Q: How do Digicel Easy Chat Voice Plans Work?

A: Digicel Easy Chat Voice Plans offer new and existing postpaid customers talk and text plans starting at $39. All Easy Chat plans include unlimited Digi to Digi Talk. A full list of rates can be found here.

What is Digi to Digi Talk?

A: Incoming and outgoing local calls from one Digicel number to another Digicel number.

Q: What is Other Net Talk?

A: Incoming and outgoing local calls from one Digicel number to another network.

Q: How do I sign up for an Easy Chat Plan?

A: To activate a Digicel Postpaid Easy Chat Plan, simply visit one of our retail stores, contact Customer Care at 500-5000 or email info.bermuda@digicelgroup.com.

Q: When do the Digicel Postpaid Easy Chat Plans start?

A: The Digicel Postpaid Easy Chat Plans start 12:01am, Thursday, January 26th, 2017.

Q. As a current customer can I move from one plan to another?

A. Yes. You can move from another Postpaid Voice plan to an Easy Chat plan or from Easy Chat to a 12 / 24 Month Smartphone plan. However, for up to date eligibility, just ask in store or by calling 500-5000.

Q: How does the Long Distance feature of the plan work?

A: The Essential and Deluxe Easy Chat Plans include international SMS: Essential has 500 international SMS and Deluxe has unlimited international SMS. The Classic Easy Chat plan does not come with any international SMS so a $0.25 overage fee will apply per text.

Easy Chat plans do not come with International Minutes but you can call around the world starting as low as 15¢ per minute with the Digicel Long Distance Ultimate Plan or add-on a Digicel Long Distance plan. For full details on Digicel Long Distance plans and rates, please click here.

Q: Can I purchase data on an Easy Chat Plan?

A: Yes, you can purchase a Data plan or Roaming Pass for international traveling. You can find more information on Data Plans here.

Q: What additional features (“bolt-ons”) can I add to these plans?

Q: What happens when I reach my plan limits?

A:  The Deluxe Easy Chat Voice Plan comes with unlimited minutes and SMS. For Classic and Essential Easy Chat plans, the local overage rate is $0.30 per minute or $0.20 per text. If you want to use Data you will need to activate a Data plan. You will find more information on Data Plans here.

Q: If I am a new Digicel customer, do I have to pay a fee to activate an Easy Chat Plan?

A:  In most instances, there is an activation and SIM card fee applicable for new customers. There is no activation fee for existing Digicel customers who activate a Digicel Easy Chat Plan.

Q: Will I have to change my number upon activating a Digicel Easy Chat Plan?

A: Digicel Postpaid Plans require a Digicel Postpaid SIM card.  Existing customers with an active local mobile phone number will not be required to change their numbers when moving to a Digicel plan.
