Friday, 4th September 2020 I Suva I Fiji – Digicel today announced its All In for Fiji initiative which will see a total of $50,000 handed out for various community projects in the country.

All in for Fiji $50,000 cash grants for community projects is to mark the nation’s 50th Independence celebrations next month.

Digicel Fiji CEO, Farid Mohammed, said; “We want our people to make a difference in their communities and we are supporting them to start their own development projects. We know there are many ideas to see communities uplift and we want to hear from you so we can help with funding to address these issues.”

Digicel has been involved heavily in various community projects since 2008, including relief supplies during natural disasters, refurbishment of the Suva CWM Hospital maternity ward, and support for the Fiji Heart Foundation, WOWS – Fiji Cancer Kids, United Blind Persons and $100,000 cash sponsorship for Team Fiji Special Olympics for last year’s World Games.

“We are All In for Supporting Communities and we want to provide much-needed help to our people. This funding will help individuals or groups implement projects to uplift local communities. We want to empower, support and help to positively impact the lives of others. We invite you to send in your ideas to address health, education, youth empowerment, sustainable livelihoods, community safety and more,” added Farid.

“This year we wanted to celebrate our proactive involvement in community development by focusing on ensuring that our investment would touch the hearts of people. Our fellow Fijians are going through tough times during the Covid-19 pandemic and we want to bring hope, confidence and a sense of belief back in our local communities.”

“We want you to be agents of change in your community, and be proud that through the work you do, Digicel Fiji is able to contribute to the development of the nation,” concluded Farid.

We will continue on this journey and want to bring the best to our people in the Pacific.”
