The staff of Digicel, Newcom, its advertising & PR agencies, Dealers, Distributors and sub-distributors and their immediate families (spouse, brother, sister, father, mother, daughter, son) are not eligible to enter. 

 

1. What is the Digicel’s “Quick Draw Game” Text Competition?

The Digicel’s “Quick Draw Game” Text Competition gives all Digicel customers a chance to win great prizes by registering and participating in the competition. 

 

2. Who is eligible to enter this promotion?

All Digicel customers, including postpaid, prepaid and dual customers are qualified to participate in the promotion.

 

3. What is the promotional period?

The promotion begins at 12am on Thursday, November 1, 2018 to Friday, November 30, 2018 on 11:59pm.

 

4. How do I enter the promotion?

You may enter by texting the word PLAY to 4442424. 

Upon texting the word PLAY you will be registered in the Digicel’s “Quick Draw Game” Text Competition. There is a $15 charge to register for the competition. You will then receive a text message advising of the type of token, the amount of points assigned and your rank in the competition.  

 

5. How does the Promotion Work? 

  • All Digicel Customers are able to register for a chance to win a Grand Prize in the Digicel’s Quick Draw Competition. 
  • To register at a cost of $15 customers must text the word PLAY to 4442424. Each registered customer will receive a token each day with points assigned until the end of the competition. Customers may also request additional tokens by texting AIM to 444-2425.
  • Daily tokens are scheduled to be sent at 10:00 a.m. each day to each registered customer at a cost of $15 per token.  Customers receiving daily token must have sufficient credit on their phone to cover the cost of each token.  If they do not have sufficient credit, they will not receive their token for the day.  
  • Postpaid customers are required to have available balances outside of their allotted bundle to be able to receive the daily tokens.
  • Customers will be able to send ‘AIM’ from their mobile phone to 444-2425 at a cost of $15. Once “AIM” is sent, and charges apply, customers will receive a text with a token and their rank. 
  • Participants can send “AIM” as many times as they wish with one single objective; to collect the most tokens & gain the most points to earn highest rank in order to win the major prizes.

6. Once registered will I receive a text automatically each day? 

Yes. Provided you have sufficient credit to cover the cost of the message.

You will receive one token along with amounts of points and your current rank per request. 

By texting AIM to 444-2425, you will be able to collect more tokens thus increasing your points and rank in the competition

Note: Each text to 444-2425 will be at the cost of $15.

 

7. What tokens are sent at each request and what amounts of points is assigned to each?

Tokens and their corresponding points are shown in the table below.  Tokens will be randomly sent to each participant’s phone.

8. What message do I receive when I register for the competition?

Upon successful registration you will receive a message similar to the following, 

"Welcome to Digicel's Quick Draw game where each day you could WIN $10,000 CASH. To hit the bull’s eye, text AIM to 4442425. To unsubscribe text “EXIT” to 4442425. $15/text"

Subsequent to the welcome message a second text will be sent from 4442425 with the token and points

"You hit the 1 point mark. Oh no!! Better luck next time! Your total points is 1 & ranked #1. To hit the bull's eye, text AIM to 4442425. $15/txt "

 

9. I do not wish to receive any more messages, how do I unregister?

To unregister, the customer can text EXIT to 444-2425. 

N.B. There is no charge to exit the competition.

 

 

10. Am I able increase my points and rank in the competition? 

Yes. 

By texting “AIM” to 444-2425, you will be able to get more tokens to increase your points and rank in the competition. Each text to 444-2425 will be at the cost of $15.

Upon texting “AIM” to 444-2425, you will receive a message similar to the following:

"You hit the 1 point mark. Oh no!! Better luck next time! Your total points is 1 & ranked #1. To hit the bull's eye, text AIM to 4442425. $15/txt"

 

11. Am I able to increase my points in the Competition? 

Yes. 

The competition will have the element of double, triple, quintuple, 10Up, 20Up, 30Up, 50Up, 100Up, 200Up, 300up and 500up days. On the Double day, participating subscribers will receive double the amount of points for the tokens received hence giving an increased chance to WIN. On the triple day, Digicel will give 3 times the amount of points for every token received on that day etc.

 

12. What is a ‘Double/Triple Entry’ day? 

Digicel selects a random day in which each tokens assigned points are doubled/tripled for that day. 

This gives customers an increased chance of winning.

 

13. How will I be notified of a ‘Double/Triple Entry’ day? 

Customers will receive a text similar to the one below:

"Today ONLY Digicel will give double the points for every token! Simply text AIM to 4442425 to increase your chances to WIN $10,000 CASH daily. Costs $15"

 

14. How are the prizes selected? 

There will be thirty four (34) winners of the draw for the Competition who will get the daily cash and weekly prize packages.

The Daily Prize is awarded each day from Friday November 2, 2018 at 12pm to Monday December 3, 2018 to the top customer with the highest accumulated daily points. See draw table below.

One Weekly Prize is awarded at 12pm on Monday November 12, 2018 to the top customer with the highest accumulated points from November 1st to November 9th, 2018. Second weekly prize is awarded at 12pm on Monday November 19, 2018 to the top customer with the highest accumulated points from November 10th – 18th, 2018. Third weekly prize is awarded at 12pm on Monday November 26, 2018 to the top customer with the highest accumulated points from November 19th – 24th, 2018. Fourth weekly prize is awarded at 12pm on Monday December 3, 2018 to the top customer with the highest accumulated points from November 25th – 30th, 2018. See draw table below.

All winners will be contacted by Digicel and will be required to complete the Digicel tagline, “Jamaica’s Bigger Better Network”, “The Bigger Better Network” or “Digicel Jamaica’s Bigger Better Network” to win the daily and weekly prize packages.

If there are more than one customers tying for the highest accumulated points, a winner will be randomly chosen from the backup list of 19 potential winners.

If the customer selected with the highest points does not complete the tagline correctly, the customer with the next highest or tied points will be selected and called until a winner is chosen from the backup list.

In addition to these Terms and Conditions, the Customer remains bound by any other terms and conditions of use of any of Digicel’s other services including the general Terms and Conditions governing Digicel’s Data Services and Digicel Telephone Services.

In the event the account of a Customer who is eligible to win any of the major prizes is the subject of a billing dispute in relation to the Competition as a result of fraud, erroneous charging, other technical problem that corrupts the administration, Digicel with the approval of Betting, Gaming & Lotteries Commission reserve the right to withhold the prize, terminate, cancel, suspend and/or modify the Competition until the disputed amount (and related charges) have been investigated. 

 

15. Do I get a token for each text sent to 444-2425?

Yes. 

You will receive a token along with points and your current rank per request. 

By texting “AIM” to 444-2425, you will be able to collect more tokens to increase your points and rank in the competition. 

Note: Each text to 444-2425 will be at the cost of $15.

 

16. What is the cost to register?

Each text message sent to 4442424 costs $15 per 160 characters.

Note: This includes the initial text “PLAY” to enter the competition.

 

17. When will the Grand Prize winners be selected?

There will be no grand prize winner.

18. How often am I allowed to enter?

You are allowed to enter as often as you wish.

 

19. How will I know if I have won?

If your entry was selected you will be contacted via phone by a representative from Digicel.

 

20. What if I was called, but I missed the call?

  • In order to win the prize you are required speak with the Digicel representative. 
  • If the call is unanswered then the attempt has failed. A failed attempt includes calls that are unanswered, calls that go to the voicemail or if the phone is turned off.
  • Five (5) attempts, within an hour, will be made to contact each customer that is chosen. 
  • If all five (5) attempts fail, then another potential winner is selected.

 

21. What if the network is unavailable when I try to play?

Digicel gives no warranty or guarantee that its network or services shall be continuous, or will be free from faults.  Digicel will, however, use its best endeavors to ensure its network and services are reasonably fault free, and that service is reasonably uninterrupted. 

 

22. If I was contacted and won where do I collect the prize?

You will be required to collect your prize at the Digicel office located in Kingston.

23. If I was contacted and have won, how long do I have to collect my prize?

You are required to collect your prize within 30 days of being contacted.

 

24. What do I need in order to claim the prize?

You are required to take with you the following items

  • A valid government issued photo ID (passport, driver’s license or national voter’s ID)
  • The SIM card that was used to play the game.

 

25. Am I allowed to enter if I am under 18 years of age?

Yes. Persons under 18 years are allowed to enter.

 

26. What do I do if I have won and I am under 18 years old?

Juveniles (under 18) winning must be accompanied by parents/guardians in order to claim prizes. All winners must present the sim card that played the game as well as a valid national government ID, in order to claim their prizes. Parents/guardians should present a valid national government ID as well as the child. In the case the child does not have a valid national government ID then a birth certificate or student ID will be acceptable.

 

27. Is this game authorized by Betting Gaming and Lottery Commission? 

Yes, this game is “Authorized under Section 58(3) of the Betting, Gaming and Lotteries Act.”
