With the potential threat of a Tropical Depression bearing down on Barbados over the next couple of days, Digicel would like to inform its customers, its staff and Barbados as a whole that its storm contingency plan is in high gear and the business has everything in place to best manage the events of the coming days.
Digicel’s Management Team, headed by CEO Conor Looney, will continue to monitor and track the tropical disturbance. Specifically, Digicel has ensured that all of its cell sites and other technical facilities across the island are fully supported by back-up generators which are ready to go in the event of a power failure.
Commenting on Digicel’s preparedness for the storm, Conor Looney, noted; “We are doing everything possible to be ready and able to ensure that from our point of view, this storm passes with minimum impact to our customers. Digicel is committed to the availability of our Networks for Mobile, Business, Internet, TV and Landline customers. Our technical and network maintenance teams are on immediate notice and are available twenty-four hours a day to ensure that Digicel customers stay connected across the island.
