1.       How long will this promotion run for?

2.       How does this promotion work?

Customers purchasing a direct top-up with $20 or more, will receive a Digicel scratch card from the vendor or store which they purchased the top up. Once the card is scratched and there is an instant prize to be won, it must be redeemed from one of  the authorized locations. Cards with try again and prizes won can be placed in the bins provided at the authorized locations, with the customer’s details for a chance to win the grand prize.

 

 

3.       How does one qualify for this Promotion?

In order to qualify for a scratch card, customers must:

o   Complete a direct top-up of $20 or more

7.        Are all forms of electronic top up included in the promotion?

No. Customers purchasing $20 or more top-up directly from a store or vendor will receive a scratch card.

Top-up methods not eligible for this promotion are-

8.       What forms of electronic top is included in the promotion?

All forms of electronic top up are included i.e. Direct Top Up from any store, vendor or GTECH machine

 

 

9.       What criteria does a customer have to fulfil to be able to enter the Scratch & Win Christmas Promotion?

·         Winner must be a legal resident of Barbados.

·         Winner must be 18 years of age or older to claim prize.  (In the instance where the winner is less than 18 years, the prize will be awarded to a legal guardian.)

·         Winner must have an active Digicel prepaid account to claim their prize.

·         Customer must permit photographs to be taken for PR purposes in order to be eligible to win.

 

 

10.   Who will be eligible for Prizes?

·         All prepaid customers that have topped up BDS$20 or more during the specified period either by purchasing through any form of electronic top up indicated above

·         Also, all customers that purchase a sim card or handset  along with $20 or more

 

 

11.   Are there any persons who are not eligible to enter the promotion?

Persons in any of the following categories are NOT eligible to participate or win prizes:

·         Any person who at any time on or after September2018  was or is a director, officer, employee, agent of Digicel Barbados (or the relevant island) or any of their respective parents, subsidiaries, divisions, or affiliated companies, franchisees or service agencies or independent contractors

·         Individuals engaged in the development, production or distribution of materials for the Promotion (collectively the Promotion Entities)

·         Persons who are or purport to be immediate family members (defined as biological parent, step-mother, step-father, sister, brother, daughter, son or dependent or spouse of any of the foregoing) of any person in any of the preceding categories, regardless of where they live, or who reside in the same household (i.e. who have lived in the same household for at least three (3) of the twelve (12) months preceding the start of the Promotion Period, whether related or not) as any person in any of the preceding categories.

 

 

12.   What are the Customer Terms and Conditions for this promotion?

·         This Promotion shall be called the Scratch & Win Christmas Promotion.

·         This Promotion will run from December 1st 2018 until January 31st 2019.

·         Grand Prize draw – February 11th 2018

·         In order to qualify for prizes customers must:

o   Purchase a handset and top-up with $20 or more

o   Top up with the value of $20 or more on any given day.

o   Purchase and activate a sim card with $20 or more

 

What is the new acquisition offer?

From December 1st , 2018 to January 31, 2018 (the “Promotional Period”) by purchasing a selected prepaid smartphone or SIM card you will enjoy FREE bonus data every month for up to 1 year/ 6 months! In order to receive the benefit you will be required to top up from $20.00 or more in one single top up event during the first 7 days of any given month.

 

Who can benefit from the bonus data?

All new Digicel prepaid customers who activate a new sim card and all Digicel prepaid customers when buying an applicable smartphone, during the Promotional Period.

How is my free bonus data work?

The bonus will be allocated only if the monthly top up condition is met in one single top up event during the first 7 days of any given month. The validity period of the bonus data will be 7 days.

 

Can I use my bonus data when roaming?

No. The bonus data can only be used for local data usage, it does not apply for roaming.

 

How often will I receive my free bonus data?

You will receive your bonus data every month during the Promotional Period once the top up criteria is met every month.

 

If my free bonus data is depleted, am I able to continue accessing data services?

Yes. Once your free bonus is depleted, customers will have the option to continue their data session using an existing plan or buy a new data plan by visiting p.mydigicel.net or by dialing the relevant USSD code.

 

Will my bonus data automatically renew?

No, your free bonus data will not auto-renew.

 

Will my bonus data rollover?

No. Your bonus data doesn’t apply for rollover, customers will lose any unused data.

 

How can I Claim my bonus data?

Very easy, you just have to dial *172# to claim your first bonus data, the following bonus data will be activated automatically only if you top up from $20 during the first 7 days of each month.

 

Do I receive a notification after receiving my bonus data?

Yes. Customers will receive a SMS advising that they have successfully receive the bonus, the allotted data and usage period.

 

How do I check my bonus data balance?

You have two ways:

1- Service Menu: Dial the relevant USSD code from your phone *246# - press option 7 and then 1  to enter the ‘Balance check‘ and expiry to see your available minutes and/or data balances.

2- My Digicel App – click on the app and go to ‘Accounts and Balances’ or access via p.mydigicel.net.

 

Do I receive a reminder of how much data I have left in my bonus?

Yes. You will receive a text message when you have reached the following balances:

  50MB of data remaining

  25MB of data remaining

  0 MB of data remaining

 

What will happened if I don’t meet the top up criteria during 2 consecutive months?

You will loose out on the promotion!

In any of these events notice will be given via media advertisements or messages to subscribers and will be effective immediately or as of the date referred to in such notifications.

Customers should be solely responsible for keeping their mobile handset properly secured and for all activations and other activities that occur on or through their mobile handsets. Any request made via the use of a USSD code from a mobile handset shall be deemed a legitimate request from the customer to whom the said mobile handset is registered. Digicel shall not be responsible for any losses arising out of the unauthorized use of a customer’s handset.

By entering into this promotion, the customer understands that Digicel may collect and process the customer’s personal information which include the customer’s name, telephone number, home address and any other information that is necessary in connection with the promotion. Very easy! Customers who sign-up for a Postpaid plan- Postpaid Max and Extra plans will pay the lesser value of the previous lower plan for 3 months and enjoy more data and talk.

 

3.       Is this promotion available to all customer?

Yes, this promotion is available to new customers who wish to sign up for the Post paid Extra or Postpaid Max during the promotional period of December 1st – December 31st 2018.

 

4.       Can I upgrade my plan and pay a discounted fee?

No, this promotion is for new customers only.

5.       What documentation do I need to sign up for a postpaid plan?

  • A valid form of government issued ID;
  • The deposit for the plan of choice (if required after cred check)

 

6.       Is there any length of contract required to enroll to the promotion?

  • Yes. A 24 months contract is required to receive the first 3 months’ price discount.

 

7.       What will happen once I finished my 3 months discount period?

  • You will receive an SMS reminder advising that you’ve reached your last month of the discounted price. After 3 months customer will start paying the regular plan price.

 

8.        Will I be able to switch from a higher plan to a lower one?

  • Only after the contractual period of 24 months have passed. Failure to comply will result in lost of deposit (if applicable) or customer will have to continue to pay for the remaining period.

 

9.       With this promotion will I still enjoy the rollover of unused data and talk?

Yes, as many times as you have left over data and talk and as long as your account bill is paid in full and on time.

 

10.       What will happen once I finished my 3 months discount period?

You will receive an SMS reminder advising that you’ve reached your last month of the discounted price. After 3 months customer will start paying the regular plan price.

 

11.       Are there any persons who are not eligible to enter the promotion?

1. What is the Chances to Win Promotion?                                                                                             

  • Time to share and spread the love! Under the Chances to Win Promotion (the “Promotion”), from December 10, 2018 to January 31, 2019 all top ups, plan activations, contract signing for example, for a Postpaid plan and bill payments on time and in full (the “Qualifying Event”) will give you a chance to win amazing prizes on weekly raffles and accumulate entries for the big jackpot on January 31st, 2019.

 

 

2. Who can benefit from the Promotion?

  • All Digicel prepaid and postpaid customers will have the opportunity to get an entry in this Promotion for one chance to win a weekly prize. All customers will have a chance at winning the grand prize. Exceptions to participate in this Promotion are the following: Business Solutions subscribers, Digicel Staff Lines and hybrid subscribers. 4. How does this Promotion work?

  • The Promotion will run from 12:00 a.m. on December 10 2018 to January 31, 2018. During the Promotion, every Friday between 10 a.m. and 10:10 a.m., with the exception of the last draw date (the big jackpot), Digicel’s Raffle Manager System will select a list of five (5) qualified customers. Only the first three customers will be contacted by a Digicel Customer Care Representative in the order in which they were selected. If the first three customers are unreachable or unwilling to participate, the remaining customers will be contacted until a winner is found. Note that entries added to the weekly raffle after 9:59a.m on a Friday will not be counted in the selection process between 10 a.m. and 10:10 a.m. These entries after 9:59 a.m. on a Friday will be counted in the selection process for the following week’s raffle.

7. Would I receive a notification in case one of my actions qualified to participate in the raffle?

  • Yes! With each qualified entry you will receive an SMS notification that will advise you the number of entries you’ve earned and also the instructions on how to check the entries balance that will participate for the big jackpot.

 

8. How would I know if I win a prize?                                                                                                         

  • If you are one of the winners, a Digicel Customer Care Representative will contact you by phone call to let you know your prize. Digicel will attempt to contact customers two (2) consecutive times between 10:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. the day of the raffle only and if the customer’s number is busy, there is no answer, the phone is off or goes to voicemail or if the customer does not want to participate in the Promotion (for example, for religious reasons), another customer will be contacted. Every Qualifying Event after the weekly raffle ends, will participate for the next weekly and the big jackpot. Prizes must be taken as stated; prizes are not transferrable, exchangeable or redeemable for cash or other prizes. Upon accepting the prize, each winner will be required to consent to any planned publicity in connection with this Promotion for the use of his or her name, likeness, image, photograph on Social Media advertising without further compensation, throughout the entire world in perpetuity. If the customer refuses, another customer will be selected.

 

9. What documentation do I need to present if I win?

  • Winners will be required to present a valid Government issued photo ID (passport, voter’s identification card or driver’s licence).

 

10. How can I check my entry balance?                                        

  • Very easy! Prepaid Customers can always check entries balance by dialing *120*202#, the number of entries you’ve accumulated up to date will be displayed.

 

 

11. What can I do to get more chances to win?

  • If you are a Prepaid Customer, you will get more chances to win every time you purchase a Top Up and activate any of our qualified Quick Pick Bundles to earn more entries. To get the best of it and enjoy more Data + Talk we invite you to sign up for a Postpaid Plan to get most of the entries. If you are a current Postpaid customer, you get chances to win if you upgrade your Postpaid plan or pay your bill on time and in full. 12. Will I receive a message every Friday advising when the raffle will start?

  • No, but if you are a winner, a Digicel Customer Care Representative will be in contact with you to let you know your prize.

 

13. If I am an existing Postpaid Customer, can I participate in the raffle?

  • Absolutely yes! To participate you must pay your postpaid bill on time and in full.

 

 

14. How many days do I have to claim my prize after I receive the winning call?

  • Customers must claim their prize within 14 days after they have received the winning call. After 14 days have passed, customers will be deemed to forfeit the prize and the prize will remain the property of Digicel.
