What is LTE? 

LTE is the new technology that enables your device to speeds up to ten time faster than 4G. LTE means being able to stream videos without having to wait on them to buffer or load. To hear sound as it was meant to be heard in full high definition, potentially hearing everything the human ear is capable of hearing. To be able to conduct business transactions online speedily and securely.

All Digicel prepaid and Postpaid customers can live the SUPER-FAST LTE experience.

 

How do I get LTE coverage?

Digicel LTE is island-wide so for the most part you should have coverage wherever you go.

 

How can I get LTE?

To live the BEST LTE experience is necessary to use a LTE compatible device and SIM. To make sure if your device/SIM is compatible with LTE, we invite you to visit your favourite Digicel Store.

 

How do I know if I already have LTE?

By using the compatible device, the right top corner of the screen should say “LTE” or “4G LTE”. The icon displayed will vary depending on the handset or device/or model.

 

I am an existing customer, do I get LTE automatically?

No, existing customers will be able to live the LTE experience only by using a compatible device/SIM and by upgrading to a LTE plan.

 

How do I check if I have a compatible plan?

All our plans are compatible with LTE once you have a compatible device and sim. You can activate these plans from as low as ECD$6.00, simply follow the click through to our quick picks page or go to the MyDigicel App

 

If I am a Postpaid Customer, can I get a Postpaid LTE plans?

Yes, all of our plans are compatible with LTE. You can find our Freedom postpaid bundles here 

 

Will LTE use more data?

With LTE your data will be faster. It does not mean that your plan will be automatically more expensive.

 

Will LTE affect the battery life of my device?

No, the battery life of your device will always depend on the usage of your device.

 

How do I check my Data balance?

You have two ways:

·         Service Menu: *140# Enter the “Balances” menu, then press 2 for “My Balance” and then press 5 for your Data balance.

·         My Digicel App – click on the app and go to ‘Accounts and Balances’.
