2. How can I purchase a Freedom plan?

  You can activate any of our Freedom bundles via the My Digicel App at, or by dialing *140# to access the prepaid service menu.

3. How will I know when my Freedom Plan is active?

You will receive a confirmation sms to let you know that you're free to use your Freedom Plan, this message will also include the expiration date.

 4. Where can I call with my voice minutes?

Depending on your plan of choice;

Local Minutes – Both Digicel and other local networks

Anywhere Minutes – # Calls to USA, Canada (fixed and mobile), UK (fixed) and Digicel mobiles in other Digicel markets.

 5.  How do I check the balance of minutes and data on my Freedom Plus plans?

You have two ways:

Service Menu: *140# - enter the “Balances” menu, then press 6 to enter the “Check Plan Balance” and expiry to see your available minutes and/or data balances.

My Digicel App – click on the app and go to ‘Accounts and Balances’.

 6. Can I roam with my Plan, and will I be able to use the available data and voice minutes?

  You can use the data aspect of your bundle in lower OECS markets (SVG, St. Lucia, and Dominica). When roaming to other markets an EZ roam bundle is needed or you would be charged standard roaming rates for data, incoming and outgoing calls data while roaming.


9. Will my plans renew?

Yes. You will receive notifications advising you of your prepaid freedom plan expiry, and auto renewal

If at expiry you have sufficient credit, the plan will auto renew.

If you have insufficient credit at plan expiry the plan auto renewal will fail and the Prepaid Plan ends.

You will also be able to opt out of auto-renewal via *140# or the My Digicel App or the My Digicel Web.

10. Can I upgrade or downgrade my Freedom plan?

 Yes, you can upgrade/downgrade your plan through the My Digicel App or short code*140#.

11. What happens to my unused mins/data if I don't activate/auto renew another plan?

 You get to keep your unused minutes and data when you activate another Freedom Plan before midnight on the day of plan expiry.

12. How will I know when my Freedom plan is expired?

You will know when your freedom plan is expiring prior to its end.

You will receive a notification to let you know that the plan will end soon and after it has expired.

13. Am I able to repurchase my Freedom plan after it has expired?

 Yes, you will be able to repurchase your plan once it has expired

14. How many times can these bundles be activated?

As many times as you wish. As long as you have enough credit, you can choose a new Freedom plan, even while you have an existing plan or bundle. Voice and Data allotments will be accumulated and we will keep longest expiry date.

15. What happens when the megabytes in my Freedom plans are finished?

 You'll receive a friendly text message giving you options to renew your Freedom plan or buy extra data (an Add-On).                                                                            

16. Will I incur charges once my data is finished and my plan is still active?                 

 Yes, Prepaid Data out of bundle rate: ECD $0.30 per MB

 17. If I am on a call within the duration of the Freedom Plan and it expires, what happens to my call?

If you are on a call and your Freedom plan expires, your call will not drop. However, you will be charged for the remaining portion of the call at Pago rates.

18. Will I need credit on my account to access LTE Data?

Customers are required to have credit to be able to activate a data plan or to access LTE at the applicable Pay As You Go rates.

Prepaid Data Pay As You Go rate: ECD $1.10 per MB

19. What rate do I pay if I use my phone as a modem or hotspot with a computer (i.e. Tethering)?

Tethering is charged from the available data bundles allotted to your selected data plan. If a data plan is not activated, data consumption will be charged at Pay As You Go rates.

1. How can I purchase a Postpaid Freedom plan?

Postpaid: To continue to access LTE speeds customers are encouraged to sign up for one of Digicel’s Freedom Plans.

New Postpaid customers may visit an authorized Digicel dealer with the required documents in order to activate a Freedom Plan.

Existing Postpaid customers may switch to one of the new Freedom plans by visiting an authorized Digicel dealer.

2. How do I activate an Add-On?

Add-On bundles can be purchased via My Digicel and Web.

Roam like You’re Home Caribbean will be activated upon activation of the POSTPAID MAX plan.

3. Will my plans renew?

Postpaid: Freedom Plans will not renew, they will remain active unless the account status is changed.

Additional Terms and Conditions


This product is offered for the personal use of individuals and not commercial use or usage by groups of individuals. Any usage at all by an individual that, in Digicel’s sole discretion, is intended for financial gain or profit by you or by groups of individuals will result in the immediate termination of this promotion.

Digicel reserves the right to terminate your use of this product forthwith without notice if, in its sole opinion, the promotion is being abused by you.

Digicel reserves the right and at its discretion, to modify or discontinue (permanently or temporarily) this product being offered to its customers.

Digicel reserves the right to at any time, with or without the notice, to vary or cancel the terms and conditions of its product. In the event of Digicel giving notice to customers of any such changes to or cancellation of the Product, it shall suffice for Digicel to give customers notice via messages to customer’s handset/device or to post such notification on Digicel’s website. Any such notification shall be effective immediately or as of the date referred to in such notification.

Customers should be solely responsible for keeping their mobile handset properly secured and for all activations and other activities that occur on or through their mobile handsets. Any request made via the use of a USSD code from a mobile handset shall be deemed a legitimate request from the customer to whom the said mobile handset is registered. Digicel shall not be responsible for any losses arising out of the unauthorized use of a customer’s handset.

Subject to the above, the standard Prepaid, Postpaid and 4G terms and conditions shall apply.
