02/02/2018 – Bridgetown, Barbados: DIGICEL BARBADOS is celebrating its 14th anniversary and Valentine’s Day for the entire month of February by giving back to loyal customers.
The total communications company started off its ‘14 Years of Love promotion’ by gifting $50 in free petrol to lucky Digicel customers filling up their vehicles at Sol Warrens last week.
Company CEO Alex Tasker, who attended with the `Digicel Love Bug team` said, “Fourteen years are a milestone to be celebrated and as customary we wanted to mark the occasion by expressing our gratitude to customers who have been faithful to us over the years. We are always thrilled to be able to celebrate our customers and to put smiles on their faces and we were able to do just that once again.
Tasker also noted that from inception Digicel promised to provide superior products, technology, value and service to its customers and the company continues to keep that promise.
He added, “We look forward to serving them for many more years to come and over the next few weeks they can look out for many more exciting activities and events as we celebrate our anniversary with them. The first of which will see our Love Bug team distributing sweet-treats on the highway this week.”
One of the lucky Digicel customers to receive free petrol, Damien Blackman, said he was pleasantly surprised and thanked the company for always putting its customers first, adding, “This was a really nice gesture. You don’t really see others doing things like this very often, so it is really nice of Digicel to give back in this way.
“I have been a Digicel customer for all fourteen years and the service has always been good. I haven’t had any complaints, which is the main reason I have remained a customer for all these years. Added to that, I have always found the pricing to be fair and the coverage excellent.”
Jacqueline Carter, also a Digicel customer from inception, was thrilled with her reward, saying, “I have stuck with Digicel for the past 14 years and do not intend to change. Today was a good activity for customers. I had no idea this was going to happen. I was heading back to work and decided to stop and fill up first and this was the result. Thanks Digicel.”
Kemar Yearwood, who joined the Digicel family as a customer three years ago said: “My experience with Digicel has been good, especially on days like today. I have never won anything in my life, so this is great. Since becoming a customer I can say the service has been reliable. I don’t have any issues with calls dropping or the like and I really enjoy the convenience of the My Digicel App.”
