The “Digicel DailyShake to Win” Promotion

These “Digicel Daily Shake to Win” Promotion (the “Promotion”) Frequently asked Questions (“FAQs”) and Terms and Conditions (the “Terms”) apply to you and govern your participation in the Promotion for a chance to win instant prizes. You should read these FAQs and Terms carefully before participating in the Promotion.

We” or “us” means NEW MILLENNUIM TELECOM SERVICES N.V., T/A DIGICEL ARUBA, a company registered under the laws of Aruba with the registered offices at L.G. Smith Boulevard 60, Oranjestad, Aruba, References to “we”, “our” and “us” in these Terms also includes our subsidiaries and affiliates (“Affiliates”) from time to time. “I” or “You” means the person participating in the Promotion (and “my” and “your” shall have the same meaning).

By participating in the Promotion, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

These Terms incorporate the MyDigicel Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy which you can access via the App.

If you do not agree to or accept any of these Terms, you should stop participating in the Promotion immediately.



1.       What is the “Digicel Daily Shake to Win Promotion”?

Digicel is offering its prepaid customers the opportunity to participate in its dailygame of chance known asthe “Digicel Daily Shake to Win”Promotion subject to these terms and conditions. The Promotion provides the chance to WIN instant prizes such as data add-ons, local and international minutes

The Promotion allows you to win prizes by shaking your phone via the ‘Shake It’ gaming mechanism in the MyDigicel App. Every participating customer will have a chance to win by using Shake It in the MyDigicel app on any day after activating a plan of 3 days or more.


2.       What is the promotional period for the Promotion?

The Promotion is valid from Wednesday, April 8th, 2020through to Thursday, April 30th, 202023:59 (the “Promotional Period”).  Digicel reserves the right to change the Promotional Period at any time and will notify same on the Digicel website.


3.       Who is eligible to enter the Promotion, (“Eligible Customers”)?

In order to be eligible for the Promotion, you must be a Digicel customer with an activeSIM and have downloaded MyDigicel app on the device.

The following customers are excluded from participating in the Promotion:

a.     Postpaid Consumer and Corporate customers



4.       Which Digicel prepaid/postpaid bundles/plans are included in the Promotion?

The Eligible Plans for other Participating Markets will be available on the respective market website at www.digicelgroup.com.Customers can also find the list of eligible plans in the ‘Shake It’ section of the App, which are specifically identified with the ‘Shake It’ Icon.


5.       How does a customer participate in the Promotion?

                       i.         To participate in the Promotion you will need to have activated an Eligible Plan via one of the following channels:

1.     MyDigicel app; or

2.     USSD/UMM (by dialing *170#).

                     ii.         EligibleCustomers will receive a ‘Shake It’ notification inviting them to participate in the Promotion.The notification will be received either via SMS push and/or an In-App notification.

                    iii.         By clicking on the ‘Shake It’ notification, and accepting the terms and conditions, the customer has confirmed their participation in the Promotion. (“Participating Customer”);

                    iv.         Once an Eligible Customer agrees to participate in the Promotion, they can then Shake To Win!

                     v.         Please note the ‘Shake It’ action must be completed in the App.

                    vi.         Participating Customers will onlyhave one (1) chance to win an instant Prize per activated plan.


6.       Will customers be notified when to participate in thePromotion?

Yes.  Whenever a Customer activates an Eligible Plan, they will receive an SMS/In App notification that they are eligible for a Chance to Win.

7.       How can a winner claim the prize?

a.     Instant prizes are activated automatically; the winner does not have to take additional actions.

b.     There validity of the instant prize is 24 hours, which starts immediately after the shake event.


Additional Terms and Conditions

A.     This Promotion is offered for your personal use and not for commercial use.

B.     We reserve the right to disqualify you or terminate this offer if, in our sole opinion, the Promotion is being abused.

C.     You are solely responsible for all associated fees and costs incurred by you for redemption of the prize, including but not limited to Withholding Tax or any other ‘winning’ tax.

D.     The selected winner must have complied with these Terms and Conditions to enter and be on an active, qualifying contract with no accounts held with Digicel being in arrears to be eligible to win the prize.

E.      We reserve the right to modify or discontinue (permanently or temporarily), this Promotion being offered to you at our discretion.

F.      We reserve the right to, at any time, with or without notice, vary or cancel the terms and conditions of this Promotion. In the event of us giving notice to you of any such changes to or cancellation of the Promotion, it shall suffice for us to give you notice via messages to your handset/device or to post such notification on the Digicel website or the App. Any such notification shall be effective immediately or as of the date referred to in such notifications.

G.    Any personal data relating to participants will be used solely for the purposes of this promotion by Digicel and/or by any agent appointed by it to assist with running the promotion on behalf of Digicel and will not be disclosed to a third party for any other purpose without the individual’s prior consent. By entering this Promotion, you consent to the use of your personal data by Digicel and/or any agent appointed by it to assist with running the promotion for the purposes of administration of the promotion (including publishing your full name and county and/or disclosing it to third parties on request if you are the winner) and any other purposes to which you have consented. H.      All entrants agree to take part in any promotional, marketing or publicity activities or events reasonably requested by Digicel.  By participating in the Promotion, entrants consent to the use of their name, likeness, image, photograph for any and all programming and/or publicity or advertising purposes, commercial or otherwise, in all media and formats used by Digicel’s or its agencies, without further compensation, throughout the entire world in perpetuity. If a winner refuses to do so, they forfeit their right to claim the prize.
