New Postpaid Rates - FAQ

Effective February 3rd, Digicel will enact a 5% increase on postpaid subscriptions. This is to ensure that Digicel can continue to operate in a competitive global market to provide up to date technology to customers. As such there will be increased cost to the business.

We will continue to invest in our mobile networks to deliver improved coverage, data speeds and call quality. In addition, we have revamped our postpaid plans with added value to customers which includes free international minutes and Unlimited Data on selected plans.

Please note that the changes for postpaid customers take effect on February 3rd 2017,

I have received information regarding price increases on your products and services, how does this affect me?

Prices have changed on some of our postpaid services. I can provide you with the current pricing on the services that you currently use or for a full list of pricing changes, please visit our website:

I am thinking of changing my plan, how do I go about this?

I can recommend a plan that best meets your needs at this time.  We have a plan to fit your current needs.  Alternatively, you can visit our Corporate Office or Retail Store to choose a new plan.  Which would you prefer?

If customer opts to stay on call, proceed with: What is your current plan (may not be necessary based on info on screen of CSR) and what are your voice and data needs?

I am confused about the correspondence received, is there any action I need to take?

No, there is no action necessary. You will continue to receive the same quality service, and best value from Digicel with free international minutes and Unlimited Data included on selected plans.

Why is this price increase happening?

How does this affect my current bill/rate plan?

Your current bill will increase by 5%.  However, we have added value to your current bill.  Effective Feb 3rd when the price increase is implemented, postpaid customers will also have access to Free international minutes on selected plans monthly on their bills to call the US, Canada and UK landlines

How does this affect my minutes?

Bundled Minutes remain the same and can be used to make calls to all local carriers and Digicel regional calls as normal.

When do these changes take effect for postpaid customers?

These changes take effect for postpaid customers on February 3rd. As such bills due March 29th (i.e. February bill - Cycle:  February 3rd to March 2nd) will reflect the new pricing.
