The “LIGHT UP YUH HOME & WIN” Promotion (the “Promotion”) Terms and Conditions (the “Terms”) apply to you and govern your participation in the Promotion for chances to win certain prizes. You should read these Terms carefully before participating in the Promotion.
“We” or “us” means Digicel (Jamaica) Limited, a company registered under the laws of Jamaica with registered offices at 14 Ocean Boulevard, Kingston, Jamaica. References to “we”, “our” and “us” in these Terms include our subsidiaries and affiliates (“Affiliates”) from time to time.
“I” or “You” means the person participating in this Promotion.
By participating in the Promotion, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to or accept any of these Terms, you should stop participating in the Promotion immediately.
1. What is the “LIGHT UP YUH HOME & WIN” Promotion”?
This Promotion provides an opportunity to Digicel+ customers to win certain prizes once they perform the Qualifying Activity during the Qualifying Period.
2. What is the Promotional Period?
This Promotion is valid from June 23, 2023 at 12:00 AM EST through to July 21, 2023 at 11: 59 PM EST.
3. Who is eligible to enter the Promotion?
In order to be eligible for this Promotion, you must be eighteen (18) years or older, a new or existing Digicel+ customer and must perform any of the following Qualifying Activities during the Qualifying Period (“Eligible Customer”):
· Switch to Digicel + (Activate any Fibre + TDD bundle/plan)
· Upgrade your Digicel + Fibre bundle and or internet-only plan
· Pay your Digicel + bill on time and in full
Please note that new customer signs-up will end on July 15, 2023 to accommodate the activation of their home fibre plan or bundle in order to benefit from the Promotion. Sign-ups are awarded an entry once installation is complete. All other customers who wish to upgrade their packages or pay their bill will be eligible throughout the Qualifying Period.
The following customers are excluded from participating in the Promotion:
a. Postpaid Corporate & Business account customers;
b. Customers who have elected not to participate in any Digicel promotions;
c. Digicel employees/families of Digicel employees (Spouse and Children), employees of affiliated companies associated with this Promotion;
d. Ambassadors of Digicel;
e. Employees who have left Digicel within the three (3) month period preceding the commencement date of the Promotion and during the Promotional Period;
f. Digicel+ customers with an overdue amount;
g. Directors of Digicel during the Promotional Period; and
h. Minors (persons under the age of 18 years);
4. How will entries be awarded?
Customers will receive one entry into the Promotion for the daily, weekly and grand draw after completing a Qualifying Activity during the Qualifying Period.
5. Will the customer be notified when to enter the Promotion?
Public awareness for this Promotion will be in the form of programmatic advertising, social media posting and direct SMS messages to the customers during the Promotional Period. The promotional details will also be uploaded to our website at www.digiceljamaica.com.
Customers will receive the following SMS:
“Want MORE PLUS with Digicel+? WIN TVs daily, laptops weekly, and the grand prize of Smart Home appliances. Text 245 to 137 for ways to WIN.”

6. Who can customers contact if they have queries or complaints about the Promotion?
For assistance with queries or complaints in respect of this Promotion, customers may contact Digicel’s customer care at Customercare@digicelgroup.com or call 145 or 876-619-3444.
7. Is there a limit to the amount of times a customer can enter the Promotion?
No, customers may enter the Promotion as many times as they wish. More entries mean more chances to win.
8. How many times can a customer enter and win?
During the Promotional Period, customers have the chance to win the daily prizes multiple times. However, it is not possible to win both a daily and a weekly prize; you will however remain eligible to win the grand draw prize.
Additionally, a customer may only win the weekly prize once during the Promotional Period; for example, if a customer won the weekly prize in week one (1) they will not be eligible to win the weekly prize in any subsequent weeks, the customer will however remain eligible to win the grand draw prize.
9. What is the Qualifying Period for the Daily, Weekly and Grand Prize Draw?
The Qualifying Periods for different draws are as follows:
In respect of the daily draw, you will be in the pool of Eligible Customers once you have done a Qualifying Activity up until 11:59 PM EST on the day preceding the draw date.

All draws will be done at 3:00 PM EST on the respective draw dates specified above at Digicel’s Headquarters. The order of priority where multiple draws are done on the same day is as follows: daily followed by weekly draw. Customers will have up until 11:59 PM EST on the day preceding draw date in order to qualify.
10. How will winners be selected?
Winners for the daily, weekly and grand prize will be randomly selected from an electronic pool of Eligible Customers via Digicel’s Raffle Manager Platform. On the draw dates, a total of fifty (50) account numbers will be pulled and arranged in a top-bottom sequential order and the Digicel representative will attempt to make contact until a winner has been identified.
11. How will winners be notified?
Three (3) calls will be made to the account holder selected by Digicel’s Raffle Manager Platform in a top-bottom sequential order within forty-eight (48) hours of the specified draw date. Contact will be made to the phone number associated with their Digicel+ account. If there is no response, the next account holder number in-line will be contacted until a winner is successfully identified. All calls to customers will be made from 876-619-5000; this number is the only number that is authorized for the making of calls to winners for this Promotion. During the telephone contact of the selected winners, full details of the winning prize will be communicated along with the process for redeeming their prize.
12. What will winners need in order to claim their prize?
In order to claim their prize, the winner will need to provide the below information to the email address provided by the Digicel representative who contacted them from 876-619-5000 within three (3) – five (5) business days of contact by Digicel:
- Full Name
- Address
- Account and mobile number on Digicel+ account
- Valid Government issued photo identification denoting name, address, photo and the corresponding ID number of the winner (Licence, Passport, Voter’s ID) (original identification should be presented upon attendance at our office)
- A clear head shot photo
Special Needs Winners
If a selected winner has special needs and is unable to collect their prize and/or submit the relevant documents, that winner will be allowed to have a representative act on their behalf. Such representative must provide written consent from the winner selected, endorsed by a Justice of the Peace and valid Government-issued photo identification for both the winner and their representative to claim the prize.
Forfeiture of Prizes
If a winner is unable to provide the above information and documents within the timeframe stipulated above, the prize will be forfeited. If a prize is forfeited, Digicel reserves the right to select another winner in accordance with the mechanism specified herein, subject to consultation and approval from the Betting, Gaming and Lotteries Commission.
The Grand Prize winner specifically is required to attend the “Grand Draw Handover” on August 4, 2023 at Digicel’s Headquarters (14 Ocean Boulevard, Kingston) failing which the prize may be forfeited.
Additional Considerations for Prize Redemption
a) Prizes must be collected within thirty (30) days of being advised that same is ready for collection by the Digicel representative. Otherwise, prizes will be forfeited.
b) Winners will be required to sign a Redemption Form confirming receipt of their prize. By redeeming your prize, you agree to the manufacturer’s warranty and terms and conditions.
c) Prizes may not be transferred or exchanged unless otherwise approved by the Betting, Gaming and Lotteries Commission.
d) Digicel reserves the right to award any forfeited prizes to another participant in the Promotion and to substitute Prizes where reasonably required upon consultation and approval of the Betting, Gaming and Lotteries Commission.
e) Save in the event of its gross negligence, neither Digicel, nor any other person or party associated with the Promotion, their associated companies, agents, contractors and sponsors or any of its personnel involved in the Promotion, shall be liable whatsoever for any loss or damage incurred or suffered, death or personal injury suffered or sustained, or costs incurred, arising from either participation in the Promotion or from claiming any reward.
Additional Terms and Conditions
A. This Promotion is offered for your personal use and not for commercial use and you agree not to sell any rewards redeemed through this Promotion.
B. We reserve the right to disqualify you or terminate (upon consultation and approval of the Betting, Gaming and Lotteries Commission) this offer if, in our opinion, the Promotion is being abused, such abuse to include but not be limited to selling or attempts to sell the prizes, whether on a commercial basis or otherwise, general abuse deemed as an attempt to undermine the integrity of our services.
C. The selected winners must have complied with these Terms and Conditions to enter and be on an active, qualifying contract with no accounts held with Digicel being in arrears to be eligible to win the prizes.
D. If a prize is unavailable, we may, in our discretion, substitute the prize with an alternative prize to the equal value and/or specification with the approval of the Betting, Gaming and Lotteries Commission.
E. We reserve the right to, at any time, with or without notice, vary or cancel the terms and conditions of this Promotion upon consultation and approval of the Betting, Gaming and Lotteries Commission. In the event of us giving notice to you of any such changes to or cancellation of the Promotion, it shall suffice for us to give you notice via messages to your handset/device or to post such notification on the Digicel website or the MyDigicel App. Any such notification shall be effective immediately or as of the date referred to in such notifications.
F. By entering this Promotion, you consent to the use of your personal data by Digicel and/or any agent appointed by it to assist with running the Promotion for the purposes of administration of the Promotion (including publishing your full name and country and/or disclosing it to third parties in accordance with applicable law) and any other purposes to which you have consented. G. Winners agree to take part in any promotional, marketing or publicity activities or events reasonably requested by Digicel, failing which the prize may be forfeited. By participating in the Promotion, you consent to the use of your name, likeness, image, photograph for any and all programming and/or publicity or advertising purposes, commercial or otherwise, in all media and formats used by Digicel or its agencies, without further compensation, throughout the world in perpetuity. If you refuse to do so, you forfeit your right to claim the prize if you are selected as the winner.
H. In addition to these Terms and Conditions, you remain bound by our MyDigicel App Terms and Mobile Terms and Conditions of Use.
