  1.  What is the Digicel Christmas “Mega Value Family Plan” Promotion?   

Digicel is giving you MEGA Value this season! With our Christmas Promotion, all existing Prepaid and Postpaid customers who are parents will be able to participate in any of our two Mega Value offers:

 

    A. Mega Value Family Plan (Sim purchase without phone Dec 1-31)

The Digicel Christmas “Mega Value Family” will allow all existing Prepaid or Post-Paid customers the opportunity to purchase a prepaid SIM for their child (Between the ages of 10 and 16) and link it to the parent’s existing mobile number and earn the following rewards;

 

        i.       Fifty (50) minutes of voice calls per day from Child to Parent SIM.

        ii.     3GB of any use data for the child account.

        iii.    Mega Value Famil plan is free in December but from January 1st 2023,                 plan cost $2500.

 

 

 

    B. Value Family Combo (Phone + Sim Purchase December 1-31)

The Digicel Christmas “Mega Value Family Combo Plan” will allow all existing Prepaid or Post-paid customers the opportunity to purchase for their child (Between the ages of 10 and 16) a mobile device at a discounted rate + a new prepaid SIM to link to their existing mobile number and earn the following rewards;

 

            i.       Fifty (50) minutes of voice calls per day from Child to Parent SIM.

            ii.     3GB of any use data for the child account.

            iii.    Mega Value Famil plan is free in December but from January 1st 2023, plan cost $2500.

            iv.    Discounted rate of $9,500 on the Logic L63 handset purchase for child (Between the ages of 10 and 16)

 

2.     When does the Promotion start and end?

 

        Promotion Period Start Date: December 1st, 2022

        Promotion Period End Date: November 30, 2023

 

Eligibility/Join Period: December 1st to December 31st (New SIM purchase and activation of the Mega Value Family Plan must be done between this period to benefit from this promotion)

 

 

3. Who is eligible to participate in the Promotion? 

                         i.         All Digicel Mobile customers who are parents and are active                             Prepaid or Postpaid subscribers will be able to participate in the                             “Mega Value Family Christmas Promotion”.

                       ii.         The respective Child who is between the ages of 10 and 16.

 

 

5.    How does the Promotion work?

 

Follow these steps to participate in the Promotion:

 

        A.    Mega Value Family Plan (SIM purchase without phone Dec 1-31)

            Step 1: Visit a Digicel store and ensure you have the MyDigicel App             downloaded;

            Step 2: Complete the Digicel Mega Value Family Promotion Participation             & Consent Form in the MyDigicel App (This can also be done prior to             visiting the Digicel store);

            Step 3: Upon purchase, a Digicel representative will activate a free Digicel             Mega Value Family plan on your child’s account then will add your child’s             SIM to your account. The SIM will cost the usual $2,500.

            Step 4: You will be able to continue activating the Mega Value Family Plan             on the child’s account in the MyDigicel App from January to November             2023 at a cost of $2,500

 

    B.    Mega Value Family Combo (Phone Purchase + SIM Dec 1-31)

        Step 1: Steps will be same as above with the addition of purchasing a Logic            L63 for your child for $9,500.

 

        For the SIM only and SIM + Handset offer above, please note the below.

            o   To participate in this promotion, the parent will be required to show proof of the child’s age by presenting a birth certificate of the child.

            o   Only 1 Child can be added per parent and vice versa

            o   Parent can be either Prepaid or Postpaid however the child account can only be Pre-paid. The first time activaton of this Family Plan is done in-store only by the Sales Representative. Once accounts are linked and the Mega Value Family Plan is active, this cannot be changed.

            o   The parent will also need to present Proof of Address.

            §  The child will immediately be able to start calling the parent for free             (50    minutes daily)

            o   First-time activation of the Mega Value Family Plan for new child             account in December is free

            o   Mega Value Family Plan is a data and voice plan and has a 30-day             validity (renewable) and the child will be notified via SMS in case of Mega             Value Family Plan expiry

            o   The cost to activate the Mega Value Family plan after December is             $2,500.

            o   Child account holders can independently buy more Prime bundles and             offers as usual

            o   Parent and Child customers can both also enjoy the Christmas 10GB             Data bonus from January to March and continue to maximize the value.

 

6. How many children can a parent register for the Mega Value Family plan?

Only 1 Child can be added per Parent under the Mega Value Family Plan

 

7. Is there an age requirement for each child?

Yes. The child has to be 10 – 16 years old.

 

8. Should my child be present at the Point of Sale?

Not necessary

 

9. Do I need to provide proof/evidence of relationship between me and my child?

Yes, your ID must match the parent’s name on the child’s birth certificate

 

10. Will I be required to provide proof of age for my child?

The parent will be required to show proof of the child’s age by presenting a birth certificate

 

11. What if I have two phones, can I just purchase a SIM only for my child and link to my account?

Yes, you will able to utilize the Mega Value Family plan offer which allows you to purchase the a sim only for your child and link to your existing Digicel number. This however must be done by the Digicel representative at the time of purchase of the new SIM.

 

 

12. If my child already has an account can he/she be qualified for Phone +Sim offer?

No, an existing account cannot be used for a child. Only new sim purchases qualifies for the Mega Value Family Combo plan [New Phone + SIM].

 

 

14. Will my child’s data rollover?

Yes, if the 3GB of data is not finished, it will be rolled over once the new Mega Value Family plan is renewed before the grace period as is usual for other data plans.

 

15. Will my child be able to check Data Bonus and Minutes balances?

Yes, you your child will be able to check balances via MyDigicel App

 

16. Can the child use the 50-minute per day to call any other numbers besides the parent?

No, the Family plan will allow free 50 minutes daily voice calls from child to parent ONLY. Regular calling rates will be applied for any other calls.

 

 

17. What happens if my child exhausts the 50-minute per day limit?

If your child exhaust the daily 50 minute limit then calls will be defaulted to PAYGO where regular calling rate will be applied.

 

 

18. Will the Daily 50 minutes roll over?

No, if the child did not utilize the entire 50 minutes, it will not roll over. 50 minutes to call the parent will be available the next day.

 

 

19. How do I ensure my child continues receiving these benefits?.

To ensure your child maintains full monthly benefits of the Mega Value Family Plan, the plan must always be active on the child’s account.

 

 

20. Will there be a monthly subscription charged to maintain the Mega Value Family plan?

First-time activation of the Mega Value Family Plan is free. However, for the child to continue enjoying the benefits, a new monthly subscription must be renewed at a cost of $2,500.

 

 

21. How can I activate the Mega Value Family Plan on my child’s account from January?

You will be able to activate the plan in the MyDigicel App. From January, the plan will be available in the MyDigicel App only for child accounts that qualify/participate in the offer in December. The existing child/parent link will remain.

 

 

22. Will there be an option to cancel the Mega Value Family Plan?

Yes, there will be an “opt out” option as well as an option to cancel auto renewal via the MyDigicel app.
