validity period.

c.      Unused reward bundles will expire and there will be no rollover, with the exception of data bundles (as per existing rules regarding data bundle rollover).

d.     Reward bundles cannot be transferred to other customers, with the exception of data bundles (as per existing rules regarding data bundle transfer).

e.     Any usage that falls outside the specified usage period or after the bundle is depleted, will be billed at the applicable price plan rates.

Weekly & Grand Prizes

a.     The Selected Customer will be notified by a Digicel Representative who will call the mobile phone number used by the Selected Customer to participate in the Promotion.

b.     If the prize is declined, or unclaimed due to Digicel being unable to contact the Selected Customer from the contact details supplied after three (3) attempts (reasonably split over a twenty-four (24) hour period, Digicel reserves the right to withdraw the prize from the Selected Customer, and shall pick a replacement by randomly selecting another customer who has participated in this promotion via raffle manager.

c.      Once customers have been contacted by a Digicel representative and confirmed a winner, the cash prize can be collected at select paymaster locations island-wide.

d.     Upon claiming the cash prize at the Paymaster location, the customer shall be required to present his/her government issued ID and sign in order to claim cash prize.

e.     Customers are required to claim or redeem their cash prize within fourteen (14) days from the issue date of the notification of the prize win or the prize will be forfeited. Forfeited prizes shall be retained by Digicel (Jamaica) Limited.


7.      What will customers need in order to claim Cash Prizes?

Winners must present a valid Government issued photo ID (passport, voters’ identification card or driver’s licence) at the Paymaster location. The Winner will be required to also sign a receipt provided by the Paymaster agent, in order for the cash to be disbursed.



Minors under the age of 18 years are eligible for this Promotion, but must present a valid school ID or Passport and this should be accompanied by the National Photo ID of a parent or guardian who must also present a National photo ID along with the birth certificate of the said minor when redeeming their prizes.


Additional Terms and Conditions

A.    This Promotion is offered for your personal use and not for commercial use and you agree not to sell any rewards redeemed through this Promotion.


B.     We reserve the right to disqualify you or terminate (upon consultation and approval of the Betting, Gaming and Lotteries Commission) this offer if, in our opinion, the Promotion is being abused, such abuse to include but not be limited to selling or attempts to sell the prizes, whether on a commercial basis or otherwise, general abuse deemed as an attempt to undermine the integrity of our services.


C.    You are solely responsible for all associated fees and costs incurred by you for redemption of Cash Prizes.


D.    Prizes may not be transferred or exchanged unless otherwise stipulated by the Betting, Gaming and Lotteries Commission.


E.     The selected winners must have complied with these Terms and Conditions to enter and be on an active, qualifying contract with no accounts held with Digicel being in arrears to be eligible to win the prizes.


F.     We reserve the right to modify or discontinue (permanently or temporarily), this Promotion being offered to you upon consultation and approval of the Betting, Gaming and Lotteries Commission.


G.   If a prize is unavailable, we may, in our discretion, substitute the prize with an alternative prize to the equal value and/or specification with the approval of the Betting, Gaming and Lotteries Commission.


H.    We reserve the right to, at any time, with or without notice, vary or cancel the terms and conditions of this Promotion upon consultation and approval of the Betting, Gaming and Lotteries Commission. In the event of us giving notice to you of any such changes to or cancellation of the Promotion, it shall suffice for us to give you notice via messages to your handset/device or to post such notification on the Digicel website or the App. Any such notification shall be effective immediately or as of the date referred to in such notifications.


I.      Any personal data relating to participants will be used solely for the purposes of this promotion by Digicel and/or by any agent appointed by it to assist with running the promotion on behalf of the Digicel and will not be disclosed to a third party for any other purpose without the individual’s prior consent. By entering this Promotion, you consent to the use of your personal data by Digicel and/or any agent appointed by it to assist with running the promotion for the purposes of administration of the promotion (including publishing your full name and county and/or disclosing it to third parties on request if you are the winner) and any other purposes to which you have consented. J.     Winners may be required to take part in related publicity, including (without limitation) publication of the name and image of a promotion winner along with their winning entry via Digicel’s website, social media and other press and media channels. No additional payment will be given for this.
