This Plan Renewal Data Gift Promotion” (the “Promotion”) frequently asked Questions (“FAQ”) and Terms and Conditions (the “Terms”) apply to you and govern your participation in the Package for a chance to win weekly prizes and take advantage of a special discounted offer. You should read these FAQs and Terms carefully before participating in the Package.

“We” or “us” means Digicel Group Limited, a company registered under the laws of Barbados with registered offices 2nd Floor, William Tower, William Industries Complex, Warrens, St. Michael.  References to “we”, “our” and “us” in these Terms also includes our subsidiaries and affiliates (“Affiliates”) from time to time.

“I” or “You” means the person participating in the Promotion (and “my” and “your” shall have the same meaning).

By participating in the Promotion, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

If you do not agree to or accept any of these Terms, you should stop participating in the Promotion immediately.


1.      What is this Plan Renewal Data Gift Promotion all about?

Digicel is gifting customers 2GB bonus data when a 3Day or higher Prime plan is renewed.


2.      What is the promotional period for the Promotion?

This promotion will run from Monday, July 3rd, 2023 through to Saturday August 12th, 2023.


3.      Who is eligible to enter the Promotion?

In order to be eligible for the Promotion, as a prepaid customer you must renew your 3Day or higher Prime plan.


4.      How long will the Bonus Data Gift be valid for?

The bonus data gift will be valid for the same period of the eligible Prime Plan you have renewed.


5.      What plans are eligible for the bonus data gift when my plan is renewed?

6.      How do I become eligible to receive the 2GB Bonus Data Gift?

Plan renewal should be done on the following times in order to receive the 2GB bonus data gift:

·       On the day the plan is set to expire

·       Before the plan is set to expire (early plan renewal)

·       Within the 48 hours grace period after the plan has expired


7.      Will the 2GB Bonus Data Gift be applied if I transit to another eligible plan?

Yes, early transit to an eligible plan and the 2GB Bonus Data Gift will be applied. The longest validity rule will apply, meaning the 2GB Bonus Data will hold the longest validity.



    1) Customer on a 7Day plan transits on the 3rd day of the plan validity to a 14D plan. The 14D validity will apply. 2GB Bonus Data will be valid for 14 Days.


    2) Customer on a 7Day plan transits on the 3rd day of the plan validity to a 3D plan. The 7D validity will apply. 2GB Bonus Data will be valid for 7 Days.


8.      Will the 2GB Bonus Data Gift be applied if I transit from an eligible plan to a non-eligible plan to an eligible plan?

Yes, if a Prime plan has been activated the longest validity rule will be in effect.

No, if the customer activates any plan outside of the Prime Suite.



Customer on a 3Day plan transits to a 1Day plan and then activates a 3Day or higher plan.


9.      Will the 2GB Bonus Data Gift be applied if I transit from a non-eligible plan to an eligible plan?

No, this is now the first activation of the eligible plan.



Customer on a 1Day plan transits to a 3Day plan.


10.  How is the Bonus Data Gift applied?

The 2GB bonus Data gift is automatically applied to your Main Data when you renew an eligible plan.


11.  How do I sign up for the Bonus Data Gift Promotion?

You may visit any of our Retail Outlets to sign up with an agent or sign up through a Direct Sales Agent.



Terms and Conditions for the Plan Renewal 2GB Data Gift Promotion:

The below terms and conditions are applicable to all Digicel products and services:

·       This offer is NOT applicable to corporate customers.

·       Prime Bundles and Data only Plans activated online will not be eligible to collect the bonus data.

·       Digicel hereby specifically reserves the right to terminate, cancel, suspend and/or modify the Promotion/Product if any fraud, virus or other technical problem corrupts the administration, security, safety or proper play of the Promotion/Product as determined by Digicel in its sole discretion. In such event, Digicel hereby specifically reserves the right (but not the obligation) to award some other prize hereunder as determined by Digicel in its sole discretion.

·       Digicel reserves the right to at any time vary the terms of the Promotion/Product, to amend its Terms and Conditions, or to withdraw the Promotion/Product. In any of these events notice will be given via media advertisements or messages to subscribers and will be effective immediately or as of the date referred to in such notifications.

·       This product is ONLY applicable to New Postpaid and Prepaid customers at this time.

·       This service is only applicable for use in Barbados. While roaming, the customer will be charged at the prevailing roaming rates for Voice, SMS and Data usage.

NB: Due to system limitations, this cannot be displayed in seconds although the customers balance includes the seconds.

Customers will be able to transit upwards and downwards to any of the available plans based on the plan that is currently activated.



Digicel operates a fair usage policy (FUP). It is important to Digicel that all eligible Digicel customers are able to access our Services. Accordingly, we have devised a FUP which applies to all our Services. Digicel may rely on this fair usage policy where your usage of the Services is excessive or unreasonable as detailed in this paragraph. Digicel has developed a threshold for the Services and the related tariffs by reference to average customer profiles and estimated customer usage of the Services (particularly the estimated volume and length of calls likely to be made and data used by end users) (the “Threshold”). If, at the absolute discretion of Digicel, Digicel is of the opinion, that your usage of the Services materially exceeds the Threshold over any period (to be determined at Digicel’s sole discretion), Digicel reserves the right to charge you for the excessive element of your usage at your price plan's standard rate or to suspend, at its absolute discretion, modify or restrict your use of the Services or to withdraw your access to the Services entirely.

This policy applies to:

All Digicel consumer services in Barbados inclusive of but not limited to:

·       Fixed telephony

·       Mobile telephony

·       Fixed broadband/data

·       Mobile broadband/data

·       SMS services

·       Television services

·       Does not cover any of Digicel’s business or commercial offerings.


Why Fair Usage?

Digicel’s consumer services are designed and engineered for private non-commercial use by its individual customers. The networks are dimensioned to provide the best quality of service to a maximum number of its customers, on the assumption that customers’ use of the services fall within normal personal use. Whilst Digicel may offer “unlimited plans” for some of these services, “unlimited” should not be construed to mean “any”. The services are NOT designed or intended for unreasonable use such as:

·       Commercial use,

·       Business purposes,

·       Use of devices to reroute calls,

·       Resale of any service from our network,

·       For bridging conference calls,

·       For service to link two or more communications devices together for the purposes of providing a permanent or semi-permanent circuit

·       Voice services other than person to person voice communication

·       Unreasonable use is deemed abuse and in some instances fraudulent use.

Users of the services share some common infrastructure, communication links and other network resources. This fair usage policy is meant to protect the available network resources capable of delivering a service for those who mean to use it as it is intended. In the context of the unlimited plans, the services are there to be used by all subscribers of the plan. However, those who abuse it to the extent that it affects the ability of others use the services are in breach of fair usage and provisions of the policy would come into effect to restrict such users.
