Wednesday, 18th July 2018 – Suva, Fiji – Digicel Fiji today announced its sponsorship of the 2018 FANCA Carnival to be held in Lautoka from August 1st to 5th. The significant partnership will help the Fiji Muslim Sports Association to organize another successful carnival.
Digicel Fiji CEO, Mike Greig said,” Today we are delighted to extend our partnership with the Fiji Muslim Sports Association, the organisers of the five-day FANCA Carnival. We are proud to sponsor this event for the second time, after the inaugural 2016 carnival, which brings hundreds from around the world to Fiji to experience the Fijian hospitality and build partnerships and friendships through various activities and mainly the most-looked forward to, football tournament."
The biennial FANCA event will attract visitors and football teams from the United States, Canada, Australia and New Zealand along with the national team. The football competition starts with the official opening at Churchill Park in Lautoka on Wednesday, 1st August.
FANCA Organising Committee Chairman, Azeem Khan said,” I am happy to see that Digicel Fiji is on board as the major sponsor for the second time for a major Muslim event in this country. Our carnival around the FANCA football tournament will see friends, family and the general public have fun, enjoy games and a variety of food from the various stalls.”

The Digicel FANCA Carnival gets underway on Tuesday, 31st July with the official banquet to welcome all teams at the Girmit Center in Lautoka.
