Digicel is offering you simply more through the BiP Share & Win Referral Promotion (the “Promotion”), by providing all BiP subscribers with the opportunity to win prizes.  

 

These Frequently Asked Questions (“FAQs”) and Terms and Conditions (the “Terms”) apply to you and govern your participation in the Promotion for chances to win certain prizes on the BiP mobile application (the “App”). You should read these FAQs and Terms carefully before participating in the Promotion.

 

“We” or “us” means Digicel Caribbean Limited, a company registered under the laws of Aruba with registered offices at Italiëstraat 38, Oranjestad, Aruba.  References to “we”, “our” and “us” in these Terms also includes our subsidiaries and affiliates (“Affiliates”) from time to time.

 

“I” or “you” means the person accessing or using the App to participate in the Promotion (and “my” and “your” shall have the same meaning).

 

By participating in the Promotion on the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

 

These Terms incorporate the BiP Terms of Use and Privacy Policy which you can access via the App.

 

If you do not agree to or accept any of these Terms, or if you are under the age of thirteen (13), you should stop participating in the Promotion immediately.

 

1.     What is the BiP “Share & Win” Referral Promotion?

Digicel is offering BiP users and their friends the opportunity to win prizes. For every three (3) friends that a user successfully invites to install the App, both the user and their three (3) friends are eligible to win prizes. Users of the App and their friends can win Telco Prizes (defined below) multiple times throughout the Promotional Period. Users can win Other Prizes (defined below) only once throughout the Promotional Period.

 

2.     When does the Promotion start and end?

The Promotion is valid from March 21, 2022, through to April 20, 2022 (the “Promotional Period”).

 

3.     Can I take part in the Promotion?

All users of the App who are subscribed to the “Share BiP & Win” Discover channel (the “Channel”) may participate in the Promotion. You must also reside in one of the following countries (“Participating Markets”):

Exclusions

The following persons cannot claim any prizes in the Promotion:

a.     Any person who, at any time on or after October 1, 2021, was or is a director, officer, employee, or agent of Digicel or any of their respective parents, subsidiaries, divisions, or affiliated companies, franchisees or service agencies, independent contractors or suppliers of services to Digicel.

b.     Any person who is not a legal resident of the Participating Markets; and

c.     Any person under the age of 13.

 

4.     How does the Promotion work?

Follow these steps to participate in the Promotion:

Step 1: Download and install the App from the Google Play Store on Android devices or the App Store for Apple devices.

Step 2: Subscribe to the “BiP Share & Win” Channel on the Discover section of the App.

Step 3: In the channel, select “Share with Friends”

Step 4: Record your First Name or Known Alias and the Telephone Number of the person you are referring, then click SEND. You can also copy the shown referral link to share with a Friend or have them scan the QR code.

Step 5: Click the home button to access the leaderboard to confirm your referrals have signed up.

Step 6: A notification will be sent either by SMS or Push notification to confirm delivery of the prize.

 

5.     Will I be notified when to participate?

Yes.  During the Promotional Period you will receive daily alerts via the Channel telling you what the prize for that day is and reminding you to share or refer BiP for a chance to win it. Alerts will also be posted on our social media pages daily.

 

6.     What types of prizes can I win?

You and your friends will have a chance to win the corresponding prize(s) in your Participating Market:

7.     What do I need to know about collecting my prize if I am a winner?

(1)  If you win a Telco Prize you will receive a phone call from one of our representatives notifying you and telling you how and when you can collect it.

(2)   Once you have spoken to our representative, you will have up to fourteen (14) days to collect your prize at the store or at the local Digicel office, otherwise it will be forfeited.

(3)   To collect your prize, you must still be a subscriber of the Channel at the time of collection and you must present valid proof of identification, which clearly indicates your age and that you are a legal resident of your Participating Market. If you are under the age of eighteen (18) you must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian, who will be required to provide government-issued identification.

(4)   You agree that if you are a winner, you will permit photographs of you to be taken and for your image, likeness and name (your “Likeness”) to be used for public relations and marketing purposes free of cost, including the publishing of your Likeness on social media, mainstream media, the App and other platforms that we may choose. If you are under the age of eighteen (18) your parent or legal guardian must agree to this on your behalf.

(5)   If you are unable to attend the scheduled prize presentation, you may send a representative on your behalf with appropriate identification for you as well as that representative along with a signed letter by you authorizing the collection.

(6)   Warranty and support information, where applicable, will be included in product packaging.

 

Additional Terms and Conditions

 

A.    This Promotion is offered for your personal use and not for commercial use and you agree not to sell any prizes claimed through this Promotion.

 

B.   You are required to use a compatible smartphone to run the App and participate in the Promotion. A compatible smartphone is an Android (OS 4.0 or higher) or Apple (iOS 2.0 or higher) smartphone.

 

C.   We reserve the right to disqualify you or terminate this offer if, in our sole opinion, the Promotion is being abused, such abuse to include but not be limited to selling or attempts to sell the prizes, whether on a commercial basis or otherwise, general abuse deemed as an attempt to undermine the integrity of our services.

 

D.    You are solely responsible for all associated fees and costs incurred by you for claiming and collection of prizes and for connectivity and data usage in relation to your use of the App.

 

E.    If you participate in this Promotion while roaming, you acknowledge and accept any and all fees associated with sending an invitation link via SMS. 

 

F.   We reserve the right to modify, extend or discontinue (permanently or temporarily), this Promotion being offered to you, at our discretion.

 

G.   If a prize is unavailable, we may, in our discretion, substitute the prize with an alternative prize of equal value and/or specification.

 

H.    We also reserve the right to award any forfeited prize to another random participant of the Promotion who landed on the correct prize for that day;

 

I.      Prizes are not exchangeable and are not redeemable for cash.

 

J. Where the prize in your Participating Market is a manufactured product, such prize is subject to the manufacturer’s warranty. Digicel makes no representation as to the functionality of the prize.

 

K.     We reserve the right to, at any time, with or without notice, vary or cancel the terms and conditions of this Promotion. In the event of us giving notice to you of any such changes to or cancellation of the Promotion, it shall suffice for us to give you notice via messages to your handset/device or to post such notification on the Digicel website or the App. Any such notification shall be effective immediately or as of the date referred to in such notifications.

 

L.  Any personal data relating to you will be subject to the BiP Privacy Policy and the Digicel More Platform Privacy Policy.

 

M.  Except in the event of its negligence, neither Digicel, nor any other person or party associated with the Promotion, their associated companies, agents, contractors and sponsors or any of its personnel involved in the Promotion, shall be liable whatsoever for any loss or damage incurred or suffered, death or personal injury suffered or sustained, or costs incurred, arising from either participation in the Promotion or from claiming or collecting any reward.
