Other screenings will follow in Antigua and Barbuda, Barbados, British Virgin Islands, Dominica, French West Indies, Montserrat, St. Lucia and Trinidad and Tobago from 6th to 9th December.

“We chose Usain as our Chief Speed Officer because of his love for speed and his winning personality - all of which come to the fore in the movie. We are very happy for Usain and this achievement and we are excited about working with him again to deliver even more exclusive content and experiences to our customers,” said Peter Lloyd, Group Director of Marketing for Digicel.

As presenting partner of the premiere in the Caribbean, Digicel is rewarding customers with tickets through a number of activities including invitations and online competitions across Digicel’s social media platforms - Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. Speaking about the movie, Usain Bolt, who is Digicel’s Chief Speed Officer said; “This project is very special to me because I get to show the world more of who I am and what I’ve had to go through to get to where I am today – it hasn’t been an easy journey but that’s what makes winning so much more meaningful for me. So I’m very excited that so many of my fans will get to see it - I hope there is a lesson that will inspire everyone who watches it, especially young up and coming athletes.”

Directed by Gabe and Ben Turner and produced by Fulwell 73 Productions, the world premiere of I AM BOLT was recently hosted in London with a heavy serving of A-Listers in attendance, including sports and movie stars from around the world. The movie carefully chronicles the life and triumphs of the world’s fastest man – starting from the turn of the century with Usain in high school where his natural talents as an athlete were quickly spotted, to his training days with his incredible coach and sprint team to how he spends his downtime and relaxes with his inner circle of friends and family.
