Thursday 13th October 2016 – Roseau, Dominica: In celebration of Social Media Day 2016, Digicel launched ‘Facebook Flex’, a new service that allows customers to access the popular social media service without credit or a data plan.
A condensed version of the Facebook service, Facebook Flex allows customers to like, share and comment on posts, update their statuses, upload photos and send and receive instant messages, without incurring data charges. To access premium content like photos and videos, however, customers can activate a data plan.
