July 27th 2016 - Sky Pacific set to launch new next generation set top box
Wednesday 27th July, 2016 – Sky Pacific today announced the impending arrival of a new feature packed set top box with pause, record and rewind functionality.
Digicel Fiji CEO, Darren McLean said this is a great new way for customers to experience television on their terms. “The new Sky boxes allow our customers to pause, record and rewind any show on the platform - meaning they will never miss a beat.
“A customer can simply now pause the action to answer their phone or attend to other chores in the house while watching their favourite show or even a live rugby match. It’s so simple, you just have to pause and when you return just press play – it’s a fantastic feature only available with Sky Pacific in Fiji.”
Sky Pacific customers can also schedule recordings of their favourite programs using the new features and watch it when they want.
“This is a fantastic new feature which allows Sky Pacific customers to get even more from their Sky subscription. Digicel promised to make some great improvements to Sky and we continue to do this. Our research indicates that this new feature will be hugely popular with our customers.”
The new boxes will be available for signups from the 4th of August from all Digicel stores. Existing customers will simply need to bring in their existing box and they will be eligible to upgrade for only $149. New customers will be able to sign up and purchase a new Sky system for $199.
