As well as GSM services, Digicel is the only operator in the region to also offer services to international CDMA customers traveling in the Caribbean.

For those who require mobile data services like e-mail, Digicel was the first operator in its markets to launch GPRS services. The days of returning from business trips to an overflowing inbox are almost long-forgotten. Users can now either carry mobile phones with data access or they can carry their laptop with a GPRS card plugged into it and access the Internet at speeds from 35-45 kilobits per second.

And with a recent partnership with Vodafone, Digicel has strengthened its capacity to offer even wider roaming services as Vodafone and Digicel have become preferred roaming partners offering customers a seamless world-class mobile experience whilst they travel on each others’ network.

With the Digicel Vodafone partnership, Digicel offers new roaming capabilities across Digicel’s markets in the Caribbean and Bermuda and Vodafone’s global network. The agreement also extends to Digicel’s sister operation in Samoa.
