From today, Digicel is offering you simply more prizes through the BiP App “Digi Hunt Promotion” (the “Promotion”), providing all Digicel customers with the opportunity to win prizes daily and cash on Saturdays, Hunt and Win days;


These Frequently Asked Questions (“FAQs”) and Terms and Conditions (the “Terms”) apply to you and govern your participation in the Promotion for chances to win certain prizes on the BiP application (the “App”) and in select Digicel stores island-wide. You should read these FAQs and Terms carefully before participating in the Promotion.


References to “we”, “us” and “our” means Digicel (Jamaica) Limited, a company registered under the laws of Jamaica with registered offices at 14 Ocean Boulevard, Kingston.  References to “we”, “us” and “our” also includes our subsidiaries and affiliates (“Affiliates”) from time to time.


These Terms incorporate the BIP App Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy which you can access via the App.


If you do not agree to or accept any of these Terms, you should not participate in the Promotion.



1.       What is the Digi-Hunt Promotion”?

This promotion has two elements namely: ‘Solve the daily clues and win’, viable on Mondays to Fridays, and the “hunt and win” viable on Saturdays only across the duration of this promotion. This promotion provides opportunities to win for Digicel Customers in the following categories:

(a) Smartphone users (eligible on both daily clues and hunt and win days) and

(b) Non-smartphone users (eligible on hunt and win days only).


2.       When does the Promotion start and end?

The Promotion is valid from 30th April 2021 (12:00am local time) and ends on 25th June 2021 (11:59pm local time) (the “Promotional Period”).


3.       Can I take part in the “daily clue” element of the Promotion?

Smartphone users can participate in the “daily clue” and the “hunt and win” element of the promotion once you are a Digicel BiP customer and have subscribed to the “The Digi-Hunt” channel in the app (an active BiP Customer).


Non-Smartphone users can participate in the “Hunt and Win” element of the promotion on Saturdays, once you are a Digicel customer.


The following customers are excluded, from participating in the Promotion:


a)       Postpaid corporate & business account customers;

b)      Digicel Employees/ immediate families of employees (mother, father, sister, brother, daughter, son, spouse), employees of affiliated companies associated with this promotion;

c)       Customers who use only Digicel+ (formerly Home and Entertainment services); or

d)      Postpaid customers with overdue amounts;


*This Promotion will be accessible to eligible customers while roaming, but any prizes won will only be available for redemption in Jamaica.


4.       How does ‘solving the daily clues’ element of Promotion work?


There are four steps to participating:


Step 1: Be an active BiP Customer (as defined above) who have downloaded the app.


Step 2: Subscribe to the Digi-Hunt channel for daily clues, featured content and winner updates.


Step 3: Be the first customer to solve the clue by 4pm, daily.  The answers to the clues must be in the form of a photo, video or text submitted in the Digi Hunt channel. Photos or videos submitted must include the person playing the game and the actual items deemed as the answer to the clue. Photos and videos, should not be edited or tampered with by the use of digital apps, or software to alter the current state of the photo or video, cropping of imagery or any other form of manipulation of an original image or video.


Step 4: If you are the first customer to correctly solve the clue for the day you are indeed the winner. Digicel will verify the winner on that specific day and make contact.



If a clue is not identified or answered by any customers within 3 hours, 1-3 hints will be shared via the Digi-Hunt channel to all followers of the Digi-Hunt channel.   


If no one finds the answer to the clue in the daily clue element on the day it is published, then the prize rolls over to the next day.


5.       What is the difference between Solving the Daily Clues and Hunt and Win Days?


a.       “Solving the daily clue”: Daily (Monday to Friday) during the Promotional Period, the participating eligible customers who solve the clues correctly will receive a non-cash prize set out in Schedule Item 1, for their individual attempt, upon submission of the answer in the Digi-Hunt Channel on the BiP App.


b.       “Hunt and Win Days”:  Every Saturday across the period shall be deemed Hunt and Win days with  fourteen (14) winners of J$20,000.00, island wide.

                     I.                        For smartphone customers, a clue associated with an old Digicel item will be shared with the customer through the BiP channel and they’ll be required to share a photo or a video of the old Digicel item. The first customer to share the photo or video of the correct item will be selected as the winner of $20,000 JMD cash to be redeemed at a location listed in Schedule Item 2.

                   II.                        For non-smartphone customers, an SMS text of a clue will be shared with them on Saturday at 7:00am. This clue will prompt them to hunt and find an old Digicel item and hand it in at a participating Digicel retail store or redemption centre before the store’s closing time. There are thirteen redemption centres and the first person to handover the correct item at each location will be deemed the winner of J$20,000.00. Each week, there will be thirteen non-smartphone winners on Saturdays; winners can redeem their cash prize at the locations listed in Schedule Item 2.


6.       How many times can I enter into the DigiHunt?

There is no limitation on how often a customer can enter. Participating customers can only win once across the promotional period.

7.       Will I be notified when to participate?

Yes.  During the Promotional Period we will notify you when the Digi-Hunt is available. 


Smartphone Users: On Mondays to Fridays during the promotional period, daily clues shall be posted in the Digi-Hunt channel in the BiP app at 10AM for the daily clue and for the Saturday Hunt and Win day  element.


Eligible customers are required to solve the hunt correctly and submit their entry via the Digi-Hunt Channel daily, by 4pm.


Non-Smartphone Users: The clue in the form of SMS will be shared every Saturday across the period on Hunt and Win days to provide an opportunity for non-smartphone users to participate.


For Hunt and Win Day, eligible customers are required to hunt and submit the correct item to a participating redemption center or retail store before closing time, see schedule item number 2 for opening and closing hours of redemption centres. The first customer who brings in the correct items will be selected as the winner.


8.       Will I be notified when I have won a prize?



Once a Smartphone participant is declared a winner of a prize, this will be communicated in the Digi-Hunt channel and featured on the @digiceljamaica Instagram. If your entry was selected you will be contacted via phone by a representative from Digicel within twenty-four hours of your entry being selected. You will be instructed to provide your full name, contact number and a valid Government issued ID and guided on how to collect your prize.


Three attempts shall be made to contact the winning participant over the span of twenty-four (24) hours. If attempts to contact the winning participant are unsuccessful, then Digicel shall contact the second correct entry from the channel. If there is no response from the second correct entry, then we shall contact the third correct entry and so on and so forth until a winner is selected.


Hunt and Win winners who are non-smartphone winners will be required to visit a redemption center by close of business on Saturdays (subject to the applicable Disaster Risk Management Orders) with physical proof of their Digicel item, for their entry to be validated.


The redemption centers will have a designated representative labelled as the Hunt Master who will support with validating the customers answer and advise the winning customer of the process to receive the sum won. These winners will be featured on the @digiceljamaica Instagram.


Location for redemption centers will be placed in the BiP channel, on our website and through short links in the SMS sent out on these days.

10.   What are redemption centers and where will these be located?


In the Digi-Hunt promotion the redemption centers are selected Digicel Retail stores who will become active on Hunt and Win days (Saturdays) for the validation of prizes across the promotional period for non-smartphone users only.

10.   What do I need to know about claiming Prizes?


The procedure for collecting prizes are as follows:


         I.            Winners must present a valid Government issued photo ID (passport, voters’ identification card or driver’s licence) and the Digicel Number used to participate in the HUNT. Customer will be required to complete and sign a Redemption Form confirming their receipt of their prize for the Digi-Hunt. Non-cash prizes are to be collected at the Digicel Headquarters, 14 Ocean Boulevard, and/or corporate offices in Cobbletonstone Centre, Mandeville or Fairview Plaza, Montego Bay.


    II.            All cash prize winners, Digicel will contact the customers within 24 hours of winning.


  III.            The Hunt and Win winners shall redeem their cash prize through Paymaster outlets listed in Schedule Item 3.

      I.            In the event that a special needs customer is selected and they are unable to collect their prize, that customer will be allowed to have a representative collect the prize on their behalf who must provide: written consent from the winner endorsed by a Justice of the Peace and valid Government issued photo identification for both the winner and the representative to claim the prize.


NB. You are required to collect your prize within 30 days of being contacted. If the prize(s) are uncollected within thirty (30) days, the prize shall be forfeited and retained by Digicel.


Additional Terms and Conditions

A.      This Promotion is offered for your personal use and not for commercial use and you agree not to sell any rewards redeemed through this Promotion.


B.      You are required to use a compatible smartphone to run the App and participate in the Promotion. A compatible smartphone is an Android (OS 4.0 or higher) or Apple (iOS 2.0 or higher) smartphone to participate.


C.      Customers must be 18 or older to participate in this promotion.


D.      We reserve the right to disqualify you or terminate this offer if, in our sole opinion, the Promotion is being abused, such abuse to include but not be limited to selling or attempts to sell the prizes, whether on a commercial basis or otherwise, general abuse deemed as an attempt to undermine the integrity of our services upon consultation and approval of the BGLC.

E.       The selected winners must have complied with these Terms and Conditions to enter and be on an active, qualifying contract with no accounts held with Digicel being in arrears to be eligible to win the prizes.


F.       Winners will be required to participate in any planned publicity in connection with this Promotion. By entering the Promotion, the prize winner consents to the use of his or her name, likeness, image, photograph for any and all programming and/or publicity promotion or advertising purposes, commercial or otherwise, in all media and formats used by us or our agencies, without further compensation, throughout the entire world in perpetuity. If a winner refuses to do so, they forfeit their right to claim the prize.


G.      Digicel, with consultation and prior approval from the Betting, Gaming and Lotteries Commission (BGLC), reserves the right to terminate, cancel, suspend and/or modify the promotion if any fraud, virus or other technical problem corrupts the administration, security, safety or proper play of the promotion. In such event, Digicel hereby specifically reserves the right (but not the obligation) to award some other prize hereunder (as determined by Digicel, with consultation and prior approval from the BGLC) by means of a random drawing from among the eligible entries received up until the time of the impairment


H.      You are solely responsible for all associated fees and costs incurred by you for redemption of Other Prizes and for connectivity and data usage in relation to your use of the App. Be reminded that once roaming, you will not be able to use any data from your local prepaid or select postpaid plans.


I.        If a prize is unavailable, we may, in our discretion, substitute the prize with an alternative prize to the equal value and/or specification upon consultation and approval of the BGLC.


J.        Prizes are not exchangeable and non-cash prizes are not redeemable for cash.


K.      Any personal data relating to participants will be used solely for the purposes of this promotion by Digicel and/or by any agent appointed by it to assist with running the promotion on behalf of the Digicel and will not be disclosed to a third party for any other purpose without the individual’s prior consent. By entering this Promotion, you consent to the use of your personal data by Digicel and/or any agent appointed by it to assist with running the promotion for the purposes of administration of the promotion (including publishing your full name and country and/or disclosing it to third parties on request if you are the winner) and any other purposes to which you have consented. L.       Winners may be required to take part in related publicity, including (without limitation) publication of the name and image of a promotion winner along with their winning entry via Digicel’s website, social media and other press and media channels. No additional payment will be given for this.
