1. The Digicel #Setfidisumma Summer promotion (hereafter referred to as the “Promotion”), is available to all Digicel customers who carry out a qualifying activity.

 

2. The #Setfidisumma Summer Promotion will run from July 20, 2018 – August 30, 2018 (“The Promotion Period”) and is authorized under Section 58 (3) of the Betting, Gaming and Lotteries Act.

 

3. Qualifying activities are: customers are given one entry for every $100 spend

 

a. Top up – Single top ups of $100 or more using any Digicel Top-Up method that includes Flexcards, Flex-e, BankFlex, WebFlex, Phone 2 Phone, Direct Top Up, Digicel App Top ups, Digicel International Top Up and Digicel Online Top Up. Credit U and Digi Loan do not qualify as top-up methods. Cumulative top ups do not count towards entry into the Promotion e.g. a customer who makes 2 top-ups of $50 each within 24 hours will not receive an entry;                                       

 

b. Postpaid 

i. Talk 10 minutes of accumulated talk time within 24 hours by Postpaid GSM customers

ii. Bill payment on time and in full (new and existing customers)

iii. New sign up of Postpaid Smart, Core or Plus plans

 

c. Acquisition

i. Purchase of handsets and SIMs in authorized dealer stores/agents

 

d. Wimax

i. Top ups of $100 or more

ii. Bill payment on time and in full (new and existing customers)

 

e. Home & Entertainment 

i. Bill payment on time and in full (new and existing customers)

ii. New sign ups – purchase any new package or add on (cable and internet)

4. Each day beginning July 21, 2018, customers will be randomly selected by the Raffle Manager System to win the daily prize of a data plan or credit. The first one hundred (100) customers that respond correctly will be awarded the prize.

5. *Each day beginning July 20, 2018, Digicel will select a winner of either $100,000 or $100,000 plus a vacation. Winners will be randomly selected using either Digicel’s Raffle Manager System at Digicel’s Head Office between 1pm – 6pm, or by randomly selecting a customer in person who can prove they completed a qualifying activity by a Digicel representative from anywhere in the island the Digicel team may visit. The first customer who responds correctly, stating the Digicel tag line on the first attempt, without being prompted will be awarded the prize. The qualifying periods and draw dates for the weekly prize draws are as follows:

6. d’Music

How to Enter

During the period from Friday, July 20, 2018 to Wednesday, August 22, 2018, customers who purchase a 7 day or 30 day subscription plan from d’Music and stream Beyoncé content are eligible for the d’Music grand prize draw.  The winner of the d’Music Beyoncé Live promotion will win a package that includes:

I. Two (2) round-trip tourist class tickets for the winner and traveling companion, departing from Jamaica on August 30, 2018 and to return on September 1, 2018. (USD1,600 winner +1)*

II. Travel Insurance (USD300)

III. Two (2) night’s stay Hotel Accommodations for the winner and his/her companion in a standard quality hotel with double occupancy (USD850 winner +1)*

IV. Ground transportation from airport in Miami to the Hotel on arrival, from the Hotel to the concert on August 31, 2018 and from the Hotel to the airport on return home on September 1, 2018 (USD200 winner + 1)

V. Two (2) tickets to the On the Run Tour 2 on August 31, 2018 at the Hard Rock Stadium located in Miami, FL USA (USD720 winner +1)

VI. A stipend valued at Seventy Five United States Dollars (USD$75.00) per day, per winner and his/her companion. (USD75*3 = 225 *2 = USD450)

VII. Total cost of prize package is approximately USD4,120 (FX JMD131)

 

Method of Selection

1. The prize is only for one (1) winner and one (1) traveling companion. Any additional companion will be expense of the winner and traveling companion and not the responsibility of Digicel, Sony Music Group or its affiliates.

2. The customer with the most streams will receive a telephone call from 876-619-5000 on Friday, August 24, 2018 between the hours of 12 noon to 2:00 pm, to advise them of winning. A maximum of three (3) calls will be placed to the customer. If no answer is received from the customer with the stipulated timeframe, this will be considered an automatic forfeit of the prize and Digicel will award the runner up with the most streams.

3. The selected winner will be announced on Friday, August 24, 2018 at via social media, press release and on Digicel’s websites.

 

 

7. Text to Win

How to Enter

Customers will register for a chance to win the weekly and grand prize packages. Prepaid customers that top up with $100 or more OR postpaid customer who talk for 10 minutes or more are eligible to win. Participants can text “SUMMER” as many times as they wish with one single objective; to collect the most tokens & gain the most points to earn highest rank in order to win the major prizes.

I. To enter the Competition the Prepaid Customers must top-up with $100 or more OR Postpaid customers must talk for 10 minutes or more. 

II. Customers can also text SUMMER to 444-2450 to qualify.

III. Upon completing a qualifying activity the customer will gain an entry in Digicel’s Summer Text to Win Competition. 

IV. To unregister, the customer can text STOP or EXIT to 444-2450.  There is no charge to exit the competition.

V. Once a qualifying activity is completed, customers will:  Receive a message with one of eight (8) tokens and the value of the token. This message will be free of cost.

2) Customers who are registered can request additional tokens to increase their chance to accumulate the highest number of points in the game. Registered customer’s text SUMMER to 444-2450 to request additional tokens to increase their chances of winning prompted by text to enter for more chances to win.

3) Customers will be charged $15 for each additional token sent to them (the customer is charged when the token is received)

 

 

Method of Selection

1) NewCom database (an SQL client) will be used to track each customer’s value.

2) Each day from 12:00 am on Friday July 20, 2018 to 11:59 pm to Thursday August 30, 2018 the customers point value is accumulated based on random tokens sent to them (qualifying token + additional tokens requested).

3) Winners for the weekly prizes, will be the customer with the highest ranking for each qualifying week, as per prize table listed below.

4) Winners for the Overall Grand Prizes (1st, 2nd and 3rd) will be selected on Friday August 31, 2018 at 12pm for the customers with the top 3 ranking for the promotion (July 20, 2018 to August 30, 2018) as per prize table below.

5) All winners will be contacted by Digicel and will be required to complete the Digicel tagline to win the grand prize. If by chance there is more than one customer tying for the highest score, the NewCom application will randomly choose the 1st prize winner. The other customer will be selected as the second prize winner.

6) A maximum of three (3) calls will be made to the selected winner within a period of an hour. If no response is received during that hour, another winner will be selected from the backup list of 19 potential winners in order drawn and the process repeated until winner has been contacted. .

8. There will be no draws on August 1st or 6th, 2018 (celebrated as Emancipation & Independence Days), draws will instead be done on Thursday, August 2nd and Tuesday August 7th, respectively.

 

1. Customers will be asked “What is Digicel Jamaica’s tagline” and must give the correct response of “Jamaica’s Bigger, Better Network; The Bigger Better Network or Be Extraordinary” to win prizes. Digicel will attempt to contact customers three (3) consecutive times only and if the Customer’s number is busy/no answer/off, goes to voicemail or if the customer does not want to participate in the Promotion (for example, for religious reasons), another customer will be contacted. If the selected customers from the first draw do not respond correctly or do not wish to participate then the additional back up winners will be contacted in the order in which they were selected.  

2. Prize winners except winners of data plan or credit are required to collect same from the Digicel Head Office, located at 14 Ocean Boulevard, Kingston or any other location so advised on the date specified. Prizes uncollected after fourteen (14) days from first contact remain the property of Digicel.

3. Winners must present a valid Government issued photo ID (passport, voters’ identification card or driver’s license) and the Digicel SIM to which the winning call was received on.

4. In the event that a special needs customer is selected and they are unable to collect their prize, that customer will be allowed to have a representative collect the prize on their behalf who must provide: written consent from the winner endorsed by a Justice of the Peace and valid Government issued photo identification for both the winner and the representative to claim the prize.

5. Minors under the age of 18 years, are eligible for this Promotion but must be accompanied by a parent or guardian when redeeming their prizes. 

6. Winners will be required to participate in any planned publicity in connection with this Promotion.  By entering the Promotion, the prize winner consents to the use of his or her name, likeness, image, photograph for any and all programming and/or publicity promotion or advertising purposes, commercial or otherwise, in all media and formats used by us or our agencies, without further compensation, throughout the entire world in perpetuity. If a winner refuses to do so, they forfeit their right to claim the prize.

7. Any additional costs, taxes or fees related to airline travel, hotel accommodations, admission to recreation parks and the cash in of the cheques outside of the prize budget, will be at the expense of the winner.

8. Digicel will be responsible for all travel arrangements to the Bahamas for the Weekly Grand Prize winner and their companion, providing that travel arrangements are confirmed by the date and time stipulated by Digicel. These include airfare (Economy) and transportation from the airport to the hotel, hotel accommodation and US$500 spending money for the winner. Failure to provide all information requested may render the award of the Weekly Grand Prize void and unenforceable. Travel arrangements may not be changed after they are submitted. The Weekly Grand Prize trip is subject to air travel/hotel availability, holiday and blackout dates and other travel restrictions as applicable. The Weekly Grand Prize winner and companion must have, and are responsible for obtaining, valid travel documents (including visas where necessary). Digicel shall not be responsible for failure to redeem the prize due to insufficient or inadequate travel documents.

9. With the exception of the weekly grand prizes, prizes cannot be transferred or redeemed for cash.

10. The Weekly Grand Prizes are transferable and in the event the winner cannot obtain adequate travel documents or does not wish to travel the Weekly Grand Prize must be transferred to a Digicel customer with adequate travel documents including current travel visas.

11. Where a winning Customer is transferring the Weekly Grand Prize, the Customer must request the transfer in writing to be witnessed by a JP, valid photographic ID of both the winner and the transferee will be required to claim the prize.

12. Digicel employees, dealer principals or employees of any of our affiliated companies, advertising, promotion and public relations agencies, dealers, distributors or anyone else connected with this promotion and their immediate family members and household members are not eligible for entry. For these purposes immediate family members are spouses, parents, siblings and children.

13. Digicel, with consultation and prior approval from the BGLC, reserves the right to terminate, cancel, suspend and/or modify the promotion if any fraud, virus or other technical problem corrupts the administration, security, safety or proper play of the promotion. In such event, Digicel hereby specifically reserves the right (but not the obligation) to award some other prize hereunder (as determined by Digicel, with consultation and prior approval from the BGLC) by means of a random drawing from among the eligible entries received up until the time of the impairment.
