XtndMe - Prepaid Offer

1.       What is XtndMe?

The XtndMe offer allows you to stay connected even when out of credit.  If there is the immediate need for phone use, but your account balance is less than $1, you may take advantage of unlimited local voice, texts and 50MB of data for two (2) days. That means, as a Digicel customer, you can have a zero balance and still use your phone for an additional two days. Having used the service, an auto deduction of BMD 5.00 will be made on your next top-up.

2.       When does this promotion start?

Digicel’s XtndMe offer went live on Wednesday, October 21st 2015.

3.       How does this subscription work?

You will receive a SMS from “REWARDS” and the rest is simple. Dial the easy to use short code and the XtndMe offer will be activated on your account (the system will determine your eligibility before the invite is sent):

  • Opt in to the subscription via short code *147# and follow the instructions received via SMS.
  • After opting in, your account will be credited with a subscription, giving you access to unlimited local calls, texts, and 50MB of data for 2 days.

4.       How do I become eligible for Digicel’s XtndMe product?

To be eligible for the XtndMe offer, you must fit three criteria:

  • Have a credit balance of less than BMD 1.00.
  • Have no active subscription (Freedom, Go Social, Daily, Boost).
  • Have no active XtndMe subscription (if you have not paid off current one).
  • Number is active on network for over 90 days.

5.       If I know the short code, would I be able to activate XtndMe without receiving the SMS from “REWARDS”?

No, the system will determine your eligibility for the offer. If the SMS is not received, you will not be able to optimize and take advantage of the offer.

6.       Can I change the XtndMe offer?

The duration and other variables of the XtndMe offer is not subject to control.  The allotment within the subscription is set.  That is, 2 full days of unlimited local calls, texts, and 50MB of data. 

7.       Is there a transaction fee for using XtndMe?

No, you will not be charged a transaction fee for opting in.  However, having used the service, an auto deduction of BMD 5.00 will be made on your next top-up.

8.       Can I top up via Credit U?

Yes. You will be able to top up via the Credit U method.  However, this top up method will not result in a deduction of credit, and you will still be required to pay the subscription fee of BMD 5.00 on your next regular top up.

9.       What methods of top up qualifies with the XtndMe offer?

  • Direct Top up
  • Online Top up

10.   Is there a validity period before I can make another request for XtndMe?

As a Digicel customer, you may make a request for XtndMe once you meet the below criteria:

  • Have a credit balance of less than BMD 1.00.
  • Have no active subscription (Freedom, Go Social, Daily, Boost).
  • Have no active XtndMe subscription (if you have not paid off current one).
  • Number is active on network for over 90 days.

11.   If I have an outstanding balance for a previous XtndMe transaction, will I still be able to opt in for another one?

No, you will not receive another XtndMe offer until the overdue balance has been cleared. 

12.   Are there any persons not eligible for XtndMe?

Yes, the XtndMe offer is not applicable to postpaid customers, and prepaid customers not meeting the outlined criteria.

13.   How will I know that XtndMe is available for me, or has been successfully activated?

We have created a “REWARDS” SMS response system that will notify you when you are eligible based on two criteria (your balance must be below BMD 1.00 and no current active subscriptions).

This will then trigger a SMS (first SMS in below table) to be sent to you (once daily if you fit the criteria). At this point you can then choose to activate the product being offered by dialing *147#.

After accepting the product to be activated you will be notified by a SMS either informing you that the product is now active (second SMS in below table), if you no longer fit the criteria, or there was an issue activating the subscription (third SMS in below table).

Once 48 hours have passed, and the subscription has expired, you will receive a final SMS (last SMS in below table) which then means that you are now back on the prevailing standard rates for calling, texts and data; at this point you should top-up to continue using our network.

 

14.   When will this promotion end?

This promotion is on-going and currently has no end-date.
