Digicel pledges to assist staff with recovery efforts post hurricane IRMA

 

The Valley, Anguilla - Digicel Anguilla staff received a special visit from Chairman and Owner of Digicel, Mr Dennis O'Brien committed to provide relief supplies and purchase generators for each staff member.

On a visit to the island to see the damage first-hand and establish how Digicel can assist in kick-starting the country’s recovery, Digicel chairman and founder Denis O’Brien met with CEO Digicel Anguilla’s CEO Mrs. Kerchelle Jn Charles- Hodge to discuss how he could offer Digicel’s staff support.

On November 1st, 2017, the Digicel team were delighted to see that Mr. O’Brien’s committed had indeed been made when the telecommunication grounds was occupied with delivery trucks offloading relief supplies and brand new CAT generators.

The hurricane relief items included pallets of water, canned food, dry foods, beds, pillows, sheets and more. The chairman extended his support and admiration to the hard working team for their strength and resilience which they have shown in the rebuilding and recovery efforts post hurricane IRMA.
